Race Report - Pre-Season at Nürburgring GP/F, seen from a BMW V12 LMR cockpit.

MY LAP COUNT MIGHT BE EQUIVOCATED. MY DUMBNESS MADE ME FORGET TO SAVE THE REPLAY.

First lap, I tried to help in the pace lap formation and it seemed to work. I placed myself at last LMP grid spot since I had started in the back of the grid. The 2nd lap start was a bit messy for LMP racers, there seemed to have a doubt about where to accelerate. This might require some discussion later. But it went well after all, there were no incidents, Ronin kept the lead.

LAP 3: spartyfan95 clipped the sand at the second turn after Schumacher's S [right turn] and hit me in the process. It was PURELY AN ACCIDENT, absolutely no blame upon him or me. This gave lovealotbear the second place he did not want to lose anymore!

In the upcoming laps, I gave real fight to lovealotbear, these were very pleasant laps.

LAP 9, the one I must apologize about: We reached GTC traffic for the first time. I do not remember if I was in front or behind lovealot. I know that I went through Schumacher's S behind 3 GTC cars, stood behind them in the left turn, used an outer line to overtake 2 of them at the right turn [I HOPE THIS MANOUEVER WAS NOT RECKLESS, IT SEEMED ALRIGHT]. Then, there was gogatrs. Coming out of this corner, my car balanced a bit, and trying to control it I ended up ramming gogatrs, but not hard. After this, I accelerated, took the right side in that fast turn before the chicane, and thought "Hey, I will go as close to the right as I can so I make sure I won't hit gogatrs." Do you think that worked? IT DID NOT, I say. I went to the right too much, clipped grass, lost control and crossed the track, taking gogatrs to the sand with me. I am very sorry, that was a reckless manouever. - THANKS FOR OTHER GTC RACERS FOR SLOWING DOWN SO GOGATRS WOULD GATHER AGAIN, that made me feel less bad eheheheh

Me and lovealotbear had more and more close laps, with some overtakes [I tried to be as fair as I could be] and I got a pretty good overtake before the chicane just when we were going to pits, what gave me some lead. This lead I soon managed to lose again, what is unfortunate.

LAP 17: Someone from GT clipped the sand in Schumacher's S. When trying to regain car's control, I came at full speed and wasn't able to avoid the accident. Again, purely an accident. It was a orange 458, I was so fast I missed the name lol

After that, another time checking lovealot taillights [THEY WORK VERY WELL, SIR!]. At lap 22 I was having some REAL CLOSE braking... I could breath your exhaust gas ahahah. Once it seemed to me that I hit your back, because sometimes online it happens that you hit someone but does NOT feel it. If that happened, sorry.

At lap 24 and 25 I revealed my super powers, made mistakes and finished happy with my third place!

IN SHORT TERMS: First time with such traffic experience, I will surely improve this. Summing it all out, it was an awesome race. Thank you, racers.

Was in second, fighting for the lead, brakes too late and Is in the grass! Cant regain his rhythm, loses miserably

Couldn't have been any worse than me. I had a miserable race. 👎

If all the pros are in GTC maybe I should join GT-E. I don't prefer to be half a lap down on the rest of my class. Although it was pretty cool to see so many people enthusiastic about it.
 
As soon as Viper/Cowboys got out of my view entirely, I slowed down because I wanted the two fellas to keep up, I'd even tried to do a couple of sliding :P Then my tires died on me at the 18th lap, so I lost my pole. But I didn't really want it anyways ;)

I have 3 problems
1. I can hot lap fine all day but as soon as another person is on the track I crash.
2. I am not good at passing
3. My tire were out WAAAY too fast

GTC was awesome tonight. Plenty of close racing going on. Blaze is always living up to his name. You put the car together at the last minute right? That was some good driving. 👍

Lots of new names to get used to. Still not sure if I wanna stay with this class or not. Gonna bump it up to the next class for the next practice and see how I do there.

By the way gatrs, I forgot to take the pics from that photo shoot thing we did last week/2 weeks ago. Or you already or someone already took them and pends to be posted?
 
Are you using someone else's tune? I'm always down for a practice session. Juss send me a message if you ever see me online. I can honestly say I enjoy the practice more than A-spec and random lobby racing.

👍 I think I'm using Lion's Den, which is probably meant for higher HP because it's stiffer suspension and meant to keep the oversteer in check. But...I don't have a lot of oversteer. It's actually a little understeery.

Should I just go back to the standard tune? Is that good enough? I don't know I could try a few others.
 
Maybe try out some other tuners? I'm using this one but with a little tweaks here and there. Still have some work to do on it. I keep lighting up the outside tires coming out of the turns.
 
GTC was amazing! Me, Gatrs, and FlyinHawaiian where dicing for position and it was just amazing! Then we literally got diced up by the passing LMP cars lolol. then i tried to race a GT Ferrari and failed lol. GTC was very fun...

I'm glad you guys had a good race. It looked really close between you three. Maybe with a new tune I'll be up there with you.

For the Record.....lol.....What is pretty and perky and loves everything about love and tries to make it grow wherever she goes. Love-a-lot Bear .... im a female.....hahaha..great report and race DDS...lots of fun!!
