Dunno what's going on. My R92CP of all things isn't cutting it.

Where I managed a 7:16 last time, I'm barely able to crack a 7:34 here. I can't imagine the different track layout accounting for that much of a time difference, so I don't know what's up.

I want to use a Formula car so bad on this race and trounce those LMP cars. PD should give us the option to take the race offline and use whatever we want, just to air-our our frustrations :D.

Kind of disappointed we can't use formula cars for any races, if we have ridiculous pp at this track getting to drive formula would add a lot of fun.

Well, I switched to the C60 Hybride and it seems that unlike with last time, not all cars can easily hit gold.

So, made gold by doing 1:23s laps. The C60's superior front grip and better turn-in appear to make it the better choice of car.

It's a shame because nearly all the LMP cars could do reverse so long s they were at 700pp. It doesn't seem to be the case now.

Yes this is harder than normal. I used a little AIDS in this chase, what a normally don`t need...

Traction control set to 1, and active steering on "strong" - controller driver here, so wheelspin is hard to control with that amount of insane power...

These AIDS helped me to win. I did not use SRF, though it is tempting. I imagine SRF would make the driving much more relaxing and fun, but it`s looked upon as a "buuh-thing" so I do not use it...

I believe it would be possible for me to win without active steering and trac, as i won the Tokyo Reverse without these, I guess I`m just not in the right, sharp moode/mode this time...

Around 1000BHP - that is much more than those cars have IRL right? If anyone know?

Stock transmission/manual,trc 0 and this tune 4 lap and you are first..i also use this on Apricot hill season event and WR place 111th,my best!
👍

I went ahead and spent 1/2 hour getting used to this car with this tune, on this track.

Setup changes:

5th gear to 1.792
6th gear to 1.533

Active steering: Strong, but for next attempt adjusting to Mild due to understeer-like condition

TCS: 2

ABS: 1

Steering Sens.: 7

On a DS3, this tune is pretty wild- lots of oversteer (unlike most C60 tunes), lots of straight line speed (but the gears were too short overall), and lots of throttle feathering necessary to keep the car going in a straight line. Watch out for those curbs- especially coming out of the fast chicane in 5th gear, try to avoid that one at all costs.

Edit: This was also with some questionable noob-ish mistakes included in that time...with a reasonably clean run it shouldn't be bad at all

It took a comparatively short practice to get close to the leaders- maybe 4 attempts within a 1/2 hour or so. I'll go back after dinner and wrap this one up, it really isn't all that bad with the right car and tune.

Just out of interest, has anyone got gold in this with the 787B? I keep trying but its just not happening...

Yes but it took 4 goes with the same field ( which seemed to feel sorry for me and slowed down with each attempt )

C60 Hybride is the best for this one by a big margin IMO

Took P1 in the Mazda LM55. Something must have gone wrong for them as the top three were bunched up when I overtook them early on lap 5. Laps at consistent very low 23s.

On goes SRF, active steering to Mild, and there ya go.

I highly recommend the C60 tune from a few posts ago in this thread...makes this not so bad at all

Fastest lap was a 1.22.345, slowest after the first lap was a 1.24.5xx... first lap was a 1.25.3xx

I used Praiano's tune from his garage..not the seasonal one..I was able to run 21-23's. I was doubtful about the small turbo at first..you lose top speed but its faster out of the curves

This is one damn hard race. I just tried it again, for fun, and it took 4 tries for me to beat it. Usually once I learn a track enough to produce good times I win almost every time. Not so with this one. Wow PD, you did your homework on this one!

Yup, good race. Sorry about the poor image, thats a 7:24 :P

Loved the reverse one, loved this even more. Keep it up PD! They should make this a fixed type of seasonal - LMPs, same difficulty, visiting different tracks and weathers.

I have done it in the C60, the Chaperral 2X and the LM55 but the 787B is giving me grief. Ah well I will get it eventually.

