Because it's one pixel too large, so it was resized. I think that's what Tommi said he messed up.

I've asked this before, but it doesn't seem to be working this time. My avatars are coming out a big fuzzy. I saved it as a .png but it's still gets blurry when I upload it to GTP.

So I've tried an external imaging site, but it says the external image is too large. Can someone help?

I don't know what to tell you, R1600Turbo. The image you've attached to your post fits all the requirements - 120x120 and well under the 25k limit. All I can think of is that you accidentally selected a larger, non-compliant image when you changed it?

Regardless, I took the liberty (hope that's alright!) of re-uploading it and it seems to look fine now.
