Or continue to let faster drivers put huge gaps on slower drivers. I believe in giving credit where its due but I could see a runaway leader with this.

EDIT

Just so I'm not complaining without a solution here's my idea.

Change fast lap and pole position points to 1 per.

Add positions gained/loss points. +1 for every position gained during a race. -1 for every loss. Within class obviously. This could however create a sandbagging issue.
As for gaining points or losing points for position gained or lost, the only real issue with that is how much time it takes to sort through everyones data

Good suggestions that will be taken under consideration.
Please keep in mind, this was the first week of this newly created series. It's not perfect, but that is where your feedback plays a huge role in helping to shape and form this series.

This point system may have had a few upsets but like Nick said this is only the first season and if we all don't want it for next season, it will be changed as I'm sure other things will be changed and other things will be added. I would like to point out the main reason I thought it would be a good idea and that was because if someone had a bad race but still got a fastest lap it would keep them in the mix as it clearly did for me. Until we do make changes hopefully this can motivate everyone to pull a little more out of themselves and push their limits even further

I understand that’s why I wanted to get my initial thoughts out. I definitely agree with giving points for pole and fast lap. Just not 5 because I know someone like me would be a long shot for getting those points more so than a win. So the super fast guys are going to put huge gaps on everybody else. Not that they don’t deserve the points it’s just less points should keep it tighter.

I can definitely see that side of it and I’ll be giving it my best shot for sure and see how it plays out. I’m not saying changes should be made immediately. I just wanted to share what my initial thoughts were.

@NASCARNATE91 we appreciate the feedback. Part of what makes ARL unique is getting input from our driver pool. It’s the drivers that make the series and we deeply value all input.

@NASCARNATE91 I intend to get this series running thanks to the input and involvement of everyone that participates. I wouldn't want to run a series knowing that people weren't happy and I wouldn't expect anyone to want to run that. This season will definitely show us the mistakes that were made and the fine details that were overlooked but at least we have a foundation

Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join ARL:

We run a clean league by enforcing a penalty system . We also expect all of our drivers to know how to race clean and respect others on the track. Please if this is something that you cannot follow, then this is not the league for you. Once that is understood, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. Review ALL of the first post of this thread, paying extra attention to the Race Night Layout, Qualifying Procedure, and Race Night Procedures!

2. Review the current car list and post a reply here in thread that you have read and understand the first post, Choose your Gr.3 and your Gr.1 for the season, your PSN and attach the following GTPlanet names so we can make sure everything is in order and get you on the Grid!

@TexasJDC @Nick Cannella @Herimopp89 @Jw_wk1010 @Ryan Kirk @Neutty @Alltrac185

3. Review the schedule and Confirm by Monday afternoon at 8 pm EST..

4. All of our lobbies are set to Friends only, so on the day of the race find your lobby that you have been assigned to, and make sure that you are friends with the host of that lobby!

5. Race Clean and most importantly, have FUN!

During the week we run a number of
different events, we encourage all to join as many as possible.
