Castle is a crime drama that follows a famous author, Richard Castle, and NYPD detective, Kate Beckett, as they solve cases on behalf of the 12th precinct after a serial killer commits murders based off his books. After solving their first case the mayor gives Castle permission to tag along with Beckett and her team to solve cases together for research for his novels.

Episode 1: Flowers For Your Grave - A serial killer imitates the killings in Richard Castle's books and this prompts Castle to work with NYPD Detective Kate Beckett in order to find the killer.

Episode 2: Nanny McDead - Castle joins Beckett's team of Detectives and assists when a nanny is found in a spin dryer

Episode 3: Hedge Fund Homeboys - A group of rich kids play Russian Roulette with an empty gun in the park but this time the gun is loaded and kills one of them.

Episode 4: Hell Hath No Fury - Two guys have a rug that they believe was a find in a neighbourhood dumpster but when a councilman's body rolls out of the rug, Castle & Beckett must figure out if this was a botched robbery or if it has something to do with local politics.

Episode 5: A Chill Goes Through Her Veins - A woman who was reported missing 25 years ago is found frozen at a construction site. Castle & Beckett must re-open the cold case as a murder investigation.

Episode 6: Always Buy Retail - A ritualistic killer is on the loose and Castle's ex-wife, Meredith, is in town.

Episode 7: Home Is Where The Heart Stops - A number of jewellery store robberies prompts Castle to ask Beckett out on a date at a ball to see if the thief is casing out his victims at charity events, balls and parties. Castle waits on the public response of his latest book.

Episode 8: Ghosts - A woman is found dead in a tub of motor oil and is initially identified as a missing housewife but it is later revealed that her identity had been stolen by a deceased child and has been a fugitive for over 20 years on a terrorism charge.

Episode 9: Little Girl Lost - A 2 year old girl is abducted and Beckett reunites with her ex-boyfriend, FBI Agent Will Sorensen.

Episode 10: A Death In The Family - A plastic surgeon is found dead with his fingernails ripped off and Castle investigates Beckett's mother's murder despite her protests.

Episode 1: Deep in Death - A case involving an insurance agent puts Castle & Beckett back together.

Episode 2: The Double Down - Two murder victims are found and this prompts Castle & Beckett to bet against Ryan & Esposito to see who solves the case first.

Episode 3: Inventing The Girl - Castle and Beckett get an inside look at the world of the New York fashion industry when they investigate the brutal murder of a young model during Fashion Week.

Episode 4: Fool Me Once... - An arctic explorer is killed on an expedition but the investigation takes Castle & Beckett from an apartment on Park Avenue to the CIA.

Episode 5: When the Bough Breaks - An illegal Czech immigrant is found in a sewer two days after her death. Castle gets an offer to write 3 British spy novels.

Episode 6: Vampire Weekend - A case near Halloween has Castle & Beckett investigating the death of a man, wearing fangs, in a graveyard.

Episode 7: Famous Last Words - A singer is found dead, hanging off a fire escape, and it's Alexis who solves the case.

Episode 8: Kill the Messenger - A bike messenger gets hit by a car and his carrier bag stolen. The bag contained evidence pertaining to an old case that Montgomery worked on.

Fun fact* I went to high school with her, Stana ( a year older). And am friends with her younger brother.

I havent started watching this series, not until I catch up and prefer to wait until series are finished, then I can fly through them.

You mean Stana Katic, who is Beckett on the show? Cool fact. By this series, do you mean Season 5 or 6, or the show entirely?

I mean the series as a whole. The only current running series I watch is GoT..all other shows I watch have ended, which keeps my sanity as I hate waiting til the next week.

Yeah its cool to see someone you know become successful in what they love doing.

Wow that's awesome for you to know her.

What are your guys' take on it?
That you should stop what you are doing right now and watch everything all at once.

If you can't, watch the following episodes in this order:

S1 - "Flowers for Your Grave", "A Death in the Family"
S2 - "Sucker Punch"
S3 - "Knockdown", "Knockout"
S4 - "Rise", "Dial M for Mayor", "Always"
S5 - "After the Storm", "Recoil"
S6 - "In the Belly of the Beast", "Veritas"

These are the episodes that directly deal with the series' mythology, and together they form a nice conspiracy thriller (even if the resolution is very convenient). If you have seen all of Season 5, then you probably know exactly what is happening, but "Knockdown" and "Knockout" form two of the best hours of television that you will see.

