The R8 will dominate. The BMW V12 LMR is allowed but its the same class as the Toyota? lol

Mitch doesn't need to be here, this information is available on the web. LMGTP is the class both the Toyota and BMW LMR are in officially for the 1999 LeMans race. The Toyota was 'GT1' for 98. This was because they made a road car version.

Yeah the Toyota seemed more equalized to the other cars, too. I think it could or should be allowed.

LMGTP was for closed top prototypes (Bentley Speed 8, Audi R8C, Toyota GT-One, etc) so do explain freshseth why you think an open top LMP900 car was in that class?

Sorry guys, my Internet and cable have been out for 2 days now due to a heavy snowstorm and I'm at the mall :D

Edit: Gatrs there's a ZR1 instead of a Z06 now? :(

The BMW LMR was the only 'prototype' for 98, not 99. So explain why you're in this thred when you have no intention of signing up. Freshen up on your history, the Toyota and BMW came and passed before the lmp900/675 rules.

Yes my bad, LMP900/LMP675 was first created in 2000. Funny though that the LMR raced in 2000 aswell under LMP900 rules....guess you can't always be correct tho right?

Plus, the LMR was the only prototype in the 1998 Le Mans? Brush up on your history...Ferrari 333SP, Kremer K8/2 Spyder, Courage C36 + C41 + C51, Riley and Scott MkIII, Debora LMP2. But I guess since you believe what you have said is correct Le Mans in 1998 only had the GT-One, CLK-LM and V12 LM.

Forgot to add, Mr. I'malwayscorrect why do you think I have no intention of joining? Trying to tell me what I'm thinking too?

Yes I'm sure you are both history majors scouring the library (wikipedia/google) for source material. :D

As for this Friday, will we be running with the GT-E pack or on our own, gatrs?

The BMW was the only 'prototype' for 98, that's in gt5. I think I clarified that. But the BMW in the game is '99, right? You don't have to be a genius to know the regs if you watched LeMans. BMW's official LMR is the 1999 model in the game, same as the Toyota. They're not group c cars, which was the original argument. I'm not "Mr. knowitall" I'm Seth.

I don't know that anyone ever did lol. I thought you said the Toyota was a GT-1 car or something like that. Someone else mentioned Group C and then it just turned into a huge game of online telephone it seems.

Some GTC practice tonight anyone?

 I just imagined Jorg Bergmeister standing next to his porsche with his helmet in hand saying that.

Anyway I'll probably be online at some point for a little bit. Maybe I'll see you on.

Gimme about an hour, assuming you don't keep distracting me!

And also, I'm going to allow the Toyota GT-ONE.
I want no more arguments about it. It's in, I don't care if it's an LMP, Group C, or GTP.
680 HP for it.

And to the above poster, the Viper is NOT going to be allowed.
We're attempting to keep it as similar to the current ALMS as possible.

i would love to know why the viper is banned? there has to be a reasonable answer, i would hope?

It doesn't compete in ALMS. LMP has extra cars that aren't current because of the ALMS prototype class's lack of diversity in GT5.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's the jist.

i remember it running awhile back, there was at least two but i haven't been watching it lately so they may be gone until the viper comes back into production next year

The Ford GT is in this series as well, it's only problem is HP, but it outhandles every other GT. I will run that instead of LMP.

freshseth83- GT, Ford GT.
