Thanks!

You can try

C 3 5
E 5 1

For a more planted feel at high speeds, but it also has a bit more understeer. I will take a look at the springs later too, I think I might have calculated them wrong, and I think that that might be the way forwards rather than the dampers.

Cheers from GA to NZed:cheers:

Will try that out... really wish you could Copy/Paste tunes from A-B-C... will let ya know after I chase some more Germans round the ring in it...

Cheers,

Audi RS6 Avant '02

Not to be confused with the '08 RS6, which I believe has over 1000hp! This car was a real problem child. I started this car back in December; I had what I considered a pretty decent tune for it, went to sleep, and realized that it was total crap the next day. I ended up changing it in this way 4 or 5 times. I think it is pretty solid now (no, really). Handling is very AWD, drive accordingly to get the most out of it. Best I managed was a mid 1:25 around Seca on SS. Love the hard-edged metallic exhaust note; a very German assurance of quality.

TVR Cerbera Speed 12 '00

The legends about this car are numerous and hilarious. This car was originally planned as a race car, with some road versions built for homologation. It was going to be the fastest, most ridiculous road car ever built. When TVR first built the engine and tested it, it broke their dyno. Its actual exact power output remains a mystery. The block was made from steel. During a track test, EVO writers noted that the seat was mounted so low in the car that it was nearly impossible to see out of it! There is an interview with Peter Wheeler in another issue of EVO, who was the former owner of TVR. When the prototype was completed, he drove it home for the night and knew within about 600 yards that it "simply could not be used as a road car." Occasionally (obviously) they would get customers interested in buying one, and he actually had to talk them out it. (I hope it went something like "If you buy this car, you will die.")

This is a big, 450 meter Shai-Hulud from the deep desert. I know it looks insane on paper, but it is a really engrossing challenge to drive this thing, and it can be done! Obviously careful throttle control is very important, but also be aware of how fast this car is and plan your braking accordingly.

*Update 3/24/14* changes to dampers. Car is much easier to drive.

Isuzu Bellett 1600 GT-R '69

I imagine that Bellett is in the same marketing rubbish language as words like Altima, Camry, Alero and Maibatsu Monstrosity (:P). Took a minute to figure this one out, but lessons learned will be used on the Isuzu 117 and possibly Alfa GTV shortly.

Ooooooh baby I've got a fever and I've got it bad - and the only prescription is more cowbell. I am hooked on tuning and driving this car. It demands to be driven a certain way; and the more precisely you drive it, the more it rewards you. In turn, that pursuit of perfection makes you want to keep pounding around for hours. It is mesmerizing.

So, for those of you unfamiliar with the idiosyncrasies of driving a Porsche, here's how it works- get almost all of your braking done in a straight line, turn in early and gently apply the throttle. Trust that the car's traction will slingshot you around the corner. Never ever EVER lift off the throttle completely if you are not going in a straight (and I mean STRAIGHT) line.

I will continue to update this tune as I come to terms with this car's wonderful complexity.

2/4/15 Updated for new physics. You can actually drive this car now... :nervous:

Thanks to @Nickonen for encouraging me to persevere with tbis car.

There's nothing better than a car that comes from the factory with a water-methanol injection system. Wonder how often you needed to top this up, or better yet, how many owners forgot. Also makes a ridiculous amount of power for an EJ.

Suzuki SWIFT Sport '07

I once went to a metal show with some friends of mine where there were some kids who were hardcore dancing. One of my buddies thought it would be hilarious to go up to the edge of the pit and start making fun of them. One of the kids came out of nowhere and gave him a SWIFT kick in the cherries. There is nothing funnier than a SWIFT and unsportsmanlike kick below the belt. The best part was that the approach, delivery and aftermath seemed to unfold before me in slow motion. Epic.

Anyway when I saw the words "SWIFT Sport," I immediately thought of this and laughed.

EVO likes this car a lot.

A gentleman driver's car. With 1221hp. (...must listen to Rush backwards.) Has terrific manners despite it's uncouth power output. Also, along with the BTR, it gave me a little insight into damper settings; so very glad I did this car.

CVTs are the worst invention in the history of mankind. ever. It's like whoever invented them hated cars and hated the people who love cars so much that he was like: "Right, I'm going to come up with something that sucks all the joy and excitement out of motoring (or just plain sucks) and makes a car with 200hp seem like it has 5. Trolololol. [waves double middle fingers at the world]"

Seriously, **** that guy.

No one is safe either. Don't believe me? Here is a video of David Coulthard when he was like, 12; testing a Williams-Renault F1 car that has been ruined by equipped with a CVT.

Have you ever heard a worse noise in your life? I would rather listen to an auto-tuned recording of someone with a bad case of dysentery, that someone has then added slap-back delay and a touch of reverb to; than listen to that noise. (Sorry XS!)

This car also has the particularly unpleasant characteristic of shutting off the engine when braking, so no engine braking. You really have to be deliberate with the brakes and steering almost all the way in. The Honda Today G, with 77hp, will run circles around this thing. The only positive thing I have to say about this car is that the suspension is ok.

Honda ACCORD Coupe '88

Way faster and better to drive than it should be. One of my friends had one of these with 350,000 miles on it that had only ever had the clutch and belts replaced. I saw another one at a car meet recently that had been ratted up nicely. It had graffiti and chalk all over it and it smoked a little, but it sounded pretty good and the stance was terrific. Accords are not really my thing typically, but this one had so much character that it was hard not to like. Wish I had had a decent camera with me.....

Update 9/29/14 updated for new physics. Added Nurburgring(!) transmission. Troll away friends....

How many more words and acronyms can you fit into this car's name? Are we sure that this car is not secretly a Subaru?

CVTs are the worst invention in the history of mankind. ever. It's like whoever invented them hated cars and hated the people who love cars so much that he was like: "Right, I'm going to come up with something that sucks all the joy and excitement out of motoring and makes a car with 200hp seem like it has 5.

One of the cars (an Audi) I planned to post tonight is being a real pain. Lol I am literally falling asleep trying to test this thing (I just nodded off halfway down the corkscrew....:scared:) Haven't forgotten, just a little delayed. :P

I just cranked up the I Initial torque and acceleration sensitivity and see drifts like a champion...Volvo swagger

Lol. I have been so close to buying a used 740 turbo off of craigslist a few times! Sadly they were all clapped out. Thanks for the tip, I'll try it out. Mind sharing your settings?

I just love flogging rental cars; so imagine my delight when one of these popped up as a rental car option on a recent trip. Every car magazine on Earth (and, of course, I read them all....;)) raved about this little car's handling when it came out. Unfortunately, when I got there those desgraciados only had automatics. And not like one of those nice, modern five speed autos either; it was a four speed slushbox from hell. Also, it looked like somebody else had already had the same idea as me, as the E-brake was completely worn out!

Lighter and less powerful than the S16. So kind of like a French Lotus, really.

Except that it isn't.

Dat inline-6 is just ferocious. Almost bought an E36 M3 once. Even in that car, with 105,000 miles on the clock and down 100hp, this motor was just intoxicating. I bought the RX-8 instead. What a moron.

I will have one one day.
