It will be nice to have Ferrari reviving Dino, but they seem not interested low end Ferrari. Those Audis are nice, love those headlights 👍

Someday we are gonna see a car designed by U in the streets, mark my words Alex. 👍
And if he does I want to be the official photographer of his first car he designs for a car company.

you remind me when i used to do that sort of stuff back in highschool. they look so good the way you do them too! thanks for the memories and the great sketch.

Nice drawings, I see you are heading in the same career direction as you are but you are considerably better than me......*Goes Off To sulk In Corner*
Nice work though. Love the Audi's.

Great talent you have, alex!

I wish I could draw cars too, I'm only good at drawing and painting human parts...

Those look like 3/4 minute sketches (each, of course), but still look good and give a close idea of the general shape you wanted for them.

I specially like the 3rd counting from the bottom, mainly because of the angle, and also because it looks more touched up and accurate, as if it took longer, with smoother strokes of the pencil.

Very nice! Great job on the Dino too, just remember to set it up with a powerful engine this time ;)

Sweet sketches alex, you are a natural artist. I have been meaning to draw more lately. Been a long time since I did any drawing.

I really like the two Ferrari's, especially the Dino. Nice quick simple look to it.
Have you had in training in art, or did you just pick it up?

Look forward to your next update. 👍

Holy Moley i wish i could sketch like that 👍
The Audi ones are great, +rep alex:tup:👍(when i have spread it around)

Thanks all. I have tons of this quick stuff, 3 minutes sketches as Beerz said, so it's nice to scan some of them to bump the gallery and weblog. Notice I only show useless drawings in Internet, rather good conceptual ideas wich could be easly copied (Something evident)

Probably those ideas might be real in the future, but shamely more than talent and skills are needed to work designing cars. Anyways my university is finishing a project for Fiat now, and it worked with Seat and Audi in the past. At least the dream in continuosly pretty near of me. Hope I can touch it soon if I don't fall a bunch of exams again lol.

Great sketches Alex, are you a designer working for ferrari/audi btw?
Nope lol, I don't. But I guess Internet is big enough to find them there. Sometimes you don't know with who are you talking in forums.

Last night I discovered interesting things about Gran Turismo. The fact is GT has 3 places wich are in the Unesco World Heritage List. Those places are the Amalfi city, Assisi temples and Gran Canyon rocks.

Well I guess you know what is Unesco (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) and that important list. You can check it out in the links below.

http://whc.unesco.org/en/list

http://whc.unesco.org/en/list/830

http://whc.unesco.org/en/list/990

http://whc.unesco.org/en/list/75

GT has other well known places, like San Marco and Rialto bridge in Venecia, wich also are important places due their cultural and historic characteristics.

Once again I can see Yamauchi San create a cool game, but it has a cultural and automobile knowledge to be in a different chapter of just "flat" freak game programmers. If cars, photography and music are in GT, why not a bit of culture.

I've written some paragraphs in autoD&M if you like to go more in depth about this theme. You can use the translator linked in the right bottom but as you can imagine it's a big crap :D

Yeah, I'm going to start the 7th time I edit the same photo. I'm starting to lose any confidence about it lol.

I was searching in the Unesco web again, because I thought it was impossible Venize wasn't in the Heritage list. It's in indeed, but is the whole area rather just San Marco and Rialto alone.

The link: http://whc.unesco.org/en/list/394

So, 5 places of GT are in the Unesco World Heritage List. Cool :D

Wow, long time wishing to update this lol. Yeah, the 4th pic was a nightmare, I hated it, it was so difficult to get a decent look. Finally I'm still disapointed with it, so I want to request advices from gradient mapping users :D. I liked to do a photorealistic ambient such as the 3rd M3 in a sunny day... but all went wrong, flat and overdone.

Here is the basic image to work...

So now, hope you enjoy this batch of Nordschleife photos. The last image is a special one I "recorded" in my mind during the 24H last months. When I saw it in TV online, decided to take a similar photo in GT4 and create the most accurated situation to real life.

As you can see, it's a hardcore chop, under 3.0 rules or more lol (Because using clone stamp to fix line continuity). But the original tree shadows was removed just using selective levels... rather clonning surrounding areas. I'm very proud of the results indeed, and I wish it be able kill the popular loved previous Nürburg wide-landscape sunset :D.

