Meanwhile at the Democratic Socialist Convention...

Is it just me or are these guys people a little too soft to be revolutionaries?

I don't remember hearing about Che Guevara's quiet rooms.

I don't like the fact they call each other "comrade" as it seems pretty aggressive.

Steven Crowder did a bit on this where he tried to tag along with them and it didn't go over too well.... I'd provide the link but you know how journalism goes, go find it yourself...

I'm not sure Che was a "Democratic Socialist" ... & he wasn't operating in the United States, but in poor, almost feudal, agrarian states ruled by brutal dictators. I guess "micro aggressions" seem more important when you don't have to worry about death squads.

Are we sure this is legit and not just some elaborate joke? Surely, this movement and the people in it can't possibly be this estranged from reality.

Edit: I did some digging. I'm terrified and appalled at the same time...

The Clintons strike again!

Even if it were true...

Well ... there are so many high profile people implicated in the Epstein affair, it would make an excellent subject for an Agatha Christie story (spoiler alert: they all dunnit).

I've been somewhat bemused by Alan Dershowitz's support for Trump over the last couple of years. I had put it down to Trump's aggressively pro-Israel stance. Now I'm beginning to wonder ...

While the jokes are funny, this is also pretty chilling.

He'd already tried to commit suicide two weeks earlier. I believe he was on suicide watch.

I find it hard to believe that such a high profile case where there was also an established risk of suicide was allowed into a position where he could kill himself successfully. We already know that there's a lot of powerful people potentially linked to Epstein, and probably more that we don't know of. I find it far more plausible that someone arranged that Epstein could "have time to himself" in which he could commit suicide than that the prison screwed this up. Police and law enforcement are not known for their love of child molesters.

This might be one of those times where the tin foil hat scenario might actually be the most likely. Epstein's death is awfully, awfully convenient for anyone scared that he might implicate them.

They watched him until he committed suicide. In fairness the job description writes itself.

I hate myself for laughing at this as much as I did.:boggled:

But yeah, no way this guy kicked the bucket without some form of help. At best, it's extremely gross negligence on the part of the prison staff, and heads should (proverbially) roll. At worst, some of the elite conspired to kill him, and they'll likely never be found guilty for it. Latest word is that the FBI is investigating Epstien's death, so fingers crossed.

Yup. What's troublesome is that this plays into the conspiracy theorists/global elites/illuminati playbook. Now nobody will believe anything/everyone will believe anything ... & Dotini will have a field-day with his "post-modernist" observations. :ouch:

To be fair, there are groups of global elites out there. Politicians, business leaders, celebrities, like with any group of humans there are relationships and connections between a lot of these. It's just that these are the ones we know about, not some global shadowy organisation, and thus doesn't fit the illuminati conspiracy mould. This is just the old boys club of rich jerkwads that we all already knew have far too much influence over the world.

Illuminati bollocks is still bollocks. But it's probably a good moment for people to have a look at how the world as we know it is structured. Money is very much power in the modern age; if you're rich you can do more or less whatever you like. And if you also have enough friends who are rich, you don't even have to pretend that you're a part of the human race any more.

We all intuitively know this, but I think we all like to believe that those at the top can't really be that different from the common man. That deep down we're all kind of alike. That all that separates us from them is one good break, a sweet job, a lucky lottery win.

I'd suggest that a group of child rapists who kill each other to stay hidden are very much not like the rest of us, and never will be.

I hope I can find it again but someone on Reddit linked that he was taken off suicide watch just shortly before he kicked his own bucket. That would seem to play into the “time to himself” theory.

Seriously, I’m amazed this guy was not under 24/7 surveillance to carry this out. Have they announced how he did it?
