I would like to be a guides editor, please.

I would like to mainly edit the information on the cars, as I have driven just about every car in GT4, and will be able to add information, reviews, tuning information, as well as images.

Thanks a bunch! :)

Now, how do I get "Guides Editor" under my name?

This might help:

Have you read the Email that Jordan Sent you?

If so follow the instructions and in my GTplanet-edit profile and go to the bottom of the section where:
helpom6.jpg
is

I hope this helps:D

I'm not sure how much help I could be, but I'd gladly volunteer to edit sections on car specifications, add pictures and reviews, and some tuning information. I have over 800 cars in my GT4 garage and I can honestly say I've driven the majority of them, so I have loads of settings that I'd gladly share with the GTPlanet community, including drift settings. ;)

I would apply to continue posting car settings. I also am good tuning individual gear ratios.I would also like apply since I don't mind helping out and most of the time I'm free. Also I tend to be a bit interested in everything so I contribute a bit to everything where contributions can be made, and more often, they can.

Since the GT4 car database appears to be a bit incomplete, I'd like to work on that area in particular.I'd fill up those empty spots on the general GT4 guides such as "car details", were to get them, how much they cost, and so on.

when you are ready

I would like to apply to be an editor for the game guides.

I have been playing Gran Turismo since the very first game which I never owned but always rented. When Gran Turismo 2 was announced I hurried to get a copy and I remember I got the last copy in the store around the time it first came out! Since then I've been hooked to the series and through my time playing the game some 9 or so years, I've been knowledgeable about the cars and their personalities (Although I admit, I'm not a tuning geek, I leave that to the professionals).

Most of edits I plan to be in the GT4 car list. I'm a commentary geek and unfortunately, most of the cars don't have any reader opinoins or notes! Those that do are usually the more popular models. Since I've been diversifying my game in GT4 by racing with all kinds of vehicles, I want to put some of that into the edits I make in the Readers Opinion sections. Also I like to spot out some detail, so I'll fix any spelling errors or typos if I see 'em.

I understand that my first post is right here in this section. I admit, I am not a big forum goer. Most forums I go to I may have a presence in for a time but then I just can't commit myself to it further. however, I've always been a reader of GTPLanet and I would like to help its exhaustive amount of guides by contributing to them and this appears to be the only way to apply!

Thanks for the consideration.

I'm applying because I feel that I can contribute with productive setups for a wide range of cars in various guises, be it 'drift', race or high speed; quite a few of which I've posted on another site to a good reception and may also benefit other users here.

My setups also include 'niche' and largely unused cars and particularly for high speed setups, are up made and kept up to date since I regularly produce runs for the popular "Three Hundred Miles Per Hour" thread.

Being a big GT fan, I was a little disturbed to see the lack of GT5 and Prologue info.

Then I saw G.Ts thread for updating it.

I don't want to blow my own trumpet so I won't.

All I say is this...

If I was given 'Guides Editor' status, I would get it done to high
standards and keep it updated when needed.

Thanks for your interest and support, Jay, please check your email!

Thanks for the quick reply Jordan, 👍

Though there seems to be a problem with that email account. :indiff:

I've just changed the address if you could re-send please.

I've got several days off work from the weekend, so I'll make a start then.

I would like to apply to be a Guides Editor for the game guides.

I love cars, know lots about them, And I also know lots about GT. I have also played all the GT games, not completed them, but have played them, lots! So, you should'nt need a better reason than that! :) 👍

I would love to contribute to the GT guides. It appears that a lot of stuff is missing, and even though I'm only a casual hardcore GT fan, I'm sure I could fill in some of the blanks. I could probably get a good amount of GT1 and 2 screenshots.

It’s TB who guides me here from https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=112865. Here I want to thanks him/her again.

I love Gran Turismo very much. It’s true that I’m not a very good race driver for I can’t acquire all gold medals in licences hall. But I want and maybe I could be a good car collecter.

The car list in “Guides” is completely perfect, and I have used it for several times. (BTW: I don’t know whether I can post an Excel here which is about the compare of car list of several versions. The data is from the “Guides”, and I make it.) To be continued, every specified car's page is too simple.

I have a mind to make encyclopedia of every data of every cars in Gran Turismo 4. And after making 36 cars, I find it a huge project. What’s more, I want to find a platform to share my collections to others.

My friends have told me that GTPLANET.NET is the biggest and most professional website about Gran Turismo Series in the world. So I come here.

I have deleted the GT4 game record in my PS2 recently, in order to make a clean begin. Here is an example of what I want to make and to post in the “Guides”. That very car is the first car in My Gran Turismo 4 World of the latest beginning.

About the car:
Civic is a compact cars manufactured by Honda. It was introduced in July 1972. The Eighth-generation Civic was introduced in 2005 as a 2006 model, and it is still on sale. The Honda has announced that the Civic will receive a minor facelift for 2009.

The first Civic Type R, EK9 chassis, was introduced in 1997, which is based on the sixth generation Honda Civic (begin sold in 1996). The Honda Civic Type R featured major reductions in weight as well as improved engine output and a number of other changes and additions designed to improve performance.
This model was equipped with a very powerful engine – the B16B. The B16B engine boasted one of the highest power output per litre of all time for an NA engine with 185ps from a 1.6L.

Except for all things above, I have photoed every car in Marunouchi. Every car has six photographs. I think that these standard photograph may best suit the encyclopedia.

Hi lcz13,

I'm sorry, but I am closing the Guides in its current form and they will be removed from the site by the end of the year. As a result, I have closed registration for new editors, as any more contributions may not make it over to the new system we will be using. Nevertheless, thank you for your interest and enthusiasm, and I will be sure to keep you in mind when the Guides are re-launched early next year.
