PD really need to stop doing these 700PP events. It's painfully obvious how bad the AI is it driving these cars, they cannot keep them on the road, ram into you, pit move you and brake check you on the exits of corners. Add to all of that the fact that it's on a (unrealistically) bumpy track, that's only wide enough for two cars at the best of times and it's complete nonsense. The whole field of cars is also completely pointless when there's the '05 Pescarolo running. That car is far too fast in the corners and is still unrestricted so it'll do nearly 240 MPH with ease too. Couldn't get much further away from reality.

It's annoying because there's a bunch of tracks that hardly ever get used, nor do we get longer races or changing conditions. I'd love to see a 10 lap GT3 race at Spa in the rain for example.

Ugh...I'm so glad I didn't stay up to wait for the new seasonal events to be released. I am just so fed up with the lack of creativity on PD's part. Have we EVER had a Nordschleife Seasonal A-Spec race that was under 600PP? I can't remember one. I absolutely love the Nordschleife, so I don't mind having the Expert level race here again, but I have hundreds of cars in my Garage that I'd rather be driving... I can't even go on...

A couple of months ago I thought to myself "Yeah, I know GT6 hasn't lived up to all the expectations, but it's still a fantastic game. Why are so many people abandoning it?" I think I'm getting to that point myself. :grumpy:

Wow, never thought I'd say this of the Nurb, but this event is easy once you get used to it. Not having to deal with penalties is also a definite blessing.

Made it with the LM55 (best car here, imo) and the C60 Hybride. Attempting it now with my trusty R92CP.

Great event and prize assuming you don't have the stealth, however the 2x is not good for this, so gonna try the lm55, there are several cars that spin and the time at start by the time you go through first checkpoint is 25 seconds ahead. But easy to beat them. Deltawing sucks.

Gold @ 6:29.859,, used the LM55 with a margin of 3.7 seconds ahead of the Sauber. Am I proud of this trophy,, was it fun? No,, not proud of being a dirty driver at all,, actually I very much enjoy racing tha Ring,, but this one I hated. What bothers me most about this one (perhaps some of you were able to pass clean,, I could not) is we're forced to drive dirty to have any chance to get to the front of the field in ONLY 1 lap - starting with the A8 as our first obstacle and virtually every car after it were either blocking, attempting brake checks, butt slamming, door slamming,, etc., etc. We enjoy driving events that test our skills as if we were driving a "real world" race and yes,, we aren't forgetting this is ONLY a GAME, but the PD game engineers are better than this,, they really are. These 700pp events could be run on a different track, one that has room to pass. Now, having emptied my mind of this one,, I'll fade into the darkness and go back to Quick Match where I EXPECT to get beat up! Good luck to you who are still struggling to get around this one,, it's a bugger!!

After five attempts, I won this Seasonal race with a de-tuned Pescarolo Courage C60 '03, that I had de-tuned down to 660PPV.

My Pescarolo Courage is certainly fast enough to catch the front-running AI rabbits, but twice the Pescarolo C60 Hybride blew past me on the final Dottinger straight going about 230mph:eek: My Pescarolo Courage could only do about 210mph so I was at a significant speed disadvantage going down the straight.:ill:

The Minolta Toyota is quite fast, and it would often lead the race until the Dottinger straight, where he too would get passed by the flying Pescarolo C60 Hybride!

This Seasonal is a decent challenge if you don't mind smacking a few AI off the road as you drive past them!:mischievous:

On one attempt, the Peugeot 905B EVO '92 was sitting cross-wise to the track (after an early spinout) and I T-Boned him quite nicely, which put an end to both our laps!:dopey::ouch:

See you on the track!

What cars have you won it with so far and what was the best car? I like to beat the event. ASAP then come back and try it with other cars. Thank you very much!

Edit: I won with the Judd after a couple tries. I like this race. It's so fast anything can happen. Plus I've driven the ring more than any other track by far so although it's tough I've gotten pretty good at it for an average driver.

