I could have swore that my e30 drift was 100,000 and the bronze for z4 at imola was like 1:42. I gave up on even trying the special events (aside from quick races) because I think they are impossible for the average joe

Just checked the imola event, I was wrong it is 1:48 for bronze, 1:45 for gold. But still I think I tried that and was still nearly 4 or 5 seconds from bronze. Also checked the trophies list and there are people who have gotten gold on all special events

They must be absolute racing wizards because I know that even after months of trying to shave a second here a second there I would be no where near. I mean, without sounding arrogant I consider myself to be pretty darn good at hot laps. On Forza 6's Rivals leaderboards I 'm quite often in the Top 10% or higher, out of perhaps 40000 entries or so, with no modifications and all assists off except for the clutch (manual gears but with a controller can't do manual clutch too)

However AC really is harsh with their challenges. Although luckily it's not like you have to win gold in order to win a car or anything. I guess it's just rewarding when you do finally nail it :D

I just did a CLEAN sub eight minute lap of the nordschleife in the Ferrari f40, and you know what, I'm pretty gosh darn proud of myself. THAT WAS SLIPPERY

Now do it again in the Stage 3 version of the F40........... you'll have brown trousers after only pulling out of the pitlane, while still on the pit speed limiter!

I haven't been playing this game much, because it's been difficult on controller. The special event in the m3 drift version just killed me. I started playing again a day or two ago. Did the Novice series and man it's fun. The weight in the cars is great.

Then I went online (no one is ever on). It's only drift events and one nurburgring event going where people just practice. HOLY SMOKES the F40 is amazing! I'm in love!

Not sure how valid this is.. but a person reported on the official forums that a retailer he went to told him that AC on consoles is being discontinued.

There is also an online store stating the same thing..

This might be the same thing that happened to driveclub. Small print run to start, not likely to sell longterm large amount of print copies, and move to primarily a digital sales model.

This one?:

Retailers decision i suppose, i bet Kunos knew that the game was never meant to be a success on consoles (aside from with our community). The 'Race Pro' of this generation one could say?

I do hope they made a good profit out of it, and those funds will aid them to develop AC further. PCARS did do better in that regard as despite it's flaws, it was more build around a career mode and had a better marketing strategy which is something console users in general tend to look for.

As I said before, they need to re-release the game with a focus on Porsche. No other way around it.

Make it an attractive price, in January.
Then there isn't any hard competition, unlike August with F1 2016 and September with Forza Horizon 3.
Good idea, although i don't think they will re release it (who knows). Promoting the Porsche pack in itself will probably generate a surge in sales for a while though 👍

Yeah that would be the one. I understand now physical copies being dropped.

I am just busy on those forums because I am looking (as are others) to get the online servers updated with the DLC cars and to have different settings at least.. Someone on their team should be tasked with changing the settings on the servers to add some variety. I am not expecting the private lobbies thing to happen so quickly but at least make some small progress to improve the online experience for console players. Give us some short race length rooms, some fixed setup rooms, some endurance racing rooms.. some rooms that the track changes after each race.

If it is true that the game is being pulled from shelves,no company is going to invest in further DLC,upgrades, fixing online etc. It is time consuming and costly. No sales,no one selling the game, bad news. Too bad. It's a great driving game.

If this is the case then I would expect a full refund, I've shelled out £65 for this and I cant even race my DLC on the (by name alone near enough) online mode

Let's not light the pitchforks yet guys, to be honest I'm surprised it got a physical release at all!

At the very least if it's true we have a nice little collector's item. :D
Yeah that's great. I collect real cars, not video game versions. But the sad part is. If people ask for refunds, etc. Bad news for Kunos or 505 games.

Stefano from Kunos said that the console effort is basically 2-3 people porting the PC version. That's probably smaller than most indie studios going for digital only. In other words, I'm not too worried.
Not worried? Not happy is probably a better word. I understand their a small team. It costs time and money to fix things. No sales = no money in my business. If I had to repair things that were in my quote/budget,3,4 times. I'm outta business.

Why would players ask for refunds if 505 stop producing hard copies? It literally makes no difference to your experience.

It seems a huge leap of logic to assume this means a lack of support in the future from Kunos. Pro-tip: The Steam version of Assetto Corsa is the most popular version on PC, it's hardly not been supported has it?

Not.

Well seeing you know something I don't, would you care to elaborate?
It will cost ya, i'll PM my bank account.

Nah i know as much as the next man, but this doesn't make no sense at all, the game has been released for less than 2 months and Kunos will support AC well into 2017, so why would they leave out the console version? One guy says his local games store is not selling it anymore and we're really having this discussion now?

OK let me understand comparing PC vs Console? Complete different game on PC,correct? I truly wish that this game would succeed on console. It's not close and even you said, you were surprised it was released on console. Bad business decisions. It seems to be a common trend in today's developers. Sad but true.

I do know that a lack of support in the future is possible but I'm hoping Kunos stay true to their word in the long run. :) 👍

Physics and driving experience wise it should be exactly the same (which makes up 80% of the game's attraction IMO), but yes no modding and stripped down on a lot of options on consoles for now.

Speaking of doing it right the first time: @killerjimbag - stop repeatedly double-posting, there are Edit and Multi-quote features. Either of those works. 👍

Yeah,I agree. I played on PC for years. Don't have as much time anymore. I miss all the mods and tracks from Nascar 2003 buy Seirra Papayrus . It was a phenomenal game.
