I must admit.... I lost control of the 92 HP, Subaru 360 '58 :embarrassed: but luckily, I still managed to squeak out a victory!

The pp limits on the first two A-spec races this week seem to be typos - should be 450 and 430 (not 550 and 530). First off I entered Silverstone with a Ferrari 365GTB4 '71 (stock). Found myself tearing past a VW Golf Mk1 (!) at warp speed and was miles in front well before the end of lap 1. Felt like a right chump. Similar experience followed with the London race.

New competition - there is an opportunity to set an all-time handicap record for these races.

Very easy win in the Alpine A110S 15th Anniv '72. I seriously love this car, the handling and the sound are amazing, one of my favorite cars in game.

Will do the event a few more times with other cars.

My three rabbits were a Ferrari Dino 246 GT '71, Lancia Stratos '73 and an Alpine A110 1600S 72. I used my Ferrari 365 GTB4 '71 completely stock, except for a tweak of the brake balance. I'm a little rusty behind the wheel due to lack of playing, but I was surprised at how poorly I drove my Ferrari the first couple of laps. I really upset the balance of the car through the medium/high speed section Maggotts & Becketts. The Red & White rumble strips really made my car unhappy there.

I'm not the biggest Ferrari fan in real life, but I absolutely adore the range of cars at my disposal in GT6! My next attempt will be with @Ridox2JZGTE highly acclaimed NICKS FORZA FERRARI DINO 246 GT '71 (Tune Here). This car is only about 450PP, but it drives splendidly. I can't recommend it enough.

I know this isn't a very traditional grinding event, but I have a feeling I will be running this race many times just so I can enjoy many of the cars in my garage that usually collect dust during seasonal events.

Oh, one more thing... If you have to cheat to win an Intermediate Level Seasonal Event, you probably shouldn't brag about it in these threads. I guarantee some people will look down on you for doing so. Remember: "A winner never cheats and a cheater never wins." 👍

Used a 365 GTB4 for this one...welp. Apparently the restrictions on this one are tight enough that the AI had no cheater rabbit cars available; the rabbit was a poor little Dino who barely kept the lead for a single lap. Silverstone is fun, though, and there's a good mix of cars in the field, so this one should be good for messing around with some of my old classics that I don't drive much.

Very odd PP from the AI. I did it in a stock Lamborghini LP400 and overtook everybody by Maggots and Beckets, my total time was 9:58 and I won by 35s

Edit: Also won with a stock Corvette Stingray

Went for it in my AC Cobra tuned to 530PP. Turned out to be a ridiculous overkill, winning by 40 seconds.. Although it was a fun way to do it. Very tailhappy car, lots and lots of drifting involved.

Oh yeah.... I won by 47 seconds! :mischievous: lol. Now you have something to shoot for... Try for a one minute victory margin! I know you are capable of doing so. 👍

Used the tuning tips provided by @DisabledRacer on my '61 E-type Jag and have won this race 10 times. Each with minor tweaks and with every tweak it just gets faster. Only has 524 PP. I will try it again at 500 PP since I have been winning by 18-20 seconds. I've kept it at 524 pp because this track is so long for slow cars. I guess it's time to start using different cars, it's just I love the sound of the Jag and it handles at least 10 times better than my first race. Maybe my '90 CRX will be next. Between this race and the expert race I'm already back to 48+ million credits. Now my garage is up to 250 cars. That means I have bought and ditched over 200 cars. I bought all of the 20 mil cars I wanted and all of my favorites when the game first came out. I might use 15% of them all the time and they are all of my favorites. PD has been very gracious with the payouts with this set of seasonals. I guess it's because the paint chips are junk IMHO.

I'm almost ashamed to say it, but this event actually took me 2 attempts... I opted for the Lancia Stratos as I thought it would be a good challenge, being 100PP down on the limit.... What really hurt though was forgetting to check the settings before starting, as I last used it for a drift event!

I only lost because of the stupid catchup system PD use in an attempt to make this some kind if challenge. I was leading by lap 2, but it meant the Ferrari stayed within 1 second of me throughout the next 2 laps. I got caught out by a slide through Stowe corner and there was little I could do to pass before the line. I was alongside the Ferrari though when we did reach the line.

All I did for the second race was raise the gearing from it's lowest setting. I was maxing at 102mph in first attempt, and the noise gets very annoying very quickly... Won by 2 seconds despite lapping some 4 seconds faster a lap.

The light blue stratos humiliates Sir Ben and the yellow stratos!

Note: Sir Ben is on the Marcos Mini Marcos GT '70... (kinda irony that he usually drives a lamborghini, and the Sir Ben i raced was a ghost!)

This is right up street so I did several runs, all with the Yellow Stratos rabbit.

My first run was in my trusty Spitfire at 450pp/SH. Initially I though the E-type was going to be the rabbit as he gave me a little challenge when I passed him and the Stratos for P1 (end lap 2). As I inevitably headed off into the distance, I didn't take any notice of the AI and must have been cruising until I saw the bright yellow in my mirror towards the end of lap 3. Once I concentrated again, I kept him at bay but a mistake would have seen him on me. Win by .8.