Otherwise, get your hands on "3XK", "Kick the Ballistics", "Probable Cause" and "Disciple" for the other multi-season story arc, the Triple Killer.

Ah, 3XK and The Senator. Only seen the Season 5 ones. I'm hoping to watch Seasons 1-3. Then try and get my hands on Season 4 and then 6. Dial M for Mayor is on tonight at 9, so looking forward to it! My favourite episodes are probably Secret's Safe With Me. I just loved the part when Castle said: THE BUTLER DID IT! Great episode altogether. I also loved Probable Cause, really showed how much everyone really trusted Castle.

Well, 3XK is your standard omnipotent serial killer, but his intense hatred of the 12th Precinct makes him interesting.

The show works because it feels like something actually happens in each episode. Compare that to later episodes of a show like "NCIS", where they just stand around talking about what they have done and dumping exposition for the audiences that missed the start of the episode.

And if you're a fan of "Castle", check out "Firefly" and Serenity, which also starred Fillion, if you haven't done so already.

That's why I love Castle. Every case has something going on, and the fact that they are a bit unusual makes it even better. I've sorta lost interest in NCIS now. Not watching CSI as much either

Interesting move by the producers:
3XK is dead.

With the resolution of the Bracken storyline, 3XK was the only long-term story arc in play. I suppose they had to move it along, since Tyson was a sterotypical omnipotent serial killer, but all they have sustaining them now is the mystery of Castle's disappearance, and they don't seem to be going anywhere with it. I guess we'll learn more in the season finale.

@prisonermonkeys Don't want to read it as I have not gotten to Season 7 yet. All I know is that in the episode Beckett is missing and Castle has to find her. I know nothing more than what has been said on the Google+ Castle thing.

They tend to briefly touch on a new ongoing plotline before closing the current. I am sure there will be something new that pops up two or three times a season.

Don't be surprised if at the end of the season finale someone shows up who knows Castle only from when he was gone, tries to kill Castle (and almost does), or kidnaps Castle to finish whatever it was that he was doing.

The way they handled it at the beginning of this season was...odd. It is almost as if they had a story planned out, but some important aspect fell through during production. Maybe an actor who was important in it couldn't manage the schedule, but could bring it around for next season, or a recurring character is needed, but only shows up very occasionally. One thing I do know is that the way Castle was quickly able to just push the whole thing aside was either rushed or he was purposely trying to get Beckett to leave it alone because he remembers more than he lets on.

The entirety of S7 has been a waste of time so far... Waaaay too much woo.

I'm tired of her constantly having a reason to question their relationship and how committed he is.
I don't see that as the natural conclusion for the storyline.

I'm guessing that it might have something to do with his father - that Jackson left the CIA a long time ago, and that some of Beckett's actions might be questioned if her involvement ever came to light. It would compromise the case against Bracken at the very least.

Last I checked it is spelled Wu and he is on Grimm.

I don't see it as the conclusion. It always works out, but the writers always have her doubt his honesty and commitment.

I am far behind on the show as I only have 5 USA to watch it on and they are on Season 4. Just saw the fairy tail killer one and it was awesome.

I just saw last night that CASTLE Season 1-6 is now on NOW TV! Geuss what I'll be spending my Easter doing!

Just finished watching Castle Seasons 1 through to 6.

So, I started last Thursday with the very first episodes and it was starting good and I loved how they introduced and built up the characters for the first 3 seasons especially, including how they included Montgomery and the Bracken Conspiracy. I watched all of seasons 1 and 2, most of 3, some of 4 (Had seen most of it) none of 5 (Seen all of it) and all of 6, ending with "For Better Or Worse". I think the best episode out of all of them is either Valkyrie/Dreamworld, Disciple or Room 147. I think the worst episode is "Like Father Like Daughter".

For me they can do no wrong on Castle. I've seen every episode up to date. I came to the series late on.

I'm not sure how this hasn't been picked up by a more mainstream Terrestrial TV channel in the UK.

I started with S5 and just watched S1-S6 for the last few days. I love the way they end the seasons so that it works whether or not Castle gets a new season or not, especially how they ended Season 6.

Season 7 is unwatchably bad. I got about halfway through before I lost count of the nuked fridges - absolutely ludicrous rubbish.

Really? Unwatchably bad? Didn't think Castle could be that bad.
