I'll try.

Get under 7 minutes and get back to me. :)

I barely with zero aids with ds3. I lost like 2 seconds by turning abs off. Even with front brakes on 1 they locked very easy making tires hot and inducing understeer. Maybe it's because my front ride height is 15mm taller than the rear

I use tennis balls for my DFSW pedals.

Figured I would try flat floor 2007. With flat floor @ 450 pp I ran 7:01. With flat floor removed and no other changes pp dropped to 431 and I ran a 7:01. With power added to raise pp back to 450 I ran a 6:53.

Those times were my first attempts with that setup to try and keep things even. Flat floors slow down the vehicle a lot, so the miata at 431pp didn't handle as good as the flat floor setup, but it was significantly faster acceleration and top speed wise than with the flat floor setup.

Indeed, the flat floor really changes things. Instant 20pp slap in the face. Meaning, no power or speed, but the handling is so much more safe, it makes it the Miata Money Maker™.

Yeah the brake numbers are more or less like, modulation adjustments more than strength adjustments. Cause, you can still hit 100% brakes, it just allows more, or finer adjustments between 0 and 100. For shiiits, try 10 brakes and see how that goes.

He's got a DS3. A controller. Set em to zero then. But mainly, it's about finger control. Learn it. And use your ears. Listen to the tires.

I set front brake to zero and back to one and as long as I'm careful I run identical times to when abs is turned on. I use the triggers for throttle/brake though. I couldn't imagine running with abs off using the buttons or thumbsticks for making

I was surprised, with brakes at 10 and without abs it seemed pretty similar to brakes at 1. With brakes at zero it was quite different. I ran similar times with brakes at 10 and brakes at 1.

I did both sticks for 15 years, then just got a wheel. Wooooooo weeee.
Me too, aiming a T300RS but heard that those brake pedal is 👎 !!, especially I play with ABS 0 with Ds3 that lost about 1.8 second per lap at Tsukuba. Just hope the spring of the brake pedal can be replace with a stiffer one like the GTEYE.

Well Dave, now you know. Easy stuff. When you learn the no ABS way, you can manage. Good stuff.

Steve, I got sent a Driving Force GT wheel (thanks!), with the big red adjustable knob, and couldn't be happier. There are differences between it and the Logitech G27 (that's the good one) but it's really down to two things. The shifter paddle size and the pedal springs. The G27 needs me to (exaggerating) stand on the brakes, whereas the DFGT wheel has almost no pedal pressure at all. So people put sponge or foam bits under them. I'm not there yet and actually quite like the really light pedal. Reminds me of my Honda. It's not hard to adapt to the pedals really, and the difference between a stick master™ and the wheel and pedal is mostly about being able to actually put the car where you want, instead of hoping it'll go where you want. And that has changed everything. Nevermind the feedback from the wheel.

I was super consistant before and now, I can click off laps within 1000ths of each other.

👍

Not bad. Should be able to hit high 1:04. Take some of those curbs with confidence. They put all that green on the inside of that left there for a reason.

I've found 85mm to be the lowest I could go without the curbs messing up the car as I hit em.

I found these cars like torque. With the 00 miata turned down with all power mods except boost it picks up a lot of speed. Mine also like lowest possible rear end ratio with tall gears. I was hitting nearly 115 on the big straight. Shifting just under 8k I managed a 1:02.7 lap. Just changing gears made the lap times drop significantly.

After a few more races I'll be able to afford the 330 p4!

Gotta love the new miata, wish I bought car earlier. Normally with light cars I run a dual clutch, but this car seems happier with the triple clutch or whatever. I also picked up a bit of speed by switching back to stock diff, seems to run easier. I figured I'd try chassis reinforcement after I ran this time, and I'm not happy. Car is still fast, but not as nimble and is harder to drive. Stinks you can't undo that mod, guess I'll have to buy another 07 miata. My phone camera is on the fritz lol.

Flat floor is very slow. I run my front suspension higher and no camber, seems to help a lot. I also have done this challenge enough times to buy the p4

Also my miata was srf powered for that time. I ran a high 1:02 lap without srf but I wasn't very consistent. Without srf the car does mid 1:03 to 1:04 laps.

With flat floor the car doesn't neutral steer very well to keep speed up through the turns

Putting on the flat floor costs me a second a lap in this race, and that matches my previous experiments with it. Both examples were at 450pp.

Flat floors are pointless in PP-limited races. As to why PD implemented them in this manner is anyone's guess.

Edit:

What Driving Options are you guys using?

Why can't srf be taken serious, this game is far from a sim, just look at most online rooms or crazy ai tactics. Why diss srf, everyone should feel free to enjoy the game their own way, and feel free to post about how they enjoy playing.

If I have to pay 20 mil for a fake car you better believe I will use whatever methods I have at my disposable to get that 20 mil as fast as possible.

I'll put my non srf times against anyone, they might not be faster but they are usually competitive. To people that complain about abs, I appreciate the challenge without it but I don't know of any current cars that come without it. Sure in real life you can threshold brake a little better without it, but if you screw up your out very expensive tires, and most current road race cars have abs. Current gen cars in real life commonly have stability control, and show even have active steering. On a Ferrari fxx it's not even possible to turn traction control off.

To complain about someone using srf when it's clearly allowed is mean. I imagine racers in real life would use it if ur existed. Racers commonly use everything within the rules for the best times possible.

Don't be a srf hater:guilty:
