This is a fun event and I will probably run it through the end with this new tune. And here she is.

This was a fun little race, though the rubberband effect was quite pronounced. I think I'm going to try this one with a bone stock '89 Miata, just to see how hard I can make myself work lol
The only roadster I had was the '07 (NC) and it was basically stock. Won first try by 6.3 seconds. PD sure lightened up the expert event on this one.

... 1989 MX5... not the fastest but feels a lot more steady than the 07 Roadster. .. (tyres don't heat up as much and it's more forgiving)
All weight reduction... ballast of 72 at 50 to give 50/50 weight... power to 450pp... stock suspension and drive train. ..custom tranny for this track... really fun to drive with the wheel using the stick shift...

Come on man, try it with these specs!!!

418 PP - 161HP / 125TQ - 821KG

Great Tune! I have tried all the setups for this car and yours gave me a +8 sec win. I am a big fan of your tunes. Thanks for all the work you put into them.
No worries. Glad the tune worked for you. The biggest gap I have seen so far with this tune is 15 seconds so it has a lot of potential for anyone and everyone.

Found this dissappointingly easy with an '07, aero bits added, stage 1 weight reduction, sports exhaust and a couple other tricks to bring it to 450pp. Hardened the suspension some, and racing brakes. Has anyone noticed that the last rear wing option for the '07 looks like a nice discreet low profile wing in the preview pic, but when you click on it, it sticks on a big aeroplane wing instead?

Going to try some of those cool stripey older models now, thanks for sharing that @DisabledRacer, missed that original thread!

There was a time trial seasonal way back for 450PP CS here that called for 1:07 gold, sure enough you need to run a few 1:06s to catch the rabbit. Fun test, cornering , sliding a bit, drifting, not too easy and not impossible either.

At Fastestlaps.com the best MX-5 time is a 1:11.85, 1:07s are BMW M3 times .

My gold tune for this event is this smoking beast below.

strange i can’t get to 450 pp with this,mine is 470 pp
did no oil change and added only the power parts you mentioned
also added the weight at the same position
only painted and added the flat floor and a spoiler kit

The flat floor is not required for this tune. That is where your added PP have come from.

guy's how to set that DRIVING SETTING...example the ABS,ASM,ACTIVE STERING.....can't someone help me....

I used the tune that ALB123 posted with driver settings of only ABS 2 and got the gold with a 7:08 and a best lap of 1:06.7xx. This was frustrating me in my '04 MX-5 1800. The '07 model doesn't look as good IMO, but it's considerably faster.

Rather than the usual power addition, I decided to go the opposite route.
Installed a flat floor on the '07 and did a stage 3 weight reduction.
Adjustable suspension with spring rates around 8 or 9. And transmission set to 112mph max.
Carries speed through the corners and quickly regains any lost momentum out of the corners.
Super easy tune and fun car to drive.

I'll have to give it a try with the Flat Floor installed. Now that you mention it, this is probably the exact car & track combo suited for a flat floor.

I really like the 00 miata with a supercharger. It has 50/50 and even with my crap tune it will run 1:03's. So boring though, never thought I would miss the monaco expert race, but I do.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong here. As far as I can tell, the only premium ("detailed") cars available to drive in this race the following:

1. Eunos Roadster (NA SP) '89
2. Roadster RS (NC) '07
3. Eunos Roadster J-Limited (NA) '91

Not exactly a smorgasbord.

It's a lIttle upsetting. I really prefer car cars with an interior, and out 30 miatas only 4 have it I think. The touring car has an interior, but can't be used for this challenge anyways

Just ran a bunch of Miatas and came back to the money maker (cause its easy and fast) and felt compelled to share.

Roaster RS (NC) '07

Flat floor added

85/85
4.50/4.00
3/3
3/3
4/3
0/0
0/0

112 mph trans (full left)
3.8 final
8/8/5 diff

Fully lightened

Stage 2 engine at ~97%

This non flat floor/ABS 0 MX-5 is the easiest car to win with or without H. Bentley although got mistakes.
