Oh...I just feel bad for the people waiting on the pack. I play on PC -- I've already got Porsche Pack 2. :D But yes, it will be on North American consoles soon enough. đź‘Ť

What the hell happened to the tyres on the Praga? They flicker between black and grey. Do a full Praga grid and check it out. Also it is much easier to drive now.

Genuine question, is that good or bad? As someone else mentioned they couldn't drift to save themselves now can drift the next day.

I haven't the faintest idea what is right or wrong.

I don't really care for that car...the Praga. I'm not sure I've driven it since the week it was originally installed. There aren't too many cars in AC that I genuinely dislike, but that's one of 'em. It drives like its on rails, but in a bad way, in my opinion. I do have a bias for street cars, so maybe that's got something to do with it. I don't know. Maybe I'll give it a drive sometime to see if my opinion has changed.

I was asking myself that question, I wasn't sure at first because I liked having to tame the beast. Having said that the Praga seamed unpredictable in that it would spin out in certain corners, which I did get to grips with for the most part. It still spins out but it's more predictable now, so I'd say it's better. Also the Abarth AC is easier to drive now too, that too seamed to randomly spin out on corners even with throttle on. Haven't tried drifting as I found it impossible on DS4 so will try it tomorrow.

What about starts, are the cars too grippy with lots of wheel spin with no traction control? I always assumed wheelspin was no grip yet the cars pull away quite quickly in a straight line with lots if smoke.

Shouldn't wheel spin lots of smoke equals no grip or poor starts?

Yum!

Either that is some crazy lens distortion or that guy is seriously tall! 17:16

Cars start moving 19:00. Nice footage and no red arrows. :D

Really wish we could get false starts.

I think that was an example of a kinda tall guy next to a kinda short guy, making one look umpaloompa'ish and the other like Andre the Giant.

I got a case HAMMYite O_o

Been going around for 3-4 hours yesterday.

AI at start and overall has improved... Not yet as good as PCars but really 100000 times better than before! Sometimes it just look like they forget you are there, but now it's just taps not massive takeouts...

I think tyres and maybe brakes are a bit different now? They are ok in any case just need a bit of time to train.

There's a bit of stuttering now, i think it was a bit smoother before altought frame rates seems a bit better.

Went Online and i ended up in a decent room, quite shocking uh? And there were actually people around (maybe dlc pack effect?).

It's a big step forward for offline player, let's wait for the never-soon-enough-to-be private lobbies.

I have not tried the Praga since 1.09 arrived, in fact I have only driven the Porsches, but are the tyres acting the same as the Lotus below? A few Lotus have had this since launch and while it is a minor thing it just really odd. Can be off-putting when racing against one of the affected cars.

Wow. That's the first time I've heard about that bug. At first I thought it was the texture you get after driving into the kitty litter on a track because your tires are covered in that dust for a couple of seconds. You'd also hear the pebbles pinging around bouncing inside the wheel wells. But I don't think that's what it is. I hope it's been reported on the official forum.

Yes, there is something new with tires and brakes for sure.Go try the XBow.

I still think there is something not right with the tires. I could be wrong, but it feels like there is just a tad too much grip when the tires are still cold (I never use tire blankets). It might even be too much longitudinal grip than lateral grip. I'm not talking way too much... I could be off my rocker. It could just be the considerable difference from Tire Model 7.

A couple of observations... The Ferrari 488 GTB is more planted now and high curbs are not as lethal for GT3 cars anymore. Some cars still prefer to stay off the curbs, such as the BMW M30 Group A.

I reported it shortly after Assetto Corsa launched and did so again yesterday.

Does DLC pop up in the store at random times? If people would remember when the Japanese pack went live, they could have an indication of when to expect it today.

All DLC pack from every game, if the release day is tomorrow for example, just past midnight they show up in the PSN store.

Brakes in this car are like on/off switch. before and after the patch
Pay close attention to tire temps and your brake telemetry. You want hot tires before you get aggressive with the brakes, and if you have a tire that's cold it's at risk of locking. I've found that even staring with warmed tires, some go cold while I'm getting up to speed and may stay that way.

I've been intimidated away from driving most older cars, especially race cars because braking was hopeless. Just blowing on the brake pedal seemed to lock up tires. There was no way for me to drive aggressively, each lap just one big exercise in extreme caution while slowing down.

Things are 100% better for me now, and I'm not sure if it's improved calibration (I've got T300 with stock pedals) the new tire models being better, or just being able to see the brake application telemetry for myself. But between that stuff and knowing tire temps things have become a lot more manageable.

What's the hold up for getting this pack to American customers? I fail to see what's so difficult about distributing it to Sony so they can make it available. I thought companies would capitalize on every opportunity to earn some cash. Maybe there's some rights issue we don't know about, but I'm not really qualified to make this guess. The announcement only mentioned an exception for Asia getting it on December 6th. Let's see how this pans out when the time comes.

Usually updates come on Thursday in North America,if I'm correct. I'd say around 12 noon.

The not so funny fact is that I'm racing against these cars already

Kudos taking a page from the PD archives: share no updates or information with customers. How hard is it to just make a damn announcement about when the pack is arriving? That way we can plan our daily lives around that date/time. FFS.