Finally did it!!!! After using praianoGT6's tune the best I could manage in the Pescaralo C60 Hybride was 2nd but after using this tune: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...icot-hill-raceway.330098/page-3#post-10792659

I managed 1st beating the Minolta by 0.220 seconds. If I can manage first in this event then I'm sure you guys can as well cos I'm only average  I wouldn't try doing this with another Pescaralo C60 Hybride in the field it's very very difficult. The first car I tried was the Minolta but I could only manage 6th so the C60 I think is the strongest car you can use for this one, definitely the hardest A-Spec seasonal I've ever been in it took me so many attempts to finally ace this one and a Tuscan Speed 6 Touring Car as a prize sweet! :P

I have tried it several times with different cars, but cannot get better than 5th.
After using the Pescarola C60 Hybride with the setting of Gran Praiano, I won at first attempt by 0.5 seconds, complete time 7.21.
Thanks for your input.

I ran a 5:23 in a 2J to win. Don't hit any cars or they will attack you! The Pescarola Hybrid runs a 5:20 so avoid getting in a field that includes that car. Good luck.

Tried the Mazda and got 5th. Then decided to see why people like the Pescarolo Hybride and i see exactly why you guys like that car for this. The turn in is amazing on it. takes a little getting used to being able to do that, but man it made it so much easier. I figure a couple more tries to get used to it and I'll have it. Kept ramming the walls a little too much.

Done with the C60...

A one car seasonal? No thanks PD...

Off to a more usefull thing to do... :)
I won with the C60 but like you said I am done with this one. PD needs to get creative. I did not even save the replay or post the video.

People always need to have something to complain about. In this case, LMPs @ R246 or the difficulty. It's like complaining how Ferrari always makes their cars red or AC/DC's musics are too loud.

I'm not interested in arguing, but some people should try to have more fun with a $20 game instead of expecting them to be something more than just that.

Roger that!!

I really don't get the haters!

It's an EXPERT level challenge which is not designed to be achievable for the average person 1st time. That's what the beginner and intermediate levels are for.

I'm no expert hence it took quite a few attempts, eventually taking 1st place with my Hybride '05 in 7m25sec

Top tip, wait for a Sauber to be in the lineup and the other Hybride '05 isn't as quick.

Set your transmission to 230mph and downforce max. Drive smooth and learn how fast you can take certain corners as that's where the seconds mount up!

At the end of the day all those giving up without really trying may as well play a different game!

Just took me 3 hours practice learning each corner!

I wanted to win with the LM55 so bad, took me 5 tries to get it, and that just barely. Back to the Minolta and I killed them. I wonder why I'm the only one using that car, it seems clearly faster than the LM55, Hybride, and Audi. Maybe I just like the way that car drives.

I don't understand how people can stand up for this challenge. Most people aren't complaining about it being to difficult, just it's practically the same as a challenge we just had.

With so many classes of cars and different tracks it makes polyphony seem lazy, or very forgetful.
THIS!

Forgive me if I've confused you with another GTP member, but don't you use Skid Recovery Force and Traction Control? With no aids activated, the Minolta can be quite a handful on this track. That's probably why the Minolta isn't being used quite as much in this event. I absolutely love my Toyota Minolta! I usually only run it at La Sarthe, however, as I have a very difficult time with the car on tight circuits.

I think most of the complaining has to do with the fact that we just ran this event (reverse layout) 4 weeks ago. It shows a tremendous amount of laziness on the part of PD. That's just my guess, however, because that is the main reason I'm upset with this seasonal event. I will admit that I'm not a big fan of LMPs on tracks like this, but it's because I have trouble seeing what's important...apexes, turn ins, etc..when the PP level is so high and things are moving so fast. It's the same reason I don't drive the Red Bull X cars...

The difficulty is definitely one of my gripes, but not for the reason you'd think.

The previous seasonal was tough until you got the hang of it. Then most any car at 700pp could do it. Now, not every 700pp car can get gold. Your choice of car is more narrow and that limits my enjoyment of this one. I dropped an insane amount of credits buying up all sorts of LMPs last time. Now only a handful can be used reliably. That's just disappointing.
