Used Gsx-r/4 to win. It took me three tries because I kept crashing. I am going to try my BR next

NSX Type R should be the car of choice, finished 3rd behind Gallardo and Nurb LFA until I realized I was using Sport Hard tire:banghead:. Easy win on Sport Softs, might post tune in my garage tonight, not sure tho as it can be just a touch tail happy but that helps on this track (which I absolutely hate). Runs 55:2xx all day long.(or was it 54:2xx???)

Let me know if anyone wants the setup, then I will post with and link in this thread.

I had to average mid 56's to get a win. 57's could only get me into second behind the 430.
Same here. 57s just wouldn't do it in the Toyota new 86.
To the guy claiming the gsxr4 is overrated: What else will lap with it for a given pp? I haven't found anything.

This is indeed a challenging event...First I tried with my RUF BTR at 490pp. No driving aids, so tonnes of restarts due to crashing lol. I wanted a clean win, no touching the AI or anything, but that is very very hard. I only managed to get 2nd a couple of times, with some LFA up front. Then I gave up on the BTR, though I was close to win. It might be possible for me, if I shuffle the starting grid, but enough time spended in the RUF for now...

Then I took my NSX-R `02, still 490pp, with a Gallardo up front. I thought it would be an easy win, but had to struggle still. But the NSX-R did the job off course. Haven`t really been looking up the different start grids, but there must be easier ones...

This is by far the HARDEST intermediate seasonal event for me. I usually gold these types of events with ease on few trials but damn, this track is so tight. It is very hard to pass cleanly. I ran with a stock Mustang Boss 302 @ 500 PP and average 1:02-1:03 per lap and only got 6th place lol. Can someone shows a video of CLEAN passes and WIN on this one? Winning by making too many contacts with the AIs is not cool IMO.

Managing clean overtakes I found not to be a problem, getting wallopped by the AI afterwards was.
It seems you have to choose when to race and find a lead AI car you think you can catch

A pretty decent challenge for an intermediat race. Starting 40 seconds behind on a track that takes 56 seconds to go around means you have to be all out and near perfect. I used my 190E Evolution II road car, installed parts to get it to 495pp and lowered it a bit and stiffened the springs. That's it. It was my RWD car for the last Expert Seasonal as well. Really growing to like that car.

A tip if you are frustrated with the AI, leave the driving line on. Not for you, but to tell you where they will slam their brakes. If it's red, expect them to jam the brakes like a deer ran out. I had to do that on the Sierra Time Rally too. I kept rear ending guys who slowed down too much. I was trying to time the pass and they come to a stop on the apex. WHAM

Any tune info on the EVO 190?
thanks!

After trying with Mazda MX-5, VW Scirocco, TVR Griffith, Viper GTS '99 (first car to try, thought it would be an easy seasonal, LOL!) I finally managed to do it with a Mazda RX-7 with racing springs not fully customized and a closed gearing gearbox. All my laps were at 56's!! Hard and challenging seasonal at last!

Won with a mildly tuned (min weight, carbon prop, full LSD, triple clutch, short stack tranny, soft race suspension, ECU) Supra RZ. Took at least ten tries. Had a Buick Special and a Gallardo dicing at the front.
Did 0:57min laps for a 0.6s win...

Another tip is the choice of Rabbit can make 10 sec+ difference, (2 sec/lap).
The Special will block/slow faster AI behind it

Used the GSX-R but put down a better overall time with the FRS. Can't seem to get a decent line up with the FRS.

I ended up cheating (SRF and Active Steering) using the '01 NSX Type-S. Leading AI was not the Buick (which came in 4th overall, I think!) but a Nissan GT-R Black Edition. Really wasn't too bad with the "cheats" on. :)

This race was very challenging, to say the least. I used my 500PP Nurburgring-tuned Acura NSX '91 and edged out the Gallardo at the end by 331 milliseconds. :embarrassed:
Very fun seasonal, we could use more events like these where all of the A.I. are over our PP limit!

The trick seems to be to lower the weight of the car. Ran a RX 8 type S on max PP by increasing HP. Did 57s laps and came second. Lowered the weight to the max and same PP. Won by 2 seconds and 55s laps. Racing suspension hard no tune except to meet pp requirement.

anyone struggling with this one should grab the GT Maseratti. The car will win most races in 450pp mode, but I couldn't quite get the Ferrari rabbit with it. Kept losing by .2-.3 second. Once I beefed it up to 500, miraculously, the rabbit was doing laps in the 54-55 sec range. Took a near perfect race with all 54 sec laps to win. Any other rabbit is a breeze.

I used the NSX Type-R (second gen), quick tune to hit 500PP (I think just weight reduction).

You need 56-57s laps to win. The AI isn't too bad, they hold their line and you can overtake comfortably. I guess I had to lift once per lap for the AI on the way to winning it.

P.S. The T500RS with torque set to 3 was really fun hitting the curbs... It brings London alive :)

For anyone who is struggling to get this or needing to use aids. The Ferrari 458 tune below works a charm with ABS and TCS 1 only.

I beat it with my drift-tuned Autobacs Garaiya. Even at 9/10ths of my ability, I nudged into 1st place on the final straight.

They're really making these rabbits harder to catch huh?

used impreza wrx sti spec c '09, some tuning to get it to 500pp. F430 scuderia on pole, lfa nurburgring package on 2nd and buick in 3rd. got 2nd on first attempt by 1,9sec (took me two laps to get familiar with track), won by less then a second on 2nd try (overtook the scuderia in second to last corner and push to finish). Not easy seasonal, but not that hard either. Also I used DS3, didn't even bother to pull up my trusty G25 Wheel :).

Please do Mr. B.
If its like the MG... 👍

Managed to win using the Suzuki GSX Concept. used the setup it was already in @450pp, hards. Consistent 55s will catch the leader with 4 turns to go, but bugger me it took a while to get consistency. That car is easy to unsettle.

Got 4th with a Nurb package Impreza, up against a 430 Scuderia saw the final 3 as I came round last corner - just not fast enough...retried with Mitsu Evo again 4th so I pulled out the NSX LM roadgoing beast! Second first attempt with the 430 Scuderia again with a less consistent rabbit I might pimp it to first place without bumps and overzealous rubbing on early laps which lost me a good 5-10 secs in all.

The key is to "get on it like a car bonnet" and try to build on your lap time if and where possible...

This one was a fun challenge. Won first time with the GSX/R. Also won it with the KTM X-Bow, which is a blast to drive around London. For a little more challenge, I tried (and eventually won) with my Dodge Neon SRT-4... even beat it with the Scuderia on pole position. Best ever lap in the SRT-4 was 54.8, but typically ran mid 55's or low 56's on most laps.

So it is possible to win it with a FWD torque monster.

Nice one, PD! 👍

The Scooby S206 NBR did the job nicely for me on the first try 58.xxx first lap and 55's the rest, with the LFA Nurb as leader of the pack. Good fun keeping it clean. :D

Did not find this one easy at all for an Intermediate Level race.

Ended up using an M3 Coupe '07* and it took some aggressive driving to get ahead of the Ferrari (at the very last corner).

*SRF off, of course.
