Looks nice.
Despite our best efforts, we are unable to launch our next major console update at the end of this month, as hoped. However, we’re pushing hard and fingers crossed, we should have a release date to share with you all very soon. We’re almost there!
Thank you all so much for your continued patience and support - It means so much to the team!
This update is full of incredible content and features, including Custom Online Lobbies, Custom Championships and much more. Stay tuned for more info...
Well, it's not really a surprise they wouldn't make it happen in April, but it's looking good at least.
Noticed that, too.I see you can change the track "speed" Does that mean we will be finally able to do this in single player too? I hope so! Looks like the wait was worth it!
#ACVersion2!

It looks promising but the second image looks like 'select model' is all about setting up one-make races. I hope we can compile the grid down to every car.
It really sounds sweet and i bet it'll be once we finally get it...Sweet! I hope everything works without any issues. The wait will have been worth it. I don't mean the 9 month wait, but the fact that this update is taking about a month and a half to two months longer than we thought. I think you guys are going to love being able to lower the track surface from a 100% perfect track surface. Even if you only lower it to "Fast" which is like 98-99% instead of 100% like you guys were confined to, you'll see a bit of difference in your lap times. I really think you'll all be pleased.
I can't remember the exact details of the different surface conditions we have already on the PC version, but I think it's the surface condition called "Green" that starts off at like 94-95% but gradually gets better over time. It's not 2 or 3 laps...I'm talking about 10 laps or more, I think. I'll try to find out the exact definitions of these different surfaces, unless someone knows and can post the info here.
As far as I'm aware, console players will be getting the custom/private lobbies, custom user created championships, every remaining car upgraded from v7 to v10 tires, every car's inertia values recalculated (more accurate), the ability to finally change track surface condition....anything else? That sounds like a pretty sweet update. Oh, the cars too. Mazda 787B, Miata and whatever other assets consoles are currently missing (are there any others?)... 👍
Yup... After that Stefano casillo given 2 replies that makes think that they don't even want to introduce one of the most demanding features from the console version users community.... :That's good, really good. Shame about button mapping but at least two major features are out of the way now.

Lets hope that the user re-ask for the features and report missing buttons or not working good as intended buttons and they change their mind giving us button mapping.
Hmmm that's odd, in the end of year blog it says something about controller customisation. This doesn't bother me that much currently but it annoys me that i cant turn TC off on the fly in the LaFa. I cant imagine them ignoring this request forever. A petition posted to their FB might be handy. It's disheartening and frustrating to hear Stefano say he doesn't think button mapping is necessary.
The part about reporting the "problem" in a new thread is pathetic, too.
Maybe we should, indeed, open a new thread saying:
"It's a driving sim, therefore it needs button mapping. In fact, you already do it on the PC, so you must understand its importance. Can't be rocket science, too, since everyone else does it. Have a nice day."

Woah... That guy is a little detached. I don't really do the drifting thing, but seriously they have been all over telling Kunos how important custom button mapping is..
How on Earth could they still not have it in this huge update?
Don't get me wrong, I'm excited for this update and will be on it as soon as it drops but, button mapping not important? Geez...
I hear you. I really wish I could find out the precise reason behind the refusal to implement button remapping. I have many ideas in my head due to my personal experiences as a programmer, however, I worked in the Financial Services Group of an enormous corporation.Woah... That guy is a little detached. No sense.... Stefano replied he can map the buttons on the wheel. It's obvious there must be some kind of difficulty, or it would have been implemented already.
The way Pro Evo deals with unlicensed kits would be a good way around this. The Button Mapping becomes important on Cars with TC AND KERS. Like the P1 or FXX K.
Cause i cant turn off TC with those cars unless i disable it completely.
Also had asked on YT and they said getting official liveries is pretty difficult.
Which i somehow understand now, but isnt this free advertising for everyone involved?
Its especially disappointing with the 488 GT3.
Its good to see they throw us a bone with the next update and hopefully the next DLC shortly after. The Livery Issue could easily be fixed through some shared server where People could upload Liveries like its with Forza but yeah im more likely to go full on pc before that ever happens.

As you imply, there is a handful of hybrid cars with multiple TC levels we don't get to experience because MGU settings overwrite the TC command.
Can you guys/gals not adjust the TC setting in the car setup? Should be under the Electronics tab I believe.
Consoles don't have the electronics tab the PC has, TC has to be changed from the wheel/controller.
