So, can I claim Mich as a teammate :D

Anyway, good race but I'm getting tired of losing races because of the worlds slowest pit road driver.

I crashed in Q2 so I was happy with anything in the 50s.

I got a good start and tried to get Dax before T2 but I couldn't make the cold tires stick. I got a good run a few laps later and the warm tires held. Then I dragged Michouw back in. I couldn't get around him as we used the same lines so I figured a pit stop would work.

After that nightmare I lost my rhythm. I got it back and but I was 6 second behind. My tires started to fall off so I could only run low 50s but Michouw and Dax started battling giving me a shot.

Just as I caught Dax my tires said goodbye and I was stuck in 3rd. At least I got fastest lap (49.59X).

Right, here goes a long post:

Result, tables will come tomorrow:

Poor race for me, was stupidly slow in T2. Could match the leaders in T1 and T3 but was a second or more off the pace in T2. However I've now got my least favourite track on the calendar out of the way, and now onto one of my favourites. :mischievous: Did a few laps there after the race and boy o' boy does it feel good there. Got down to a 2:06.3 on my 3rd lap, so with more practise and less fuel 2:04s should be possible at least. 👍

Despite not particularly liking Monaco to race it, it sure does make for some good pictures. :D

Oh, and get the right number on your car Dax. :P

I know there are a couple of errors, Mich not being in the teams' and not shown as having pole, but the rest should be correct. 👍

EDIT: Oh and Vivid being out of place. :ouch:

The drivers championship looks close. Hopefully I can make a run at it in the next two races. Is it too early to congratulate CarJack Racing on their team championship?

As predicted I've got down to a 2:04.943. Dropped .276 in the turn before the banking running slightly onto the grass and didn't nail turn 2, so there's .3-4 to find. 👍

EDIT: Couple of things:

1. I take it we're using the longer pit exit (or at least hope so)?

2. Might it be worth considering a rolling start? Or having an artificial grid on the straight before the start line?

Oh no we lost third in the team champs while I were away :( I better make up for it this weekend then. :)

Every race I've done at Daytona road we used the extra pit exit for safety reasons so I would expect it to be the same here.

You definitely have a shot, although I expect to be at least competitive at the next two tracks. And it's still theoretically possible to lose the Team championship. Some seriously unfortunate things would have to happen. But as always, those things can happen...

We could do a rolling start, not sure how we would line it up properly.

Well it's definitely between you and Brando unless both of you mess up big time, however the battle for 3rd is even closer.

The main problem is that there aren't any grid spots (I think), you have to start on the banking (so everyone'll spit out sideways) and you're then all filtering into a very tricky corner. :scared:

And has anyone else done any lap times?

EDIT: Now down to a 2:04.740, which I don't think I'll beat, have .050 to come in T1 and about .070 on the bus stop entry, but I nailed the bus stop exit and T2 so I don't think I'll get it.

EDIT 2: Scrap that ^, just did a 2:04.674 but was .2-3 up on the 2:04.740 at the split before the bus-stop and came out only .060 up. :irked:

Stranger things have happened. Just a Laguna pit glitch away, hah. The battle for 3rd could go any which way, who knows. 2 races is a lot of points up for grabs.

When I said 'not sure how we'd line it up properly', I meant because of the lack of grid spots. Although I didn't say that for some reason. The banking start is tough, and the first corner doesn't help.

I've done some laps, but was terribly slow. I doubt I'll match those.

I have a room up for a couple hours running Daytona Road Course and maybe some Laguna Seca:

edit: room closed

I'm sure you'll get faster, there's always time to find at this track and the car feels amazing here. It really suits the longer, faster tracks. :D

At tracks like Monaco and Tsukuba the car just didn't fit, too much mid corner front end drift which just made getting the power down awkward. :ill:

Of course it helps that I do actually enjoy this track. :sly:

I think a single file rolling start might be the way to go. That way you won't get the same build up of cars going into the first corner and you won't get so many people trying to go four wide as you would with a grid or double file start.... :scared:

Not sure if ill be able to make the last 2 races. Got work next week and them ive got a golf competition.

Monster run through the bus-stop for a 2:04.597, but was .2 down on previous best at 3rd split. Just need to put the two laps together now.

Well, we hardly want that. You definitely have the pace to win, and thus you probably will - and you'll deserve it.
