I'm currently listening and I do hear a strange mix of "northern" like Michigan, Wisconsin, etc, and some New England influence like a very slight Boston twang. But it's slight. It's definitely something from over yonder, not from the upper Midwest at all. Overall I don't know enough about that region except that accents can vary wildly over very short distances which is much less common outside of New England. Judging by the fact that he's dealing with beavers, moose, and conifers, I'd suggest he's in far northern Vermont, New Hampshire or especially Maine. NH and ME especially have a lot of very sparsely inhabited northern halves but while upper NY and VT are within the range of moose, they're actually relatively populous.
Edit: Those are active logging roads so most likely northern Maine. That's waaaay out in the sticks.