Next was something I don't see a lot of in the forums - '70 Honda 1300 Coupe. My car is at 400pp/SH (and is a slight variation of this tune). I was under geared for the long straight, and the Stratos would loom up in the mirror but as long as I was ahead by at least .8 at the marker I was OK by the line. Win by .8. This car is a great drive (even if I do say so myself ), if anyone is interested in the tune and tweaks, please shout up!

Then I went older and smaller with the Subaru 360 at 440pp/SH. This has only 77HP and I geared the FD too long :dunce:, so never got to into 5th. Only managed 6th place, I couldn't catch the pack :dopey:.

I must admit.... I lost control of the 92 HP, Subaru 360 '58 :embarrassed: but luckily, I still managed to squeak out a victory!

Good one. The extra 15HP must have made all the difference . It's a fun drive this car.

Finally for this stint, I pulled out an all time GT5/6 favourite, my Mini Marcos. This was at 430pp (around 140BHP), and I left the CS tyres on by mistake. This was the closest race as the grip makes your cornering speed closer the AI, but still pulled away in the final corners to win by .5. Love the Marcos, and this power level without turbo, was a nice balanced drive.

My overpowerd and heavily under steering mini Marcos GT '70 was to fast for the yellow stratos. Gold after 10:44,013
If you are interested in trying out my generic Marcos tune (not too much understeer!), I can post it up.

Sorry, long post in the end, but for what it's worth I think if you want a closer race, drop your tyres to comforts as well as your PP 👍.

Ditto! I'm currently on a business trip but can't wait to get home and roll out the Jag for this! Love that car!

Won this race using the Corvette Coupe C2 '63! Not a good car in the corners but I managed to catch and pass the Dome Zero!

Just for grins, I used my birthday car....a 1957 BMW 507 maxed out to 498pp and a basic suspension tune. Got Gold easily and was surprised with "an old dog new tricks" trophy.

I used the Dino. I thought I would see a better but it was very weak.I was able to get past the Dino rabbit midway through the 2nd lap after having a nasty spin out on the first lap. I really enjoy the Dino I might have to buy another one and try out the tune ALB123 mentioned

If a VW Bus with only 418 PP can take the lead on lap TWO and easily maintain it without really trying, then this challenge is way too easy for an Intermediate Level Seasonal.

EDIT: Tried it again and was 10 seconds faster than my previous attempt and the 2nd place AI car improved close to 10 seconds to make the race fairly close.

Win for my 61 Ferrari 250 GT. My usual "tune": bone stock, no oil change, no aids including ABS, cockpit cam. Add my post Holiday weight and we're at 448pp. Oh and CH tires. Clean run no AI contact.

These cars feel great on CH tires. Lots of body roll and tire complaints.

If you guys want to make these events more challenging, drop those tires down and run stock. Without ABS GT's cars come alive. Perfect for these fun old timers. I guarantee you won't have too many podiums using the back markers that way!

I take back everything bad I said about this seasonal. :embarrassed: I actually had some fun racing the ultra-slow, 114 HP, Life Step Van with its totally unnecessary wing! She's not only a beauty to look at, but she's also an absolute pleasure to "body roll" around some curves!

Well now everyone should have a Life Step van. Mine is lime green, with 2" oversized wire wheels, & a wing. I gave the little Z-act a shot, & I couldn't get her to the front. Hopped up 5 of the 60's & 70's Skylines, for easy credits. I'm digging around the dusty crannies of the garage for forgotten gems to run.

Edit: The S600 maxed out is a winner by 0.134 over the 'E' type, not sure how it would stand up to the Dino. The S500 got crushed by a Dino.

Ran a stock Dino at 408pp on CH tires against the Jag/Alpine field. Got the win with the Alpine on my tail throughout lap 4. Running without aids and CH tires put me at a similar cornering speed as the AI. Several turns they gained on me.

Next ran a Stratos the same way. Hadn't run this in GT6 yet. Not as deadly as I anticipated but very tricky. No wins yet heh. Not sure I can grab a podium with it.

Love the classic cars in this game. Tried about a dozen different cars and ultimately won with the Chevelle SS on comfort softs. The car is a beast on the straights.

Dino was fun in this race but an easy win. Won it too with my Nova which was overpowered for this race.

Isuzu 117 Coupe, 425pp Comfort Soft.

My tune works quite nicely on CS tyres - the snap exit oversteer I haven't managed to tune out is more progressive than with Sports. Easy (around 1 second)win over a pair of Alpine A110s, despite being PITTed by Lotus Europa on lap 3.

Bluebird 510, 400pp CS (no ABS).

A nice drive this again, though I had the gears too long and I discovered I'd got no ABS on the first corner . Combination of nursing the braking and the wrong gearing left me 3 secs behind Signor Guidi in his Stratos.

Loving Comfort Softs on thi challenge.

@Racin510s, do you know what a fairly realistic racing power outputs would be for the Datsun?
