The Ginetta G4. Lots of fun, and everybody has the car because you win it in the Beginner Hall (you didn't sell it, did you???).

You will need to add all of the go-fast parts to the car, and I think it maxes out around 220 HP or so, but it's such a light car that you don't need any more power.

I'm not gonna A-spec it, I'm gonna B it.
@jbrennen: i still have it cuz i thought it come in handy once :D only still has 51hp now tho..

so i should go for the ginetta G4 fully tuned?

how can i unlock it?
or is it that AC Cars 427 S/C '66 ?
Yep, it's the same car, and you buy it at the AC dealer for a mere 500k... :D

Other cheap options include the Ginetta G4, and it'll win pretty easily, as long as the AC Cobra isn't in the championship.

I also used the E-Type Jag.
Changed oil, tires (tyres?) and tranny.
B-Spec Barny whooped the competition quite easily.

please note there is a slight flaw with the race -- if you B-Spec the race, "Bob" may or may not crash into the wall Le Sarthe track which is the last track to race in the series...mine did that on the hard left hand turn after the long straight about 4-6 laps into the race and kept backing up and driving straight back into the wall, repeat etc etc etc

but the AC Cobra is a great car to use in this series and doesn't need to be won...it was my car of choice for "Bob" to use and I still won the championship even though I forfetted (spelling?) the last race in the championship and still got the car, but I think I need to race the track and finish to get a slight added percentage in my % game completion??????

anyway hope our answers help ya out 👍

. . . the Ginetta G4, and it'll win pretty easily, as long as the AC Cobra isn't in the championship.

That's what I used the second time around. I only had it tuned to arounf 150hp and it smoked the competition.

Granted, the cobra wasn't in the lineup. I would definately give the G4 a big 👍 for the 1000 mile race.

The first time around I used the '63 Vette. I really walked away from the competiton. But at the ring I was melting the tires and ended up in the pits every other lap.

easy win = no fun. :yuck:

Exactly.

To the thread starter: follow the link in my signature to view a thread all about high a-spec point races in stock cars. Then scroll down until you find the race you are looking for.

The higher the a-spec points, the more fun(generally). Just be careful as some races require a field reset(enter and exit the race to reset) to win. 👍

Best post in here! That deserves some reputation points! 👍

I A-specced this in a stock Alfa Romeo Spider Duetto 1600 '66.
Tremendous fun, on a combination of N1 and N3 tyres for the first 3 races.
The fight with the Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA 1600 '65 at the Nurburgring was epic! :D
Had to resort to S2s for Le Sarthe though! :guilty:

*edit* I see luftrofl has just said almost the same thing!
How convenient coming from another Club 200 member too! ;)
We know what real racing is! Come and join us Dimitrov!
My races above weren't eligible for it because of the N tyres though....:guilty:

Same here. The tires got so bad once that B-spec Betty spun out and missed the pit lane. Then she ran out of fuel, and slowed to a crawl. :scared: Still murdered the field, though.

with an AC cobra, the race summary would go something like this:
start...pass,pass,pass,pass,pass.................................................................................................................end...

I used the Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA 1600 '65. Most important is to buy a racing suspension because the car is very unstable under braking.
You can add some other tuning stuff if you want to B-spec the races. Or you can drive 1/3 of it and then let the B-spec driver do the rest.

I'm currently in the race with the AC Cobra @ lap 2 (bspeccing)
with hard sport tires but they are already fluo green
tick overtake or not?
What does overtake mean actually?
i just pitted @ start of lap3

edit: i just did some tests with overtake and i guess it means to bypass another car in front of your or not :D
