Should be a real gem on 80's or older rubber and make for some great racing against human or AIBest version of Silverstone ever. Old school F1 territory.
Yeah that Season Pass and the console DLC has been a big mess so far. I can't make promises on their behalf but it wouldn't surprise me if they make it "right" at some point down the road once it all sorts out. Also wouldn't surprise me if the Porsche content was significantly more on console, which, while maybe justifiable by internal accounting for cost reasons, might not make a lot of sense to the buying public. Speculation of course.I don't want to be that guy, but am I the only one scratching my head, wondering why did I pay 29,99 Eur for a Season Pack which content doesn't come up to that value separately...?
(Japanese Pack + Red Pack + Porsche Pack = 4,99 + 7,99* + 15,99* = 28,97 Eur)
I could wrap my head around the fact that I was buying the Season Pass for the Porsche Pack alone, and have the Red and Japanese basically for free - which is what should have happened in the first place for the consoles -, but with this latest pack now costing 15 Eur for the PC it really leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Do I really care about a dozen of Euros? Fortunately, I don't. But really, add this to the whole mess of the pre-order packs/DLC, and my confidence starts shaking a bit.
And because I care about this game/team, it's also sad to see them hurt themselves with such stupid, little things.
* Ok, estimated values for consoles. But they can't be that far off.
I think you made a mistake : Porsche pack is not 15.99 but 3 x 6.99 = 20.97I don't want to be that guy, but am I the only one scratching my head, wondering why did I pay 29,99 Eur for a Season Pack which content doesn't come up to that value separately...?

Remember that on console they have to pay both Sony/MS and 505 for the sales while on PC it is just steam, they then have to pay fees for putting dlc on the servers and for rolling out updates, they are paying more on console and getting less return from it due to more stakeholders and a smaller core audience. Its just an unfortunate thing for them to deal with.I don't want to be that guy, but am I the only one scratching my head, wondering why did I pay 29,99 Eur for a Season Pack which content doesn't come up to that value separately...?

So (Japanese Pack + Red Pack + Porsche Pack = 4,99 + 7,99* + 20.97 = 33.95 Eur)

Yes, it's a mistake. Each Porsche dlc pack costs 6.99 €. If you pay each pack separately it costs you more than the season pass. The small season pass is only for PC. Your logic is a bit broken IMONo mistake.
Even if this smaller season pass for the Porsche packs doesn't exist for the consoles, it only makes sense to use the 15 Eur value to make comparisons with our bigger Season Pass. It's about paying for a whole pack (and before even having it).
Which is exactly the reason why I bought a 30€ pass in advance. If you pay each pack separately it costs you more than the season pass.
Off course, i did the same. But in your previous post you stated buying separately is cheaper, or did i misunderstood you ?Which is exactly the reason why I bought a 30€ pass in advance.

It doesn't even matter anymore, because we both already have to season pass. You see, either you tell me that each of the single Porsche packs will be more expensive for the consoles (and I accept that) or you can't apply the 6,99 Eur per pack value for the consoles and then not apply the same discount (28%) for getting them on a Pass (especially since the console pass is a bigger, more expensive one).
But let's have this discussion further on, when the final prices/packs for the consoles are announced. Especially since I need to get back to work.
we will do a hotlap challenge to battle it out
You're on.When the Porsche pack is out, we will do a hotlap challenge to battle it out
I can already confirm the TT challenge for November will feature a PorscheIt doesn't even matter anymore, because we both already have to season pass.

I gave the online servers a try on PS4 yesterday. The rooms may be fixed but I had some good fun racing random players around the tourist version of the Nordschleife. Maybe I was lucky but I came across less clueless fools than I often did in GT5/6.
My question: Why are some cars greyed out before entering a lobby? I suspect it has something to do with regulations but I didn't find it very clear at first glance.
Then don't be that guy. The Price for the Red Pack on Steam is also 9,99, not 7,99.I don't want to be that guy
First combo when Porsche pack is out : Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.0 @ Silverstone Classic.I enjoy Silverstone Classic in PCars so I am pleased to see it coming soon to Assetto Corsa too. Some of those lovely new Porsches will be getting a shakedown there.

I planned to make the 917/30 my first go, but then I would get killed to death and not be able to drive all the other ones. So I'll probably go with the more tame Clubsport GT4 first, should be able to survive that one.
Off topic, but I might as well... if you are a PC user, the Group 5 pack on RaceRoom is a whole lot of fun. Some insane 4th gen Gr.5 monsters in there, and very decent physics.I'll probably drive the 935 first. The Group 5 era may be my favorite thing in vintage motorsports. Still undecided on the track but Spa is a serious contender.
Usually it's because they're already used. The allotted versions of the car is already taken.

Edit: this is what Sector 3 put together:

That's what I've been thinking. It's got to be something to do with the game recalculating something in these instances. Hope they are aware and can fix it.After driving a bit more with different cars, I noticed that the frame rate drops not only with contact, but when you lock up and damage the tires.
Curious, is it the game recalculating the handling model? It does not happen if you damage the transmission but that does not affect the handling.
Sorry if this was already brought up.
