What level is your F-15E? ...

It's only Lv 2. My highest planes are Lv 5 F-16, Mirage, and Zipang and Lv 4 A-10 and F-18. I couldn't decide what to use my Nonstandard Upgrade on, and I felt funds were better suited to keeping me moving on the tree. I never intended to get super involved in the game, it was just a fun flight combat thing to add some variety in my gaming options.

Use it on the plane you find yourself using the most.

In other news, @Bobert power and I teamed up again and did some serious work again, and managed to get Moby Dick II. Hopefully we can get Moby Dick III one day...

And I unlocked LASM level 2 and suffice to say it is a big step up.

Got to the Su-35 with a prepared 28 aircraft research papers! With some to spare. Unfortunately I fell short in funds due to the two parts prior to getting to it costing a fortune.

I'm thinking about the F15E as well. It looks like the natural replacement for my Mirage 2000-5.

The trouble is I'm looking to get the A10A, F/A18 and the F2 as well. That MIG-29 I've been looking at isn't going to buy itself either.

New PB this morning, 39,451 in the Alps with my level 4 Mirage. Not to shabby for a 1480 grade. I'm gradually getting better at this but the fuel situation means it really is gradual. :ouch:

I really recommend the A-10 Thunderbolt. Not only it looks nice, it can destroy the SP and TGT targets on the ground much easier. I'm using it to complete the Alps Air Corridor Special Challenge.

Speaking of special weapons upgrades, the stats say level 2 is almost a negligible change, how much better is a level 2 weapon? I'm thinking of doing the HCAA missiles for my F-35 but at $55k it had better be worth it. I got my F-35 to Lv.4 tonight, it's really starting to do some damage, even the HCAA missiles are becoming useful at level 4.

Like I said earlier, stats tell lies. The LASM level 2 are a step above the level 1 in every area, even though the stats bar may say otherwise.

I got three sorties done this morning started out with a 22K then a 31K and finally 41,741 new PB. My Mirage now at level 5.

I wonder how busy Co-Op will be when PvP starts up. I'm hoping it doesn't become deserted.

I might do it for the HCAA missiles yet, wait and see if I need the cash for other stuff.

I just got enough research for the F-15E. Oh my God the procurement cost is too dear!

How much?

OMG!!
An "Ace Combat Infinity" dedicated thread on GT Planet. I think I'm gonna loiter around here from time to time... :D

Watch you stall speed! :sly:

Namco. Why oh why do you get me addicted to this game and then give it two days maintenance. :ouch:

It's on maintenance period? Damn. And here I was hoping to grind the alps mission in hopes of getting the production Morgan drop..

Well, I haven't played an Ace Combat game in an eternity, but since I've been thinking about buying this for a while and its free at the moment, I'm getting it. I'm going to have to break off the rust from not flying in a long time, but I hope to enjoy this game as much as I enjoyed Ace Combat: Shattered Skies.

If you enjoyed AC:4 (which I'm pretty sure everyone has), then you'll feel right at home with AC:I. Plenty of nostalgia to go around.

Here's another question for you guys: What control setting do you guys use most. Standard or Expert? It's a question simply of your personal preference.
I use Standard almost all the time but I'm thinking about using Expert for PvP. May be a suicide run but I'm hoping I'll have more fun with some classic dogfight-style fighting.

I use standard flight controls. Every once in awhile I go into Test Flight to train using Expert controls. Waiting until I'm proficient with it to actually use it in combat.

I personnally use "Expert" control mode. I found the "Standard" mode restricts maneuverability.

Well, I hope the maintenance ends soon, I'd like to test my F-16 in PvP mode...

I'm currently doing an update just under 1GB in size, does that mean the maintenance is over? (Guess I'll find out in an hour or so).
I use expert controls btw, standard controls on a flight game doesn't feel right to me.

I use expert. It feels like you have more freedom to maneuver anywhere in the skies of AC: I.

:dopey: Could the maintenance be already complete?
