They made him an offer he couldn't refuse...

I'm trying to guage the meaning of that facial expression but I'm not a terrible person so I don't think I've ever made it. It looks like he simultaneously realized that he did do that, tried to calculate the quickest way out of the room, a dash of pokerface to hide his shame, some frustration and anger, defeat and acceptance. Did I get that right?

His exclusivity with TS ends sometime before August 2023. My guess is at that point he will migrate over to the other platforms fully (if Twitter still exists at that time).
Probably, though I can't see him going a whole half a year without childishly lashing out about it. I certainly can see Trump throwing Truth Social under the bus the second they stop providing personal gain to him though, so RIP in advance to them. Once he's gone their userbase is most likely going with him.

Adam Schiff, former chair of the House Intelligence Committee, has announced a run for the California US Senate, alongside rep. Katie Porter. Though it is unclear whether incumbent Dianne Feinstein- who has filed with the FEC to run for her seventh term in the Senate- will actually run, especially due to anonymous concerns from fellow Democratic senators that she may be suffering from Alzheimer's in office, this bit caught my attention. Schiff reportedly announced his run after Feinstein told him to "go forward" with the run. This almost implies that Schiff needed her permission in order to run, which raises concerns about the perception that it is inappropriate for a candidate to challenge a long-serving incumbent, particularly when that incumbent is facing questions about their age and mental decline. Any serious candidate should have the opportunity to participate in a primary contest against an elected official, regardless of their established political status, and Feinstein's position should not exempt her from such scrutiny.

Perhaps Schiff likes Feinstein, respects her position and career, and did not want to cost her her seat? Is it not Schiff's prerogative whether or not he wants to run against someone?

All of this could be true while he still primaries her. No one is guaranteed a seat.

I think you missed my point. I'm saying perhaps he does not wish to primary her unless she is on board with it. You're removing Schiff's agency here, or at least presuming it to be a in favor of running for this seat in all circumstances. Perhaps his desire for this seat is contingent on her wishes.

That's a fair point. Either way, whether Feinstein chooses to run or not, I don't see how she could possibly win her primary to begin with.

Wearing a dark blue suit, red tie and American flag lapel pin, sitting in front of a camera in a downtown Manhattan conference room, Trump answered "yes" when asked by James if he was familiar with the rules for giving a deposition. But as the questioning about his finances began in earnest, the former president—and now candidate for that same office—invoked the Fifth Amendment and continued to do so for nearly four hours.

Hol' up, wait a minute, what's that I hear?

Meanwhile Sandra Garza is suing Trump for what she argues is her partner Brian Sicknick's wrongful death.

I mean, them pulling off Omar from a committee while keeping Gosar and Greene there for the exact same reason is just using Jews as a political football.

The vermin had to ensure Omar made it onto that committee before they could pass that masturbatory resolution removing her.

Modern American conservatism is mental illness.

Garbage. On. Parade.

People such as Kris Goldsmith give me hope for the US, naught word use warning for the article (also poor proof-reading - but that's Rolling Stone for you)

Not exactly the greatest spy balloon ever... couldn't they at least have made it sky blue, or transparent??

The last image taken from the nose of the missile before impact. Turns out it was just a lonely old man trying fulfill a promise he made to his late wife.

What is going on with your air-traffic control, America? I've heard not great things, but sweet zombie Odin:

FR24 isn't typically that accurate to the small vertical distances shown, but at what looks like a 40-foot differential in plane altitudes they missed by somewhere between microns and 100 feet. Visibility was also seemingly not wonderful.
