AI's braking is ridiculous.

If an AI tried that on me.. I swear, hed be backwards in the wall, somewhere in last place by the next turn Id hit him so hard.

Are the AI opponents still basically immovable? I don't think it's possible to PIT maneuver them on any previous GT game.

Haha had that one too :dopey:

Also the AI seems to slow extremly down in the last lap of some races, leading to a easy win for the player.
I think that's percentage-based rather than lap based. I did a 30 lap arcade race on eiger and for the first half, one car was just creaming me. It was a garaiya and I was an s2000 (so an expected behavior for me to lose).

Since there was no money on the line, I stayed with it. He was pulling away at about half a second per lap, but about halfway through the race his 1/2 second per lap increase reduced to dead even. I was stupid enough to think that I had somehow 'become awesome' during the course of the race (:dunce:), but then a few laps later, like a light switch I was moving up on him by 4 sec/lap and passed him like he was standing still. Not having a time to chase made the last 5 laps pretty boring.

Done stuff like that before, Im brutal on the AI if they piss me off. My favorite is flipping them over the inside berm on Trial Mountains last corner. push em toward it, pull away at the last second once youre sure theyre totally screwed, and watch em barrel roll onto their roofs and slide down the straight.
In GT5 at least I found it much easier to roll on Trial Mountain Reverse, hitting that lump the normal way only seemed to get me on two wheels

You really have to give them a nasty shove at just the right moment to flip em, but you have to be careful because too aggressive a shove and you'll take yourself out too.

Maybe the next DLC will be moto go bikes and rear wheel lifting off the ground is proof of some of the bike physics development code that got left in by mistake...

I think part of the problem is this;
Most cars until you get to the International A stage are street cars or race cars without paddle shifters.
So gamers on wheels are mostly using paddle shifters, and lots of DS3 users do auto shift.

Why do I bring this up? If the AI were modeled using manual clutch and transmission...
...they have their hands (and feet :)) a lot more full with both down shifting and braking into the turns.

The reason I am saying this is that I actually use a T500RS wheel with a TH8RS shifter for a lot of events.
When I am busy doing heel-toe and trying not to lock up the brakes, the AI are braking in sync with me.

But when I do the same race in same car using paddle shifters the AI's braking does seem a bit exaggerated.
This is because I am able to slow down much faster than the AI when using paddle shifters.