Get words out, get images in!

The fog effect is really stunning, anyway my other thoughts on the rest of the update:

Favourite shot of the AutoUnion Type C is the first shot, because of how the driver can be seen with that lighting. Also the shot out of the two M3 GTR's I like the most is the first shot, because of the angle and the motion blur on all of the parts of the shot.

Interesting theme!! I guess no one will disagree saying you're one hell green hell lover

Both autounion are fantastic as the previous update, but this time I can feel Bob's bravery setting some time records in such a creepy track. Manipulation of the trees and environment are simple jaw-dropping. Those fenders on the streamline look very smooth like woman's chests :dopey:

M3GTRs are great. The first shot is my favorite because that's green hell's money shot. Not to mention the rims are too beautiful to look at. After check back and forth with the 4th shot's original, I can see how you edit your rims, great skills there  Somehow the 4th shot is not my cup of tea, maybe the background isn't interesting enough. However, the way you adding highlight is highly respectable.

The foggy Nurburgring is fabulous. The fog looks very natural and the tone is really convincing as well. I can easily relate it with the first trailer of Enthusia that the clip of R34 Skyline driving on Nurburgring during early morning. Sometimes Best Motoring pulling out some early morning test drive on Nurburgring that they look very similar to your shot too. Anyhow I don't think it can top your sunset panorama because it is too grand to look at :D

the photos are not as hellish as the actual green hell :D awesome job with the pictures as usual. the last one looks like there's 'something' evil lurking behind the fog. reminds me of an old movie called 'Grandprix' when the driver went thru the smoke not knowing there was an accident there. i love how you captured the place though, not to mention the editting (as if i had to). another good job from master alex! 👍

ps: are you attacking me with these photos or you just really made an update ? just kidding :D

These are all awesome, but you beat me to it....:nervous: I was going to do a 24 Hour Nurburgring update after this one that I am one now. But I am glad you did it as I can't do fog :scared: . Brilliant update!

Damn, that looks great. 👍 Looks like you can turn "schit" into something like this, haha, it looks very classy, I really like that.

About the shots, all shots are great. I also like how the 2nd BMW turned out. The shots of the auto union give a great sense of depth with retro feel, the rims of the 1st beemers rims look so good and the last shot is just amazing. Great work. 👍

Great shots Alex! I love the Auto Union ones mostly the 1st one, Did i mention i had a model of one(probaly not).
I Like both of the M3 ones and can't find anything wrong with them, but my favourite is the 2007 one not just because i watched it (and loved it!:D) but it looks just like it did when i watched it, its stupidly realistic.

Great job Alex i look forward to your next updates!👍

Cheers

Tommi2000:D

Hey Alex, that the weather changing shot is phenomenal!!! So real!!!! Damm:tup: How did U managed to do that??
The other shots are top quality, as always:) The M3 set is quite nice, good cameras U have there. The Audi set...looks very good in quality and I love the backgrounds. Sadly I don´t like that car, sorry.

Good to see U Alex, bring more soon:)

Very nice, Very Very nice!

First off, i love the way your celebrating this with pictures, it brings it alive!
The auto unions are very good photos, especially number 2 where you can see his face and all the details, and the photos here almost look as old as the car.

The BMW GTR, is something fresh. the green goes well with the car and some great angles there

And the weather change is so realistic, i am there!

Well done!

Brilliant, atmospheric shots! I love seeing new and interesting slants on GT4 photography and I can always guarantee that you'll prove them!

I have only one criticism and it's that in the fog shot, the effect of the road and the fog cuts off at either edge of the image. About 30 pixels from each end looks different, like it has been forgotten.

Ouch, it happened again! In my monitor I can't see the cut you are meaning but I guess in LCD screens that issue is obvious. So yeah, O fotgot to enlarge the noise filter to fit correctly the tarmac.

Honestly I don't know why, because I remember I fixed that detail and then the psd was saved again. Lately I always verify hidden problems when all work is finished, just adding a lot of gamma in a preview. Probably I used a previous jpeg version of the psd or something.

