What shall we call that rear panel of glass after the C/D pillar? Jagmeister kink?

It sounds like one amazing Sport Sedan and with it coming to the US; that's even more amazing! 👍
I can't afford one as I'm a mere college student, but I look forward to seeing them on the street.

So, two doors anyone?

Nice little article here about some of the smaller details which may have been looked over, like the carbon fiber brakes and ignition button on the steering wheel. I really like this car
Carbon fiber or Carbon ceramic?

The article says carbon fiber, but I can guarantee you they mean carbon ceramic. Carbon fiber can't withstand the sort of heat brakes put out, nor is their hardness really high enough to be durable.

I've been interested in Alfa. Odd car to get into Alfa right?

Beautiful car, and the same one that got me interested in Alfas.

Autoblog guy estimated $75k
I'd be surprised, given the performance, if it's any less than mid-fifties when it lands in the UK - similar to a BMW M3. Given that the US pays in dollars what the UK generally pays in pounds, plus a little extra for European stuff, I'd estimate that if the Alfa does land in the UK for £55k, it'd get a $60-65k tag in the States.

Regular base models? Again, based on what BMWs, Audis etc cost over here, I'd say at least £25k maybe, so $30k ish in the States? What does a basic 3-series cost over there?

Nah. Lack of imagination in that 'shop. I don't object to the idea of a coupe version of the Giulia, but I'd like to see something different - as Brera was to 159, or even as GT was to 156. I'd say the GT was the last truly pretty Alfa coupe:

I'm trying to remember the first car that got me interested in Alfa. I strongly suspect it was the 155, thanks to Tarquini's exploits in the 1994 BTCC season:

That's why I find Alfa cool. None of that Top Gear "you must own an Alfa yadda yadda" crap.

This thing wouldn't happen to share a chassis with the new 3-series, would it?

They start at ~$33k here for the poverty spec model, but I bet most of the ones sold are closer to $40k.

That's awesome.

The 3er kicks off at $32,950 for a 320i, the C300 at $38,400, the A4 2.0T at 35,500, the ATS 2.0T at $33,215, the IS250 at $36,550, and finally the G37 at $37,150.

I believe that BMW lacks a lot of stuff to get pushed out the door that cheaply, in addition to having the four-pot whereas a lot of the others come with a V6 standard. I'm not really sure what Alfa would plan to do for an entry-level model, but my guess would be that they'd slot in there somewhere above $33k, assuming they pack in a decent number of standard features. More or less, I'd think FCA would want to make it a logical step up from the Chrysler 200C, but that assumes FCA did some planning beforehand.

I like the interior most. The way the screen is integrated in the dash, may be hard to glance at while driving though. The "set top" screens in the Audi and Mazda may look added on, but there is more eye level movement when using those systems. I'm sure the performance will more than compensate for that feature. :)

Did these guys actually drag out Andrea Bocelli to sing Nessun Dorma for the car's unveiling? Absolutely ridiculous.

The Quadrifoglio?

They reckon around 90 000 Euro's for the Clover leaf version, but its all rumours and will have to wait till Frankfurt motor show to have a idea of the pricing. That will give you around a year to save up for one ;) once the price is released.

I like them because top gear told to me like them :sly:.
