Round 7-Spa Francorchamps starts in
img.php

This is the first season of the Australasian Championship Series for AUSTRALIAN & NEW ZEALAND PLAYERS ONLY, the room will open at 8:00 pm and qualification will be from 8:10pm-8:30pm melbourne time with a race start at 8:35pm melbourne time. The Endurance round will be held earlier, the time will be set closer to the event. The Regulations will be as follows.

I will add participants on psn once I'm sure they're competing.

CARS

GT by Citroen Race Car, 502hp 1200kg, NO TURBO

CHAMPIONSHIP RULES

MINIMUM two wheels full on the track AT ALL TIMES, that means no cutting concrete at deep forest.
Clean Racing at all times, if you accidentally bump someone off, wait for them to pass you then resume racing.
MINIMUM of 2 pit stops, unless indicated otherwise for a specific round.
Any racing tyres, unless indicated otherwise for a specific round.
NO MIXING TYRE COMPOUNDS

Pit lane open on lap 5. (If you need to pit before hand due to damage, this is NOT classed as a used set of tyres). Pit lane closes with 5 laps remaining. (Get your last stop done before pit lane closes, if you need to enter pit lane due to damage in the last 5 laps, you must stay on the compound tyre you entered pit in)

TYRE REGULATIONS

The tyre limit is now open. Racing Hard, Mediums & Softs are available for use during a 'racing weekend'. A racing weekend consists of Qualifying and Racing. However there are limits to how you use these tyres. Everyone has an limited set of Soft/Medium/Hard racing tyres
(NO MIXING SETS, i.e Softs on front and hards on rear).

At the start of the racing weekend you will need to decide which tyre you qualify on.
Once you have chosen your qualifying tyre you MUST stick to that tyre.
You CANNOT change to a different tyre compund during that qualifying session.
You will also start the race on your qualifying tyre. The qualifying tyre and race start tyre count as 2 sets.
The tyre limits for each compound are;

Racing Softs = 2 Sets
Racing Mediums = 3 Sets
Racing Hards = 4 Sets

YOU MUST DO A MINIMUM OF 5 LAPS ON EACH SET OF TYRES

Your qualifying and race start tyre count as 2 used sets

Here is an example:
Driver A qualifies and starts on racing softs
Driver A now has 0xRS, 3xRM & 4xRH available in the race

Driver B qualifies and starts on racing mediums
Driver B now has 2xRS, 1xRM & 4xRH available in the race

In the event a driver receives damage during set changes i have allowed a buffer to combat this. If you receive damage on lap 1-3 of your new set of tyres then it will not count as a used set if you need to pit to fix damage. You may stay on that same compound. If you receive damage from lap 4 onwards and pit to fix the damage then that tyre will count as a used set.

YOU MUST USE AT LEAST ONE SET OF EACH COMPOUND IN THE RACE.

YOU MUST DO A MINIMUM OF 5 LAPS ON EACH SET OF TYRES.

Now here is the important part. ALL TYRE GRADES MUST BE USED DURING A RACING WEEKEND.

YOU MUST DO A MINIMUM OF 5 LAPS ON EACH SET OF TYRES

Stewards will make a note of each drivers tyres and penalties will be handed down if you fail to comply.
Penalties can vary from warnings, point deductions and to disqualification.

QUALIFICATION

Qualification will be a 20 minute session with the fastest lap getting pole. Remember, minimum two wheels on track.

CHAMPIONSHIP POINT SYSTEM

Teams & Drivers Championship points system

1st = 22 points
2nd = 18 points
3rd = 15 points
4th = 13 points
5th = 11 points
6th = 10 points
7th = 9 points
8th = 8 points
9th = 7 points
10th = 6 points
11th = 5 points

Pole Position: 2 points
Fastest Lap: 1 point

With 'Fastest Lap' being 'Championship Points', If you believe you made the fastest lap, state the lap you did it on at the end of the race before leaving the room. (This way Myself or Cactass can easily view this lap to check if it is legal to be awarded the points. REMEMBER, we all know what a 'Legal' lap is... 2 tyres inside the white line!)

ROOM SETTINGS

Damage on FULL
WEAK slipstream
Grip reduction on FULL
Tyre wear/Fuel depletion ON
Any Racing tyres (remember there's at least 1 compulsory pitstop, so you will need a tyre change no matter what)
NO MIXING TYRE COMPOUNDS, you must have the same tyres on your car front & back

STEWARDS

Me (mij2003)
Cactass

Stewards will be racing in the series, not just watching the races.

Hmmmm, I'm keen as... but Saturday could be a problem for me.

Save me a spot. I guess it is a good way to get the old 458 back out of the garage.

50% in, and if I can get approval, I'll be happy to help wherever possible... Running the room... Marshal... Whatever gents.

Sounds good, day and time shouldn't be a problem. Put me down for the Lamborghini LP670-4 SuperVeloce 👍.

Thanks for the response jtv90069, i've put your name down and will add you next time i'm on my playstation.

