That's what I've been thinking. It's got to be something to do with the game recalculating something in these instances. Hope they are aware and can fix it.
Yeah - and/or I should get good and stop thrashing about

Ok, pretty quirky design choice but good to know. 👍
I've never run my own AC Server, so I never looked into how they're configured. I suppose I should, just in case I want to set up my own private server some day....Well, anyway, my question is: When someone sets up a public server for GT3 racing at Spa-Francorchamps, does the server Admin dictate how many cars of each model can be used in total? Usually when I join an open server it might have a list of 12 different cars to choose from with a maximum of only 2 for each model. In a way, I actually like that limitation because it promotes diversity, but like you said, if you just spent an hour practicing with the Nissan GT-R GT3 and hop in the lobby too late you might not be able to choose one.Yeah, it's the same way on the PC and it can be a pain. With the ever growing list of GT3 cars you can often only fit maybe 3 of each model on any given tracks, so if you practiced in one car and show up late to find they're already all taken you're hosed.

I could've swore this thread was for console talk...

So, judging by the pre-emptive comment from Marco about the Porsche pack and Sony/Microsoft, I'm guessing we won't see it on consoles until November, and there's still no word on the Red Pack.
No worries, we will report back and give impressions in the meantimeSo, judging by the pre-emptive comment from Marco about the Porsche pack and Sony/Microsoft, I'm guessing we won't see it on consoles until November
Its true that MS and Sony will have to approve the next patch and the dlc first, but other games get their updates simultanesly on all plattforms. Im affraid console players will have to wait a couple of days, but surely / hopefully (!!!) not till november.

It will be glorious!Oh, I'm already expecting unanimously glowing reviews from the PC contingent. Just as surely as the sun rises...

Somehow I overlooked this post. And I have to say it makes all the difference. The Price for the Red Pack on Steam is also 9,99, not 7,99.
Yes but that is mostly to address the problems different PCs present. It should be simpler on console. Not that they do anything truly stupid like a mid life update or anything like that!I think Kunos should keep the console builds behind the PC build - not just because Sony/Microsoft take longer to approve updates, but because we always find a few errors, problems here or there whenever we get a new update. Fortunately, we can get fixes for those minor problems right away. Heck, wasn't there a version recently where we got like 3 hotfixes in a week, or something like that? Why not wait until everything is straightened out and then drop it on Sony & Microsoft's lap for distribution?
Considering how much it costs to post updates, I don't see the console players getting those same hotfixes that we will receive. So now they have to wait until the next actual version update? Or am I mistaken on how fixes can be pushed on consoles?
I don't think it's still expensive on consoles to patch their games, especially with the rise of indie games that are cheap and have low revenue.
Microsoft made 360 patches free, and they said things would change. Keep in mind that Xbox also now has early access titles that can need a lot of patches. I believe they dropped the price to a very low cost or dropped it for some devs completely.
First Party Devs can push out 2 patches within Days. Fallout 4 did the same lately.
So to me it just seems that small devs and publishers are just pushed to the end of the line, but don't have to pay a fortune.

Porsche Panamera G2, Silverstone classic and a bunch of DLC PorschesAny news on what the next patch will have?
Maybe the odd red pack or something.Porsche Panamera G2, Silverstone classic and a bunch of DLC Porsches

Yet when I google it most sources say it's free now this gen. I believe it's free for smaller publisher, who just have to wait longer and it costs a small feel to big publisher but who get prioritized. On consoles there is a fee to process an update

And especially with MS push to line up PC and Console Gaming it would be very likely. That the small Devs which long wait times try to squeeze anything into a patch makes sense that way as well.
Sony also has its Store flooded with low quality indie games and I don't think they charge any of those Devs either
As the update was submitted to the console companies last week,
Source? Marco said last week that the Porsche pack was waiting authorization (likely from Porsche, not Sony/MS) but I haven't seen anything saying the newest console patch has been submitted to Sony/MS. Maybe I missed it.
Yes yes lol...But game fixes? With the 1st patch, we were told weeks before (almost from release day) what fixes were in 1.03, this month it seems more "hush hush"...........The DLC is nice, but after a while loses it's novelty, seeing we can't race the cars against each other online like we want to. Hot lapping is fun, but racing against your friends is even better! 👍
