That is fine Marcus as your lowest scoring round is dropped 👍.

Very well then, I've registered.

What is the Top Speed recorded in the upper RH corner of the transmission tuning sheet intended to read; 133 or 139mph? On the same car in my garage the transmission gearing does not appear to be the same on each setting sheet A, B, & C with each setting having identical modifications as prescribed by the ruleset.

Did you add custom rims? They change the gearing.

Yes. I am used to having to reset gearing to default after changing wheels, however there is no provision to do so with the close ratio 5 speed; as it is not adjustable. Now it seems that setting sheets that had been used prior to changing wheels show 133mph, while sheets previously unused are set at 139mph.

I think the wheels change the roll out so my guess would be to go with 133. I'm not sure thought.

I topped out at 129mph in testing it so theres the limit :P. That was when it hit the end and slowed to 125mph..

That would be the 133mph gearing. The 139mph will achieve 135mph prior to the fuel cut.

I also believe I've found a way to set the gear proper upon wheel change. It appears that if you cycle the gearbox back to stock, and then to the 5-speed close ratio option it will set it proper. When completed I have found it to reset to 133mph, further convincing me that it is correct.

If you actually feather the throttle to where it just is enough for the car to accelerate, it will go past the point it does if you floor it all the way and hit the redline

So are you going to put this series on hold until we get a few more entrants? Never thought I would see the day that one of your Miata series is hurting for participants. Traffic seems to be down quite a bit in the racing series section of this site in general though. 👎

Agreed, and yeah. May bump it back a week.

I also had plans for a spec Spoon Integra series as I love the car the way I have it tuned up, but I would expect zero interest.

I would definitely join in and I am keen on that Spoon Integra race, just have to wait until I can update my GT5 to 2.08, I am stuck at 1.07 right now. A week should buy me some time.

I don't know about that, I think you would get some interest, but maybe a spot race instead of a whole series. Maybe you could get all of the tuner cars, so add the spoon civic, spoon S2000( I think there is an S2000) plus the Mugen s2000, I think there is a celica that's a tuner, any others that anyone can think of?

Edit: Back on track, anyone want to try and get a "pre-season" type of race going this weekend?

Still not sure about the Integra series, but would really like it to be just the Honda.

I did some testing last night for a different series that I might post next week with an earlier time and a more appealing car. Got someone doing some testing for me at the moment to finalize the specs.

Hey Turbo,

Really interested in doing this after participating in a couple of your other ABS off races but the time really doesn't work well for me. I will keep an eye on the tread though in case you run spot races or make any changes.

hey guys,

i was looking for a series that runs late on the east coast and this looks like a good one. turbo always runs the best series so i know we are in good hands :) i signed up and im looking forward to some good miata racing

I just don't like having small fields of cars.

Lambo series doesn't seem to be getting much attention either. Guess anything I come up with now is a bad idea.

Who else can we try to get in from the US side since it's a late night/early morning GMT/UK time (Which is perfect for me given I finish work at 11pm UK..)

We may do a last minute tire compound change though, due to the new physics. Will have to test tomorrow.

I don't know about that. Will we just be doing normal wear settings? People say the tires are wearing evenly and it handles different but I don't think there's much change or I guess I don't pay attention
