Same. And I learnt and improved my english on this forum since sept 2011 :)
No need to go to school to learn english, just play GT5 ahaha

Just to clarify, only full wets are allowed, correct? Not inters?
I will calculate it tonight....

Reg change: sports hard tyres and racing rains are now permitted. Racing intermediates are still banned. This mesns you have to purchase a set of racing compound tyres to have access to racing rains.

Morning guys.

16 laps today + 1 warm up.

Racing Rain tyres are now legal, although Inters are still disallowed so if you are found using them you will be disqualified.

Rain is expected.

correct

Well, i had a discussion with Brandofo and he decided to accept me as his teammate.
So I'd like to know if my points for Round 4 can count for Chomsky Motorsports.

And my car is #86 / fantasiagrün (same green as Brando) / Black wheels.

Cheers
By the way, is it official? Or is it gone to the bin?

Made a bad choice going for a 2 stop was never going to work when I went wet wet drys.

I actually briefly tested the Rains in the dry and yeah, they just fell apart. I knew once it was drying out they would go off quite quickly. I then chose the run off in the wet parts to keep them cool and not run out of fronts for their last lap.

That was a good race. I messed up in the opening laps but remembered how to drive on lap 10. I was hitting the brakes wrong.

Worked with Marunda to try and get a top 3, I think I was faster with about 20 to 1% surface water but I was trying to save fuel.

A top 5 was good but I felt like I could have done better.

Side note: Great door to door racing all, 2 weeks ago I was picking up some lag but it was smooth today 👍

Had a good race until around lap 13 when I was about to run out of fuel (stupidly I put 20l in from the previous stop) Would of easily had a 1st or 2nd place as Brandofo and me were quite ahead from the other guys. Pitted around lap 14, put not enough fuel in again and ran out on lap 16 or whatever it was. Lame.

One thing though, saw an awful lot of cutting with no lifting off the gas on numerous occasions.. and also, not going to mention names but come on guys, the race wont be won on overtaking on every corner, there was a lot of dangerous overtakes made which time could of been gained hugely if they let go of the gas for a few seconds.. but that's just my two cents.

Was anyone else surprised at the insane wear on those Rain tyres???

Completely. Pushed hard to get up to 4th, caught the lead back and then boom! Tyres went of the cliff and had to crawl the last half lap before my pit which probably cost me around 15 seconds. Braking without ABS with a non existent front right is tricky. :scared:

That's funny, felt I had the edge once the track was getting dryer. :P

Nice 2 car drafting going on, we were running consistent 45s-46s until the last 2 laps when the tyres dropped off. Cut the lead gap massively and almost caught LongbowX.

But in the end pleased to take my second podium this season, maybe could have been 2nd without the tyre wear. :)

Result:

I think I had a slightly better line in T2.

Anyway, it was a good effort trying to catch the leaders. If we had 1 more lap and one less mistake we could have had a shot.

Yeah, I never quite got back up to the level I had in practice yesterday, was always being a bit more cautious through Rivage and the no-named corner after it (which is a 🤬 if you're off line, which I was quite a bit ), but I felt I was pretty good through Les Combes, seemed to pull a bit there when I got it bang on. :) But lost it all in Rivage.

In the end though I made a couple too many mistakes to catch the leaders.

Seems to be that I always go faster in practice than in the race. 1.3 seconds is a big gap in lap time. :indiff:

Oh, probably have tables up tomorrow, too worn out to do them now.

Alright, this should be all correct, I've gone through it but sometimes you just miss stuff:

Good work Marunda, keeping us in the hunt for a team podium. :)

Ah it was a fantastic race. Qualified 11th because I took the risk to use sports hards and not rains but was literally a lap away from the tires coming on. Made my way up to 4th in the first 2-3 laps (with a sweet double overtake into Les Combes on Carb and I think Dax, even if I do say so myself :sly:), spent the next 2-3 laps catching the leaders and caught them coming into Rivage on lap 6/7. Then going into Pouhon my tires just went completely and couldn't turn. Coasted the half a lap and lost a ton of time and 3 positions. Pitted and got some SH, coming out low down but with carracer right behind. And from there we just formed a two car train, closing the gap to the leaders from ~20 seconds to 8. In the end I had some luck in Carbonox and Joshua underfueling and Litchi putting on rains at his first pit.

Another couple of laps and I think we might have got LB, although the tires had dropped off significantly and the gap stabilised in the last 2. :indiff:

Still good to get a decent result, and fastest lap makes it all the sweeter (don't mention the bump drafting ). :D

But Monaco next (if we move to 3pm GMT). And I'm always off the pace there. :scared:
