Found in Loosdrecht, that's about 10 minutes away from where I am, a Volvo P1800 converted to convertible, 1 of only 29 made. It now has its new home at the local Volvo dealer.

Very cool but damn is it in need of some BIG tlc.

Seeing that there are only 29, I'm pretty sure it will receive the tlc.

If I find the time, I'll try and see if I can take some pictures for myself, under the disguise of being a potential customer. :D

This group of 36 Corvettes were a part of a VH1 giveaway back in 1988. Included in the collection was a Corvette from every model year ranging from 1953-1989. Well over a million people called in to enter, with the winner being a carpenter from Long Island. However, a psychedelic designer by the name of Peter Max shelled out $250,000 in cash to use them in some grand art project, which never came to fruition, leaving only a few test strips behind. A couple of years ago, they were purchased and some are currently in the process of being restored after sitting for over 25 years in a parking garage.

Edit: Here's an original promo video for the contest.

What year is that yellow one in the middle picture with its rear facing out?

Correct me but as far as i know, in Emirates, Registering RHD Cars is not allowed unless ether it's 30 years and older (which then could have special "classic cars" registration which's i believe is a bit more restricted but it depends on the car) or probably having some inside connection or relatives with that said thing/job (it's called "wasta" and yep it's a thing that sadly exists). Anyways those who imported RHD Cars usually send them to some mechanics where they could convert them from RHD into LHD so they could register them.

As you can see in the video, some of them have been converted already while others yet to do. And yes while it's not exactly abandoned cars, some of them are probably sitting there collecting dust.