Thx boycey, I've put your name down as a racer and a steward, if you can't make a race i will just name a substitute steward and invite a wildcard entry for the race. P.S. tell Mandy i said pretty please let boycey play :lol:

Huge thanks cactass for making that table, i was just going to write the points on a piece of paper or word :lol:

Hey Guys,

These organised race series are proving to be awesome. Clean and competitive racing is what GT5 is all about. So I'd like to put my name down please. Ford GT would be the car for me.

While the day isn't an issue for me, the start time could prove very difficult for me to commit. Any chance of pushing the start time an hour later!?

If that's asking to much then a 30 mins later shift I could possibly commit 50%. The other option is that I could skip qualifying and just start from the back of the grid.

Cheers,
Asuka

IMPORTANT CHANGES TO OP

Thanks for the response asuka, i'll put your name down on the list and i'll add you on psn. I've pushed the start time back half an hour.

C'mon velly, you know you want to ;)

If anyone has any friends who may be interested in the series, tell them to sign up and come to the test day on saturday the 22nd. The more the merrier, hopefully we will have a full field by then.

I would love to but really can't lol. Will keep in eye on it tho...may turn up for a race at some point.

I'm keen, will have to go the SLS I think, after i buy one haha. But count me in.

Thanks for the response DC, i've put you on the list.

Good to hear your definitely in boycey and thanks for sending out invites.

Im thinking about changing the regs to 600pp instead of the current rules, post a reply saying whether your with or against this idea.

I think 600pp will keep it all simple...

Ideas: Full Damage, 2 points for pole position, 1 point for the fastest lap of the race.

Your call Mij.

IMPORTANT CHANGES TO OP

All those changes sound perfect boycey, i've put them all in.

IMPORTANT CHANGES TO OP

Not sure about the points structure with the bonuses. Pole + Fastest Lap + 3rd = 13 points. 1st = 12 points.
Maybe use F1 points + bonus.

Point system copied from ORS Season 7

1st = 25 points
2nd = 20 points
3rd = 16 points
4th = 13 points
5th = 11 points
6th = 10 points
7th = 9 points
8th = 8 points
9th = 7 points
10th = 6 points
11th = 5 points
12th = 4 point
13th = 3 points
14th = 2 points
15th = 1 point
16th = 0 point

Qualifying on Pole = 3 points
Fastest lap during race = 1 point

Im thinking either the F1 points system or V8 supercars (Ill have to up the pole & fast lap bonus though)

V8 Supercars Point System (3 race format(Were not running 3 races per round, duh :P)

1st: 100 points
2nd: 92 points
3rd: 86 points
4th: 80 points
5th: 74 points
6th: 68 points
7th: 64 points
8th: 60 points
9th: 56 points
10th: 52 points
11th: 48 points
12th: 46 points

& maybe 4 points for pole and 2 for the fastest lap?

👍👍 This point system looks good ;).

Guys I would like to join in the SLS, but as a reserve, I'm waiting to have my internet connected as I've just moved house, which could take up to another 25 days tops,

No worries TDZ, I'll put you down as a reserve in an SLS and if you want to be in full time once your internet gets connected your welcome to. If there's twelve full time drivers already by then don't worry about it, I'll work something out :)

Also, is everyone keen on holding Round 1 on the 29th of September and running the series on a weekly basis?

Cheers mate, hopefully it won't take the maximum time, but telstra really took my goat on this one, but thanks heaps, its much appreciated,

Bahahahaha, I take it that you never dealt with telstra in a large capacity lol,

I was surprised to a series like this, I've been specing cars to do something similar to this series,

Unfortunately I have dealt with telstra and their evil ways lol.

I've been meaning to make a championship for a while and this idea just popped into my head whilst I was tuning a Ford GT no stripe at grand valley, I'm really looking forward to it. I think the racing will be close but we'll all have to race hard to beat boycey in his 458. The Enduro got chucked in towards the end of the season to spice up the title fight a bit and if the points are close, Cote d' Azur will be an epic Season Finale.

THE TEST DAY ON THE 22ND WILL BE HELD AT GRAND VALLEY EAST IN MY PRIVATE LOBBY, IT WILL RUN FROM 8PM TO BETWEEN 9 & 10PM. EVERYONE MUST USE THE CARS THE ARE RACING IN THE SERIES. IF ANY ONE WANTS TO ORGANISE TEAMS WITH OTHER PEOPLE USING THE SAME CAR, DO SO AT THE TEST DAY. IF YOU MAKE TEAMS YOU MUST RUN THE SAME COLOUR CARS/WHEELS WITHIN YOUR TEAM. CAR COLOURS CANNOT BE CHANGED AFTER ROUND 1 OF THE SERIES.

I've got about 5 series spec'd and ready to go once my internet is sorted, it also seems you've almost stolen my idea of having an enduro at trial mountain, lol, if your trying for a bathurst idea use the track backwards, its like bathurst after the end of the world lol,

You go into hell corner which is the chicane, climb the mountain, go into repco bend then into the bp cutting, through reid park into mcphillany, the long hairpin, and over skyline, tunnels new lol, then through the esses, then into forest elbow,then up into the tunnel and down conrod bend, through the chase and back on to the front stretch, its really just missing the dipper, which the bathurst council cut out almost and murrays corner, but that's all fantasy lol,

Also I didn't see anything about mandatory GT aero, do we need to have it?
