I saw the most amazing malicious compliance to a blue flag that I think I've ever seen! Scared the **** out of me, lol.

Still had fun!

I'd rather sacrifice myself to the Blue Flag than take one of ya with me xD Sorry if I got in anyones way I was flailing :lol::lol::lol:

Come back next Wednesday. That’s gonna be a hoot!
Besides last night was good practice for you for Saturday

I'll make an attempt, ill confirm by this weekend if its possible :D Yah it was really all about prep for saturday, and man did it wake me up!! I needed that big time!

Team Mazda motto: If you can't pass em, smash em!

Or so I've heard.

**Whsipers** ****, he's on to us

Im so sorry, i sucked so bad... If I participate again i wont be that bad
Don't sweat it. This group put up with me for months, and believe it or not I was the only one to file incident reports on me. I am very pleased with my progress over time, I'm now down to only 2 or 3 major incidents per race. Wednesday was one of my best nights in weeks. Looking forward to seeing you on track soon.

I only put up with you because we can talk about the Manitoba Moose.

aka a "Swamp Donkey” in some parts including here in northern Ontario. The moose that is. not @CANOWORMS1 .....

and yes @SydViscus don't sweat it. I've only been in 3 races with these guys thus far...but a pretty laid back group I've found. We all feel bad if we do something stupid that affects another racer. (if i know i've caused an incident, i pull over and make sure the affected driver goes by me - its just good etiquette) it happens. the thing to remember in a room like this - its not done intentionally (unless *insert driver name here* had it comin' lol). That's what makes these rooms sooooo much better than the wreckfest/goon show you find on the daily races....its those wreckfests that the dailys often are, that brought me (most of us? all of us?) to a league such as this.

happy motoring, and happy Friday boys and girls!

A couple of Moose fans, I can respect that. Where you at in northern ON? Tell me yer close to Moonbeam thats my favourite place !!!!

Im about half way through my first Gr.3 saturday season, and I can definitely attest to that!! Great group, great racing, just wish I had more time to compete in more series but dont we all lol

I like the Moose though affiliation. My home ECHL team is Tulsa Oilers and we were once affiliated with Winnipeg Jets(another team I really like) in turn meant that our good players went up to Manitoba in the AHL while moving up the ranks trying to make it to NHL. Since then The Blues have been our new affiliate team but I still keep up with the Moose as I still like the team a lot.

Confirmation for week 2 is now open.

I'm tentative for this one, no real experience racing in circle tracks so I'm going to make sure I'm not a liability before I confirm. Ill let yah know by tonight !

If there isnt one already ill probably have a practice room set up around 9pm est. i can get around the track - i see difficulty with passing - seems i lose momentum like crazy as soon as i move off the ‘preferred’ line ...would love a few laps with other cars - to get that figured out...

No worries man. Its always a blast on the ovals. I think most of us know and expect some legitimate bumping. Of course nothing intentional or malicious.
It'll be fun.

I think it will help that the cars aren't super powerful so reaction times are a bit easier, but thats good to know ! It seems like it will be a really fun race

Passing is very do-able. It might take 1.5 to 2 laps occasionally. Use the preferred line to keep your momentum up wait for little windows of opportunity to pop up via other cars, the driver ahead has a little mess up, or you get in and out of the turn faster. Use what little draft you have to your advantage. Sometimes its faster to not be right on the bumper of the car ahead going into the turn but rather coming out of it.

Short and sweet high banked circle tracks like this are actually a lot of fun to race. The racing can be very good a lot of the time. Always keeps the driver on their toes with so many people always around you. That is what makes them challenging.

edit: Also, this is a 5th gear track with this car. As long as you are keeping your momentum up there is no need to shift down to 4th. If you were currently shifting down to 4th for every turn you are killing a lot of your speed. Throttle management will aid in your momentum.

Awesome thanks Moby !!! Really appreciate the tips, should definitely help  Most importantly on setting up overtakes, makes sense but wasn't something I wasn't really thinking of!

I've been in 5th mostly my main issue is momentum carrying me into the outside wall on exit, and I'm afraid of putting the death squeeze on a car passing high and on the outside.

EDIT: Basically massive understeer from apex through exit
