Thanks, I'll fix it.:)

Does anyone know what this is:

1964 Ginetta G4

Is Ginetta the manufacturer, or is it an Alfa Romeo or something?

And this one too:

2001 Toyota Will VS (Translation Uncertain) ?

Ginetta is a small British sportscar manufacturer, kind of like TVR before they started making their own engines. Here's a page about the G4:
http://www.oracle-cars.be/products/Ginetta_G4.htm

And yes, Toyota Will VS is correct.

Thanks, I just Googled it and found that out. I thought I heard the name before but didn't know anything about Ginetta's. looks like a cool car to have in GT4:tup:

Well, if that scanned list is true (and I still have my doubts, anyway), there's a lot of pretty interesting stuff in there.

The only thing on that list that looks odd is this entry:
1963 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Race Car

You've got to ignore CobraGT, is nothing but a everything else but GT haters. Now i got the chance to have some hands on with the new GT4 Japanese demo.

The Graphics engine has been upgrade compare to GT3 but nothing breathtaking. I've run a few lap on Trial Mountain and even though it look a bit better, there is no AA and the jaggies is hard for the eyes. George V and Nur are much betterr visualy than Trial mountain and do more justice to the game. It's still has the same artistic look than GT3. Overall I would say there is some polishing that i've been done. Hopefully it's a old build and PD will have time to clean it up more.

The physics engine is much better then GT3. I've tried with all assit off with a Skyline GT-R on Nur. Speed before turning in the apex is much more important and i have to say it's quite good. The grass is less forgiving but still let you get out of it without a ny real consequence beside a good loss of speed. (it's hard to spin out). I'm going to experiment by doing more laps but I can already tell you that the GT4 demo has a GT3 feel but with more physics. I would of love to have the grass or sand affecting more the car and like the precedent installement, getting away with cutting corner could be done easily.

I also got the chance to try Photo-Mode. You have the option to choose a background and a car to start with. Then you have the option to rotate , zoom and move the camera the way you want it. When you are please and ready, you press the shoot button and a RENDER picture comes on the screen and have the option to print.

I only have done a few laps so far and need more racing before making more in depth comments.

Very well done SHIRAKAWA Akira, thumbs up! 👍 👍 👍

I put the list into Excel and sorted the cars alphabetically by manufacturer (see attachment).

EXCELLENT job Shirakawa Akira, very nice! It has the Silvia S15 Varietta!!!

Here's a Notepad file which I pasted together with some corrected spellings and such, if anyone wants it.

Edit: I went through it again there was alot of stuff I missed:dopey: Still some things I wasn't sure of though.

No Mazdaspeed Miata yet:tdown:

Edit: I'll correct this as mistakes are discovered.

Holy crap, the Audi R8 is going to be in this game. I hope they got the sound and physics right for this car. It pretty much dominated Le Mans and the ALMS series for three years in a row after the car was first released.

For those who got the "demo"

do u just burn the image on DVD?
thanks

Artz

Yes..you just have to burn the .iso file

For my part, on Mac you burn with toast the .iso in Image File format
On pc, it's the same thing "Burn image file" and you choose the .iso file :)

That's it :)

I'm on Mac too, and don't have Toast. Can I just burn the iso to a disc with the built-in software, or do I need another program?

I was really hoping for some of the classic British roadsters:

MGA, MGB, MG-TD, Triumph TR6, Triumph TR3, Sunbeam Tiger, Austin Healeys, etc. At least they put in the Spitfire, but just about any one of the above would have been preferable IMO. They may still put some in though, I don't see how they could ignore a whole genre of cars like that. Those are the cars that got me interested in sports cars when I was very young:)

With Fiat being in they should have added the 124 Spider on the Italian side. That was the 1st car I bought when I graduated from high school, it was slow but a blast to drive around.👍

Thank you SHIRAKAWA Akira for your huge effort... but damn, I am still pretty disappointed that no Holden's or HSV's have appeared on the list so far...

Mr P510
Ok...I'm putting out a challenge....Fastest time around MotorsportsLand in Jay Lenos Tank Car. :D

I may try to race you with the tricyle and win ... :dopey:
btw... thanks for the car list ... it makes my eyes bleed ... SLR!!!
I wanna drift it like Neil in fifth gear

And more are coming but at lower quality. Only 20 mb left so. :/

VIDEO 4

Quick look at the menu and cars/colors. No sound and lower quality.

Right Click - Save as

From the looks of this video that Egghead posted earlier in the thread it looks like you now can switch units from meters to miles and back in the options menu. Can someone with the demo please verify this.

Yes, I can verify that you are able to change from Miles to KM/h. Interestingly enough, the 1st time that I booted up the demo all of the options were in English. On the second attempt though they were in Chinese/Japenese though!

Thanks for the confirmation, it's nice to hear that GT finally has a feature that should have been there from the start.

Hello all, thought I’d let Planet know that I managed to persuade Play-Asia to import the GT4 demo/booklet from Japan. Now that I have secured a copy I am pleased to announce that it is on sale in limited numbers.

My thanks go out to Solid Lifters for alerting us to the demo/mag in the first place.

Damn, I wish I could play it on my PAL PS2. I'm debating whether I should get it mainly for the booklet instead of the demo.
