I don't know if it's common knowledge or not but I'll share an observation I just made a few minutes ago.

I've read of people complaining about a sound bug but had never heard it. I now know why: this bug is not present when using the dash cam but is when using the cockpit cam. I usually use the dash cam...

I was driving an Abarth 500 AC at Imola.
I raced in that lobby a couple ours ago on ps4. Were we in the same race? Keep thinking i see your name online

I can confirm this.

In fact, it's the main reason why I gave up on using the cockpit view months ago and switched to dash cam.

When you say "Dash Cam" are you talking about the 2nd driver view that's inside the car, but your viewpoint is moved up really close to the gauges? I've been meaning to try it out because v1.10 has brought some changes, I believe.

That's correct. It's the close up view without the steering wheel.

Something I haven't mentioned, though, is that it's not reproducible with all cars (e.g. the 650S GT3 at Zandvoort. No sound bug in cockpit view).

It's sometimes nice living in the future. We actually got Pcars patches before those of you on the other side of the world a bunch of times that I remember lol.

Not living in Australasia is my number one excuse for being stuck in the past. Same launch time everywhere though.

I know that but patch is always out day before dlc...

The previous update on PS4 launched several days before the Japanese Pack. The free Porsche Panamera makes me think they won't release the update until tomorrow. Maybe they want all cars to be released on the 29th, but let's hope they can get it out today.

Not wanting to be negative, but i'm starting to doubt if we'll get a patch before the DLC drops now, no news from Kunos (They were going to announce what the patch on console would include/fix before release) and maybe the DLC file will include a mini patch to update the car menu screens for the new cars to show there....I hope i'm wrong!

The DLC will need the update in order to work. I believe the Porsche 918 comes with some fancy technology not supported by the current build.

They just posted on the official forum the patch notes and say it's all coming at the same time as the Porsche DLC. Nice!

(Sorry no link for now)

Aaand ninja'd!

I'd like some more in depth patch notes TBH. they're basically saying it's going from v1.0/whatever we have on consoles to 1.09 a la PC. There must've been a shedload of changes between those patches and I know I could go and find all those PC patch notes but they surely won't all apply to console.

I really want to know what work has been done to the AI other than fixing the starts, whatever that means.

Funny there's no mention about general AI behavior. It was tweaked for PC one or two updates ago.

If you're on PS4, in depth information about updates can be read by selecting update history from the AC icon on your system. Update 1.03 has more details hidden there than the official patch notes do.
