has linear torque.

Kazunori Yamauchi
“I always felt with other wheels that something was wrong – that something was off. When we actually used the torque meter to measure the torque on those other steering wheels, there were some that had a high peak but would then drop off – they would only give the torque in spikes. So we went and redesigned it so that the torque delivery is linear.

Even when you play with the wheel for hours at a time, the torque delivery will remain stable.”
I'm not sure. This sounds like the same thing:

Wow! I never saw that photo...I don't know how the heck I missed that news article here on GTP. Well, looks like I stand corrected.
Saw it in person, me want!

Understeer will probably feel more like how it should with it on Assetto Corsa.

Kicking out when downshifting from 3rd to 2nd means you aren't blipping / rev matching quite right, usually.
Tbf this was only happening to me on one particular corner on Silverstone 67. Which reminds me, anyone noticed frame rate issues on Silverstone 67 on one particular corner? This was only online on one corner every single lap. Only raced once so dont know if it was a one off.

Definitely looks a different wheel to me.

Only reason they are flickering is because my wheel had sat in a corner unused for >6 months... they'll be dusty inside and just need a clean.
With that dielectric lubricant you can put them in a corner for years gathering as many dust as they want without any problem, my G25 and G27 pedals didn't flick anymore, for years.

I'm personally waiting for the potential direct drive GT wheel from Thrustmaster before upgrading from G27
Same thoughts here. 👍

Someone told me I could use G29 pedals with the T300?
I recommend you a GTEYE spring for the brake pedal of your G27, I bought two (only sold in pairs) RC progressive springs for 20€ (the pair) years before even GTEYE existed, so I have one in my G25 and the other in the G27.
You'll be faster than with the unmodded G29 pedals (it's the same G27 spring strength, right?) as you can modulate more accurately your brakes.

I'm still faster with the G27 modded pedals than with the CSR Elite pedals I use right now, I suppose it's a question to get used to, anyway the CSR are better for heel & toe due to the short travel and the load cell.

I have a GTeye spring in my G27... and originally had the G29 wheel set up with the G27 pedals. But I switched to the G29 pedals as I was struggling to reach full brake pressure and had some flicker.

Both G27 pedals + GTeye and G29 pedals cannot reach full brake travel without serious foot pressure - enough pressure that it pushes my WSP away from me. Would be fine with a full rig, but I don't have that (or have the space for one!).

Maybe you can mod your WSP if you sit on a chair, attaching the WSP base to the chair legs.
You don't need full brake travel anyway, I don't go beyond 80% or 90% brakes.

Does anyone have any tips for how to cure the understeer in the longtail 962? It requires SO much turn on the wheel and even then the push you get when you even go near the throttle just takes so much laptime away... I love the short tail car and actually on all the circuits I've driven both cars on so far that's been the faster one despite having less boost available...

Lol! Reading the Assetto Corsa forum...

Traks1
Really?. Who woulda thunk it?.

The new kiddies playground moves from GT3 at Spa to F1 at Spa. Run away, avoid, refrain and desist from entering those lobbies if you care for your sanity!. I guarantee, pulling your fingernails out one by one will be more fun...unless you are 12 years old ofc. Custom lobbies can't come soon enough :D

p.s on topic. Loving it. The dlc's that is.

The thing with public lobbies is that yes, you can get involved in all the stupid stuff people get up on there, but if you're smart enough you can pre-empt their idiocy and get around it and then have a good race once they give up and disconnect.

On that topic, I saw someone in a Nordschleife lobby last night wait all that bloody time it takes for the race to get to the grid and then **** up at the first corner and quit... Why wait all that time for a 4 lap race on the Nordschleife to start and give up at the earliest moment!?! The mind boggles...

Are the G25 pedals the same resolution as the G29?

Animera, what do the T3PA pedals not do for you that the Logitech delivers? Hmm, don't like the sound of that. Logitech 8 bit, 256 steps. Thrustmaster 10 bit, 1024 steps.

The 919 Hybrid 2015 is a stunning piece of kit. I had a 15 lap practice session tonight at Vallelunga testing combinations of the hybrid settings. It is a real monster yet really quite easy to drive.

Speaking of monster Porsches, I had to calm the rear of both 962C cars because they have a real habit of kicking their arse out under braking.

The Red Pack and Porsche Pack Vol II are the best DLC I have ever got for a game. So much so I really want to stay home from work tomorrow and just lap and lap and lap...

I have the same issue with the 962's, from 3rd to 2nd gear. Sometimes it is good as it helps rotate the car, but can be tricky in really heavy braking zones.

The 919 might be my favourite ever car in any racing game already... its just incredible.

Is it just me, or is the 488 GT3 slow in the straights?

Balance of performance. Cars like the Nissan and particularly the Lamborghini are really good on the straights. Makes for really good racing as different cars are faster in different sections of the track.

That new Ferarri GT3 seems to stop and corner well though.. (base setup) I had a nice battle with one this morning driving the Merc GT3. He was able to get me to push to deep after a couple laps and got by me. Was great fun.
I didn't like the 488 GTB when i first tried it on Brands Hatch. i then raced it online the next day at Monza, great car.

Shift up before the boost starts decreasing. Don't let shift lights go all red. My second favorite GT3 car next to the 650s.

I can't think of a GT3 car that I particularly dislike to be honest. I don't use the Lamborghini much, but the others I use pretty regularly. I didn't drive the Nissan for a while as I always prefer more nimble cars to rockets on the straights, but I had to use it in an online race recently on the Red Bull Ring and I streaked to an easy win (in what seemed like a decent enough field). It handled great round there, so that might replace the Mercedes as my go-to weapon of choice...

So today after going for a less agressive driving style than usual i got the SFT15 around Imola in some fluid laps.

BUT then i thought i can not be that ****** by driving a 1:30, and then i stopped the time again by myself and it was 1:24. so the Game is completely broken on Xbox atleast as far as lap Times are concerned. I thought maybe its a bug on RBR only but it isnt.
