Why are you guys complaining about brakes? There's a menu showing it clearly on the video.

There is not brake sub-menu in the tuning shop, it looks as if we cannot buy bigger brakes for cars. The brake menu you have seen in the tuning setup is just for adjusting brake balance.

True, that's why you would expect "the real driving simulator" to have better damage and collisions.

GT5 is a driving simulator not a crashing and damage simulator. It says so right on the box.

If you want to fit that damage model in a game with the current weather system/online features/track/car selection and course editor and photo mode, and come out with something that holds more info than the blu-ray discs be my guest :)

Like I said, you can't have it all. And I'm fine with that. :)

correction:- The 'Disappointment Brigade" would still NOT be happy with a free Veyron. !

And you'd be happy with a free polished turd, so here you go

Kaz was mad about the bug in GT2 that wouldn't let you complete it 100%. He's gonna have a heart attack when he realizes they forgot to put brake upgrades lmao

What I am hoping for is, that there are many many full hd videos from cars and tracks. GT5P already had those stunning (was my first HD experience) videos from most of the tracks and those videos from the GT-R.

That's just to set brake bias. We can't upgrade brakes like before.

Just in the Tuning Settings...but not in the Tuning Shop, that's a difference :P

The menu is for brake balance. Not upgrading brakes.

Wow, okay okay, I surrender. Forgive me

Brakes!!!!!(second to last) Thanks for the vid
It seems you can't upgrade them but modify them via the brake balancer (same in prologue)...

Upgrading brake kits in real life is only to reduce fade, all stock systems should have sufficient braking force to lock up tires and as braking fade isnt present in the game, maybe they didnt deem it necessary. Still weird, but maybe thats an explanation.

Tekken, for your sake, your surprise better well be epic...everyones already pinning their hopes on it lol :D

Tekken replies that the pressure is too much and that he will not release the surprise video because he's worried it will not be epic enough.

I knew I would get this argument, it's getting a bit old. :) Damage plays a HUGE part in racing. Some of you may find it unimportant, but it's not.

Well, there is a reason why every car dont keep their stock setups when they add alot more power, and it is nice to be able to stop the car as well when at end of a straight. Let's face it, Fading is one aspect, but going from 0-250-0 again, your stock brakes wont do that very fast compared to a big brake kit.

Uhhh...... still uploading??

Guys the surprise is probably something that we all already know about from a while back but Tekken has missed it.

Don't get so excited because that is when you all start crying. I've lost all hope with this game so I no longer care, I'm just going to be happy with what we get.

Mechanical damage IS important, cosmetic damage is NOT.

i think it's pain in ass to model all breakss because difrent cars/difrent wheels need diffrent breakes. So i think this is reason why.

I still wonder if we see change in muffler ..

Imo tuning like GT4 sometimes can be idiotic. Like tuning WRC cars or LPM.. or Cerberea Speed 12 . Those cars are the best and zou canąt easly uprade them !

It will be funny if you can tune your X1

That is your opinion.

Personally I think cosmetic damage is 100% important, and mechanical damage I would rather not have.

Edit:

LOL all this talk of brakes, look at the ad @ the bottom of my GTP page, EBC Brakes Direct.

Think of older cars that don't have very powerful or resilent brakes. Many of them from the '60s-'70s only had drum brakes.
The lack of brake upgrades means that especially for those cars, stopping power cannot be increased and that fade is not simulated, or if it is, that it cannot be reduced.
