I've tried to do the american only cup in B spec many times at the indy track. My best american car is the race modded corvette. Next is the dodge viper fully maxed or the Cadillac Cien concept car. I can easily win that race with any of those cars but my b spec drivers cannot. Is there an american race car similiar to the Minolta or FGT in this game? I've looked at the Chevy, Ford, and Dodge dealerships and they don't have race cars in there.

i am having trouble with this in B-spec too.... hope someone answers but i bet the Moderators will move this thread to the "B-Spec" forum... Just an FYI.

Have you got Ford GT LM Spec II? It is won in Dream Car Championship. It can be tuned to 810 bhp which is more than enough. If you don't, and your pockets are deep enough, there is Ford GT LM Test Car from Gran Turismo dealership (3.6m).

I was hoping someone would have an answer as well because the cars I mentioned in the first post have more than enough horsepower to win the race but the drivers always brake in the corners. It's annoying. Even if I give the pace up command in turn 1 and turn 3, they still slow down enough to lose ground or positions.

I actually have the spec Ford GT. I was hesitant to put money into the car because I doubted that it would have more horsepower than the Corvette race mod car. I'll give that a shot. Thanks.

I have spec gt but I did not max it out because I already tried with the gt with two stripes down the middle. That car had 830 hp and still the driver could not win. I'll max the spec gt and see what happens.

I forgot to mention also that the B Spec driver seems to brake a lot less when the downforce is turned up. Im pretty sure my Spec II Test Car has the downforce at max and he barely touches the brakes, and when he does its just a quick tap.

Thanks for the tip about the downforce. I tuned that and won both tracks in the American Championship easily. Used the spec GT at Indy and the rm Vette at Laguna Seca.

If I had the ZR1 RM tuned right my driver could have won. I have the GT spec car so I tuned that and easily won both events. I might go back and redo the AC with the RM Vette tuned right.

Have you tried tuning the car to change its max speed/acceleration, i could never do the last professional series race... until my brother showed me how to change the transmission settings...
