I was thinking about checking that one out as well, but I have the Su-35 on hold.

I kind of wonder how they're incorporating these jets into the tree or if they're all considered "special"?

The Gripen and Su47 will be in the tree. The Su47 will be a multirole incorperated into the F35 tree. I don't exactly know where the Gripen will be.

Don't get discouraged by the yahoos in upper tier aircraft. Just keep flying and earning enough credits to buy better stuff.

For in missions: Never loiter around one area for too long, never stick to one target (unless it's a highly prized red/SP target), and stick with the team. Try not to take kills away from your team, but try to take kills away from the rival team.

I also suggest using expert controls because you get way more maneuverability and precision in your flight. It's like playing Gran Turismo with ASM on. What's the fun in that?
 
I've just read on the ACI fb page that now they charge you credits for each sortie in addition to fuel.
And that the F-16 and Mirage challenges that used to give extra fuel have been removed...

Can someone confirm?

Well, as many people writing on the fb page are not able to correctly align 3 words without a mistake (:banghead:), I guess they just "discovered" that flying the Solo Mode missions requires credits and fuel if you haven't purchased the unlock ticket...
Well, in fact I just hope this is the right explanation... :D

Anyway, my main concern is about the F-16 and Mirage challenges which gave extra fuel. These were playable every day, which meant 2 extra sorties and credits, but I saw they were due to expire on July 17th.
So, I'd like to know if these challenges have been extended or replaced. If anywone could check this out, I'm at work now and will not log in till tonite...

Actually, it really seems that they removed the F-16 and Mirage "fuel giving" challenges. This will make my daily sortie rate fall from 5-6 to 3-4... :irked:

In other words nothing at all has changed for people who haven't bought the unlimited Campaign ticket that I bought.

With the F16 - and my personal favourite Mirage 2000-5 missions going?, hopefully they will choose two new planes to do the same/similar task for fuel otherwise I only play 6 times a day instead of 8 times a day as now.

Pilots,

In compensation to the maintenance being extended from the timing we originally have been announcing, we have sent everyone 1 Stocked Fuel.

Also, there was an issue right after the maintenance that the level of the special weapon is decreased for some users (special weapons with levels higher than level 4 became level 2 after the update maintenance), this issue has been revised. We will be compensating the amount of in-game credits needed to make the special weapons back to the original level it was before the update to compensate for this issue.

We apologize to all customers that have been impacted by this issue.

Sad for the F-16 and Mirage challenges. These 2 fuel units, added to the 3 supplied ones, allowed me to complete a few challenges every day and get some stocked fuel units I used to spend at will during weekends...
Furthermore, these challenges kept me flying the F-16 and Mirage 2000 and now they are Level 8 and Level 6, respectively. Hope this will help for the PvP tournament. I will give it a go tonight.

Hell, fuel is going to become even more restricting now... :(
 
Just confirming for everyone, yes you have to pay in game credits per sortie now. Cost depends on your plane (the better it is the higher up the tree it is the more you have to pay).

Well, that's just crappy. I stopped already because I keep having trouble with finding rooms (had to give up trying to get bonuses because of it) and now I have to pay per sortie? Guess I'm not playing this anymore then.
 
Paying to sortie is a bid stupid, but it's not like it's excessive. I don't have top tier planes, my furthest on the tree is the F-15E, and everything is under 1000 credits. You still come out ahead after a mission. What irks me is the removal of challenges that rewarded fuel. They're turning it into a pay2playanysignificantbit game. I could get in 4 or 5 flights at one go which felt like a nice amount to play, then use some stocked if I wanted to play a bit longer. Now with only 3 fuel you get maybe 25-30 minutes in game if you want to save your stocked fuel. It just feels like a waste of time.

The challenges weren't removed, they werr limited challenges to begin with. Even with the supplied fuel challenges gone you can still easily do every challenge, minus 10 sorties, EASILY and guess what? They reward stocked fuel which you should be saving up for tournaments. The game simply doesn't reward you for wasting fuel. Aside from that stocked fuel also gives a 1.25 bonus to to developing planes, x3 during forced sorties, so it stands to reason your not getting it too easily outside of respawnable challenges.




All that being said i've saved up 48 fuel from challenges and would probably have 60+ if I wasn't careless sometimes.
