ALMS Season V

I really whiffed on this one. I have Stormy to thank so I can at least share the Championship.

I think I'll try my luck in LMP next season. If there even is an LMP class. Gatrs said something about changing it up for next season.

I need to get better at driving the cars in this class. Thankfully we have some of the best. Seth is 2 or 3 time champ (i lose track) now. Anthony is just as fast and it usually comes down to the last lap with these two. DayOfWar is def. a contender if he decides to race next season.
 
Congratulations on the championship, FH! Sadly I messed up my own race... repeatedly... but you had one hell of a start. 0 points separate us, but who has more wins? (EDIT - You won 1 more race than me. If we didn't have the points drop you'd still win the championship.)

Also, radio from my car during the sunrise part of the race.

Engineer: Update on the car?

Me: Tires are doing well. I think I can last the remainder of the race.

Engineer: You're catching up to Stormy by 2.5 seconds a lap, just keep on it and you-

Me: *Tire screeches; bump: Oh Goddammit! Sorry, guys. Race's over. I'll just try to bring home the second place...
 
At that same exact point in time, only a corner later...

Engineer: Just be careful during turn 1, tires are worn out from the spin.

Me: I'll be fine, see any damages on my car as I pass?

Engineer: None that we can see.

Me: Alright. Oh 🤬 the rears have no grip! *Tire screeches: What the hell happened with the rears? 🤬 me.

Engineer: I said the rears are cooked! Why would you brake hard while turning in a car with worn tires?!

Me: ...Okay. No more radio for the race.
 
Congratulations FH for your championship..IF you decide compete in LMP you will be welcome, I need a teammate and you would be a good one teammate!!

Personally, I don't like the way the 2 worst race deduction rule played out here, at least with Sinlader. He was in every race and has to take the most out of the LMP class, which would force him to 3rd. So I have listed the results in order of total points before the deduction, with the deducted points in a separate column. If gogatrs wishes me to order them the other way, then I'll update it properly.

Congrats to unrealanthony for winning the LMP category before and after deductions.

Congrats to ghskilla and FlyinHawaiian77 for tying for first in the GT category, and FlyinHawaiian77 again after deductions.
 
Hey anthony, We had long hard epic battle for two entire stints. awesome racing with you man.

Does anyone have the replay of that race? I might figure out how to add them to youtube for this one.

Well I cant really complain if seth had made more races Id be 3rd anyway just wish so many ppl didnt quit lmp. Id acually would have had some ppl to race with on the short tracks instead of trying not to get lapped lol :D.
 
Rosck - You would have to use a capture card to record whatever is on your TV.

Sin - Stick with the class next season. I'm going to be totally new to this style of racing. I think braking points is what I would need to get used to. Everytime I watch Seth and Ant it amazes me how late (i think) they can brake into a corner.
 
Would anyone here have a problem with being on a Bi-Weekly schedule next season with my United Sports Car Championship?
 
I should be a-ok for next year. I'm interested to see what changes will be made to LMP. I'm for increasing the horsepower because of the tire wear update. I'm sorry for the whole traction control argument fiasco I started. I should be able to make the whole season this coming year.
 
I wouldnt be opposed to it. Ghs has thrown shown us a glimpse of what he can do over at Rolex. But I like Stormys way of updating the stats and keeping everything regulated. We havent really had any issues since he started taking over the lobby and the stats.

I've been asking a lot of stormy lately, would like him to, but only if he wants to.
 
Oh I won't be updating the stats and etc. I'll just add a link/screenshot of it at the OP. Give me time, deadlines, and something to work with.
 
Any word on when the next thread will be up?

We were at a steady 9 drivers towards the end of the season. I think our core group is strong. Hopefully we can gain a little more interest.

I should be joining the core now. Once time changes, I should have more time to race. Of course, I haven't been able to connect to GT5's servers in a week :(👎
 
I already have an OP for Season VI in progress. It is almost done. Look for it soon. As far as racing this weekend, if you guys want, we can hold an exhibition race at a track of your choice using Season V's specs. That is provided that I don't have Season VI up yet. If I do get it up, then it could be a pre-season race.

Anybody know how many laps you guys did at Daytona?
