Trial Mountain, as seen in GT3 and probably the first two game as well, had tons of lines on the road. Some were just lines that paralleled the edge of the track but most didn't really serve any purpose. But that track sure looks odd without them. I'm also bummed that the tunnels don't have as much texture or individuality.

I see what you mean about the lines.. the old track had lane dividers, and some extra yellow lines here and there in a couple of the corners. No big loss, I think. I mean, what race track has lane dividers? The track itself is unchanged, as far as I can see, except for the improved "look" of the surroundings.

Dude, I'd bet serious amounts of money that Trial Mountain is significantly wider. And the more I watch those videos the more upset I am about the change. Every single corner on that track is now different and far worse off for it. In all honesty, if the full version of the game isn't different from this demo, I'll be forced to bust out GT3 when I want to have some fun on TM because this thing sucks.

And as a random little comment, you know that series of corners after the long back straight and the left-hander at the end? The ones that go right, left, right. Notice the line that the cars take when they exit that last corner. In the past you really had to modulate the throttle to carry maximum speed and that usually involved putting a tire or two up on that outside rumble strip. But see how far they are from doing that? It's as if the AI is still following the same old path from GT3. And I can see how that would give the computer more room to pass each other, but if that's what PD meant when they said "improved AI" then I'll be even more pissed. Hopefully, I'm completely wrong.
 
It looks like some parts may be wider, but other parts look about the same (the back straight, for example). I think some of it just looks wider, because of the extra space now visible around the track.. with the graphical enhancements, they were able to open it up more, which might make for a bigger "feeling" to the track.

But, that's your opinion, and you're entitled to it. If you don't like the new version, that's your perogative. I like it just fine from what I've seen.

I would only advise that you hold off final judgement until you actually drive it.. you might find that you like this "new" Trial Mountain.
 
Damn arse this is still downloading now at 8:40am and I started it off last night. Hopefully the one I started off yesterday afternoon is done, heh i'm probably leaching off that one now.
 
I'm only half-lucky.. hehe. I've got the demo, I just can't do anything with it.. no DVD burner, and no modchip or swap-disc. I just hope somebody somewhere puts this thing out here in the U.S. sometime soon. I mean, if the thing has English language already, it should be a simple matter to make the Region change.

It is Illegal to host it. It isn't illegal to host the torrent etc. Just look 3 pages back or so. I made a link to to the file.
 
It is illegal to download it, upload it, bit torrents is NOT a safe haven. It is copy right infringement whatever the value of the demo might be,

From what I can hear the car sounds are okay. They basically sound the same as they did in GT3. Also there is a lot of distortion and it makes the FC and MR2 freakin loud but thanks guys for recording. :) 👍

what is the preferred mod chip or swap disc everyone is using? i am about to pick one up, & wondered if they perform any differently than another. list the advantages/disadvantages, other than having to eject & insert the discs.

i would like to run the demo form my HDD, but i'm not sure how that would work with the swap disc method.

I remember one time someone said something about taking the information fed to the printer and redirecting it to a computer so it could be spooled into a bitmap image or something...I'd like to know how to do this so I can get some nice desktops =)

Also, does the demo photomode include photo-drive?
