Sorry about the crappy footage, Ubi always compresses their videos really, really badly.

Pshaw. He's an Assassin.Fighting with a bear could be tricky though...
Nice find indeed.
Pshaw. He's an Assassin.
But seriously, look at the fluidity of the fighting and freerunning towards the end of the clip. Reminds me of Uncharted.
Yep, it's clear that Ubi took some hints from other game devs with the fluidity. All the other AC games up until this one looked very...linear. All the animations didn't blend together like these seem to in the trailer for ACIII.The Devs have learnt a lesson from NaughtyDog's PS3 exclusive franchise, which is Uncharted of course!! One of my favourite games for the PS3!
Assassin's Creed 3 - E3 2012 Official Trailer
True indeed. 👍Very Patriotic!! Awesome trailer, non the less.
OK, can we stop with this "patriotic" stuff, please? You're going to be killing both Colonists and Redcoats in the game. In the first gameplay trailer that I posted a while back, Connor says, "On this land, I am torn. Part of me wants to fight and repel all outsiders. The other part of me, is the outsider." This is referring to the fact that he is half Mohawk, half British, so he doesn't know who to fight. He also said, "In the name of Liberty, I will fight the enemy, regardless of their allegiance." He's saying that he fights Templars, and only Templars. He is unbiased when it comes to Britain vs. America.
Anyway, there's 2 more gameplay trailers to come over the course of E3, Alex Hutchinson said it himself.
From what I've gathered it's coming out on the 30th.jcmLooks great so far, but is it coming out October 30th or October 31st? I've seen both on the trailers and it's confusing me.
To me the "British mindset" or whatever back then seems more Templar-like than "A country by the people, for the people," which sounds much more Assassin-like to me. But maybe George was actually a Templar and wanted to start a "New World" or something by helping form a new country. I'm sure Famine would have something to say about this...TygerAnd sure, it's Templars (though I don't think *all* redcoats were derived from a centuries old society of knights, do you?) but as the majority of the Templars were actually from France, it still seems a bit skewed somehow. Oh well...I guess German and Japanese players have to deal with being "the enemy" in games all the time, would just be interesting if the enemy were the Americans for once![]()
There should be more hype, yes, but it doesn't really surprise me, it is an AC game, so naturally people are a bit reluctant. It's just a very unique series, and I believe that is part of the problem. People don't usually like to venture for from the norm/try new things. I bought Brotherhood totally on a whim, not knowing what it was about at all, and I was reluctant about it the whole time. But, I eventually fell in love with it, and bought the rest of the series.AC3 is looking amazing so far. Definite day one purchase for me. Surprised that there isn't more hype surrounding this one.

We're trying to keep it as fluid and dynamic as possible. So the way we described it early on was that we're a relatively mass-market game so we can't make ridiculously hard combat, but we can make it hard to be amazing at it.
So you can stumble your way through 90% of fights as a casual player, but if you want to run into a fight, assassinate a guy on the move, immediately begin a kills chain, pick everybody off, switch between pistols and close combat moves and basically wipe everybody out without ever being touched, this should be quite tricky.
So we worked a lot on the archetypes, we worked a lot on base combat strategy of when you should use which move. We took out the need to lock onto anybody with the left trigger to keep it really, really fluid and we added running assassinations so you can charge enemies with any weapon.
We have multiple enemies attacking simultaneously now, so there's lots of little things that we put in. You can kick people off buildings - there's a new one for you.
Good Lord, $120?!? *flips table* That's double the price of the game. Granted, the statue and flag are cool, but there's no way I'm paying an extra $60 for those things. They could've at least thrown in all of the preorder bonuses. Still wouldn't justify the price, though.*snip*
Videogame firm Ubisoft is moving into the film business with an adaptation of its blockbuster title "Assassin's Creed" – sidestepping the Hollywood movie machine by producing the film itself.
