ok i really want one of these wheels but does anyone know where i can get one in the US other than from the online store?
I pre-ordered my Turbo S Wheel. Receiving it sometime in June. Looking forward to finally having a wheel that will work on all my systems (not for my Super Nintendo though, sadly...). Not to mention the ability to harwear lock the wheel to 180, 360, or 900 degrees, making F1/Rally/Arcade games much more realistic and/or useable.
Sim Racing Tonight has already done a review of the Porsche 911 Turbo Wheel. They said they would not be doing a full review of the Turbo "S" wheel because they are essentially exactly the same wheel, only with X-Box compatibility added.

I'm a bit concerned that F1CE will not feel right with the RS wheel because of the larger size of the wheel & grip...
Yeah they did.. But I was talking about the RS wheel. Sorry for misunderstanding Last week's videos, they show the RS wheel box and said they do the review soon.
In fact there are more wheels on the way. With and without car branding.
Porsche definitly created a lot of extra buzz for us and we would have not got as much attention without it so it was a good choice. Porsche also opened a lot of doors for us.
If you come out with even better options then the current one's, I will be very upset. In fact there are more wheels on the way. With and without car branding.

Why don't you let us in on your plans, so that we know which wheel to wait on. I have the turbo s clubsport wheel ordered and can't wait to get it. Do you have something better then that planned for multi console release?
Also I have not received an email from you about my testing of your turbo s clubsport wheel. I replied to an email from you 2 months ago, and have heard nothing. Just wondering where you guys are with the production.
Yes. We shipped the wheels from China for EU and next week to the US. Both shipments should arrive in about 3-4 weeks.
Ummm, yes...actually. The name "Fanatec" is a relative unknown. Porsche is well known, so they needed a big name to get sales. Once you have sales, if the product is good, word will spread which is exactly what happened. Do you think they would have done as well if they made a Skoda wheel with rubber-band tensioning?!I've got the RS wheel on order - I'm hoping that it IS fully functional with PS3 games.
I'm not crazy about the way it looks - I like the rugged simplicity of the G25. I also think it's a bit weird to be using a "Porsche" wheel with a variety of virtual cars. Why did Fanatec feel it was an advantage to use (& presumably PAY for the privilege of using) the Porsche logo? Does anyone feel that it will actually increase the sales of the Fanatec wheel?
a Skoda wheel
LOL. Well, I definitely wouldn't suggest Skoda, but I question why they would tie in to any brand name, especially if they have to pay a lot for the privilege - it doesn't make sense to me to be driving a virtual Ferrari, BMW or Honda using a Porsche-badged wheel. The G25 seems to have a great rep without using a car manufacturer's name - & I like the "generic" look of the G25.
In the end, given the relatively small world of sim-racing, quality is the thing that really matters & I would rather Fanatec spend the money on the product rather than a brand tie-in. Personally, I find it a bit of a turn-off, but then I NEVER but any item with "name-branding" if I can possibly avoid it...

Well, I'm not making a big deal out of this - just curious how the gaming industry operates. I can understand using the Gran Turismo branding, since it is a "generic" tie-in (ie. not directly related to a single car brand) but I would imagine PC sim racers would prefer NOT to have to use a GT branded wheel. Momo is an obvious tie-in because it relates to actual steering wheels. I just think it's going to be a bit odd to be (virtually) driving a Corvette (for example) with a "Porsche" wheel.
