I made it fully transparent WITHOUT a white bg... Also the original pic was just as ugly, but with a beige bg.

Anyways can someone make this just 1.5kb smaller? I tried converting to GIF but the image screwed up BAD...

If you use GIF you won't get the partial transparency in the centre. Try a colour matched JPG for best results.

I never worked on cleaning it up. The guy who wanted the picture fixed only asked for transparency, not a fix up (although it is still a well done clean up 👍).

Another thing is, that avatar isn't transparent, except on GTP, that might explain why it was put in quote tags to mask that.

It wasn't a clean up, it's been made from scratch using the picture A7X supplied. I prefer using a colour matched background over transparency as 8-bit .PNGs and .GIFs look ugly and 24-bit .PNGs won't display properly in IE6.

Just curios, how does PNGs look on ie6?

GIF's only look good here when they aren't transparent (well on GIMP atleast).

Also ironically the picture you posted IS PNG.

The transparency is replaced with a blueish-grey background.

The picture I posted is a .PNG without the alpha transparency. I exported to .PNG as it's lossless and it tends to look better than a compressed .jpeg .

Orion, what's your obsession with full transparency? None of my F1 avatars is fully transparent, and it doesn't bother a soul - apart from when Jordan changed the skin, which was once.

Wow you took that talented thing way to seriously.

And I wouldn't call it creation. All I did was turn leons JPG into a PNG and made it transparent, I didn't do anything else since A7X didn't ask for anything more.

When did I bash anyone? If offering avatars is wrong then fine I'll stop. 👎

I have searched GTP quite a few times, and can't seem to find the answer to my question, but I don't feel it warrants its own thread.
Anyways, I have a .Gif right now, and when I try to use it as a Custom Avatar, I get a still image. I get no messages saying the file type is invalid or too large.

I will keep searching though after this post.

Typical. Found my answer right after this post. I need to get it under 20Kb.

Also you should check the pixel size on it, it can turn an animation into a still picture, even if it's below 20kb.

Might as well. Can't figure out what to use to get the KB down to size, although PhotoScape got it way down to 884KB just be changing the width from 150 to 120.

It would be pretty tough to get that to GTP's strict 25Kb limit, my avatar is almost over limit and its only 2 layers!

That avatar is litterally 101 layers.

I know. I've even tried cutting it in half so that the "camera" does not move back downwards.
Here's 2 I created that are much smaller.
Removed for time being....

If there was a way for me to limit the KB, then it'd be easier....

Thanks for the effort. If you can get down to there from 101 frames, I'm hoping it'd be easier with this since it's basically half the original.

I'm also going to remove the other ones so far so repetition doesn't occur.

Can anyone make my avatar shaped like Azuremen's avatar? Also, can anyone do a good reflection of it? (the photo should be around 100px in size, while the reflection is around 20px) Here's how Azuremen's avatar looks like (if he doesn't change it that is.....)