About the fog I don't know if you mean the top of the image... I was thinking in dodging the midtones of the clouds to enlarge the fog atmosphere, but finally I liked the dark look of the top corners :D

Thanks Moglet for reporting your feelings, they are very useful 👍

I meant the grassy areas either side of the track. Where the noise is missing from the tarmac there also seems to be a bit of darker grass, like the noise was applied on a lighter layer or something.

Oh well, it still looks damn good to me. 👍 The fog has been applied very realistically!

Excellent post on the Unesco list, and I enjoyed reading your write-up on that blog, your spanish flows a lot better than your english.

Now these shots are awesome as always, alex. 👍

I noticed what Mog's saying too, on the lower part of the shot, you can clearly see where the 'tarmac-base' ends, leaving GT4 tarmac uncovered, also visible on the grass, overlapped by noise.
But the fog effect is perfect. It looks great with both sides of the clouds darker, as if it's coming through the track, following a path. Very nice.
Do you use a graphic pen or something? I see some wicked stuff in there, extremely hard to do with a mouse (or at least MY mouse...)

The Auto Union shots are fabulous. Like franz pointed out, your control over scenery textures and tones is nothing shorter than awesome, and everything ends up very natural looking, without any bad textures showing, very smooth work. Also the car looks very metallic and smooth with the light hitting on the metal. 👍

The BMW shots are also very cool, and I love how you 'turn on the lights', very realistic indeed. Also, the amount and precision of work you did on the rims is of high praise, no detail was forgotten, and light control is pro level.
Great dodging work on the front of the car too (2nd shot).

I tried to work a bit on the original shot you linked, but the file is all weird, very low resolution, and it looked too bad with all the weird colors and textures showing up a lot more than usual. Also, all detail is gone from the shot.
If you still want to see it, click here.

Really, if I wanted to say all what I want about your shots, I would have to sent you a PM every time you update your gallery!!! I'm thinking to do a special anniversary of my gallery too, and to do that.... I'm beginning to do some photoshop tutorials :lol: After my vacations in Cádiz I will see...

Brilliant update Alex!

The Auto Union will always be a great classic for the Nurburgring,
and I love the BMW shots.

The 'Weather Change' is just a classy shot on its own. 👍

TVR&Ferrari_Fan. Thanks for your visit.

franz. Thank you too. About the crappy shot, I thought it may be a good composition... I thought that lol.

100k. Very thanks.

jgda9rs. Yeah, I'm attacking you lol. I have to see the Grand Prix film soon.

speedster502. Hehe sorry. I'm looking forward to see your version of the Nurburgring.

sejtur. Thanks for your feelings man.

Tommi2000. Glad you liked the foggy one!

NTX1982. I don't know how I did it lol. It was one of those pics you're editting and the same time you're finding solutions to problmes. It's like a maze really haha, but framed in some pixels.

SimmiS. Thanks for commenting!

Moglet. Nice to read so great words about my works man 👍. I've fixed the problem of the tarmac texture.

Beerzgood. Woops, I know lol. I also can speak something similar to Portuguese and Brazilian, probably better than my crappy inglis lol.

As I told to Mog, the problem has been fixed in the update. The noise layer was inside a vector mask so anything of it was overlayed on the rest of the photo.

I think the cut off is near of the area where the fog is stopping, so it's creating something like an optical illusion (Low Vs High contrast).

I was using a graphic tablet (It has been send to the technical assitance AGAIN) so I can get more control of little details, specially on the car. Most of my gallery was made using mouse, I drove Life fos Speed using mouse, even I rendered aome car using mouse... lol, probably mouse is not that bad haha.

Nice to see your version of the M3. I also tried to get some yellow to the highlings, or some neutral balance or I don't know what lol. I just made so many things with it. I remember it had over 6 or 7 gardient maps.

Arathorn. lol nice. DOn't make those atomic bombs like jgda9rs when he start messing arround with all PS effects possible at the same time haha.

JJ74...GT.King. Thaaanks.

I've ade a little chop/fake to show my version of the GT5 cover. It's easy to use press images of GTHD and Prologue so... I think not all credits are purely mine, I just pasted some layers there.

I originally posted it in this thread.