Hey Chris. Have won in the Pescarola-Judd, 787b stealth, lm55 and the Nissan rc????? Best of all is the LM55. As others have said, this is not for the purist. Its a bit of a bump and grind to get through, but that's the way the AI are playing, so game on.

I know the Ring well and sort of enjoy driving it, and I enjoy and can handle LMPs. What bothers me about this event is that to win, you must drive in what by all accounts would be considered extremely dangerous driving in real life. I'll keep at it, but it's not fun and now simply a matter of pride.

I know where you're coming from, but I still have enough cars to keep this Seasonal fun. Will I win with every car I enter? Definitely not, but I still enjoy taking a lot of cars for spins and see how I do. Here's what I've currently got in my garage to choose:

  • Pescarolo C60 Hybride
  • Deltawing
  • Bentley Speed 8
  • Jaguar XJR-9
  • Mazda 787B
  • Audi R10
  • Nissan GT-R LM Nismo '15
  • Pagani Zonda R
  • Toyota T030 Hybrid
And the list goes on down to cars with under 600PP. Maybe I'll even mix in a VGT or three, but this is enough cars to keep me busy for several hours, and I probably won't even use them all.

I love the 908's handling...

And a 4.7 second gap is not bad at all, especially for a RWD LMP car.

I am getting a little tired of these 700 PP car races as well. With all the cars available in GT6 you would think PD could get a little more creative with the races. If it has to be the on the ring, why not have a race with 200-300PP cars for two or three laps where drafting and driving create a more interesting race. In the last couple of months we have had way to many races with the same cars. At this stage of the game I am having more fun with the slower cars that have not been tuned to the max. And could we get some different tracks from GT5 Special Stage Route5 and new york, Paris.

Just done a 6:20 total time in the Audi R8 '01 but had 2 very close calls with AI spinning out right infront of me although it was a pretty flawless lap and I won by around 9.3s. I'll be sure to take a picture of next win, now I'm trying a stock 787B with no aids of course!

Heres the result after the first try with the stock 787B could of been faster but oh well!

Next up the BMW V12 LMR

@The87Dodge Heres how I went and I had no real difficulty so you should be able to win it!

Edit: Done it in the BMW but it wasn't pretty, never before have the AI slowed me down that much. I even got pushed off by the Peugeot 905. Could of been 5s faster minimum

Won it with my C60 Hybride.

6:29.666 TC 1, ABS 1, SRF off, everything else also off and it was a clean race on top of that!!

Edit: Ran it again and was 7 seconds quicker. It's really a pain in the ass trying to do a clean race. :boggled:

Bcos on that day (1st August 1976) it rained and he was concerned for his safety. He call for a vote to cancel the race but majority of the racers disagree and so he had to race. And then he crashed and was out for two weeks. It was to be the very last time F1 raced on the Nordscheleife but for Lauda it was one race too many that almost took his life and a track that has claimed over 50 lives.

On a side note, seems Mazda's VGT car is the choice for this race.

Green Hell (name says all) had taken too many driver's lifes until Lauda 's accident no matter the weather conditions. Width, no gravel traps, barriers next to the road and high speed are the reasons. And a spectator lost his life too last year on the dry.

Was expecting to fail entering this as i used the DS3 (no time to setup the wheel). Won on my first try with the Sauber C9 (no tune, just used max downforce and adjusted the PP to 700). Overtook the leader well before the straight so they did not draft me.

"Adjust top speed by changing final gear to suit track?"

What?
It was tuned at Silverstone circuit. If you take the car to a smaller track, you have to shorten the final gear. For a track with a longer straight and more high speeds (not so technical-a-track) you need to lengthen the final gear slightly.

Oh yeah! I forgot about that event. I clicked the link and then it all came back to me. That was a VERY fun event!! I drove so many different cars in that one... ::sigh::

Yes, it was the best GT6 seasonal so far :). I was really sad when it ended.

Holy crap I hardly get under the 7 min. Sorry Shaunm your tune must be good but I turn it into a lawnmower.

Mercedes sauber 6:39 total time (6:36, thirth place) after many attempts. I think I need the weakest field to win this one.

Finally praiano's LM55 6:28, first place..
