Because Logitech apaprently refused to modify their firmware to prevent G27 users gaining an unfair advantage - So PD said screw you, no clutch.

I have no source or anything for that. Just remember reading it at some stage. I think there is a video about it on youtube. Will look into it.

Amen mate.

I find the physics discussion quite funny to be honest, we didn't even put our trembling hands on a decent wheel to actually play the game and experience tyre physics and weight transfer, so any comment on that matter is just purely speculation. I'll be satisfied if the physics engine behaves in the same way as it did back in the GT Academy demo though.

Thanks Steve. Well that certainly creates a problem for GTP registry folk who use a master ID such as myself.

Any word on how clans and or clubs with ID's are set up?

I had already planned on the save file being locked. I am all set to do two saves files at one time.
 
Don't feel like going back and reading everything. Just want to know, has it been confirmed that you cannot purchase upgraded brakes for any cars?

This would not be good.
 
Tekken, just wanted to say, and I probably speak for a lot of the "Lookie Lous" (i know it's corny :P) but THANK YOU for all these videos.

What's all this talk about the physics? I thought we already saw the options "Amateur/Professional/Simulation" in the steering wheel options-video...?

Just to make things clear about the physics: What I believe is that the option where you toggle between standard/pro physics has ben replaced with a "skid recovery force" button (or is it a slider?)

Turning this off is like playing with pro physics, and having this turned on is like playing on standard, it just gives you more grip which was basically the different between standard/pro physics.

The thing is, tekken90 hasn't told us yet if he's been driving with this skid recovery force turned on while he's been making all his videos, one can only believe so. Then ofcourse there's the other driving aids which he has turned on because he is on a pad.

Well, since they're now doing a second GT Academy competition in GT5's online mode I think we don't have to worry about the physics being dumbed down since the TT demo, but we don't know for sure yet...

There are no "review" copies, if there was, reviewers would have said so. They won't speak about the game or show footage under press embargo, but they can say they are playing it. I listen to Gamespot's podcast every week and they mention when big games are under review, last year the guy who reviewed Forza 3 mentionned he was playing it a month before release, same for Black Ops two weeks ago. No word about GT5 means there won't be a review, hence review copies, prior to official release.

Hmm. Maybe we're gonna get different versions over time. Just like Prologue had Spec 1, Spec 2, and finally Spec 3 i believe if im not wrong.
