Wow! Good update!

Sounds issues seems fixed!

Nice championship mode, you can even customise the name of the drivers.

Finally track surfaces in all modes.

Framerate with 16 cars on track in one of the most problematic track (Barcelona) seems really improved! Didn't get stuttering when took damage.... That is really good news.

Online lobbies settings are nice, but we can't open one for the moment.... Gives error.
Will be oparative during the day.

Brake pressure option on all cars... Great:tup:

Camera and VoF settings on cockpit view (only allow the view with visual steering wheel):bowdown:
Has even an automatic setting that fits camera position and fov fitted for your TV.

In news section they've wrote that there's new hardware compatibility.... The fanatec CLS elite.... Good news for fanatec wheel users.

They didn't add new special events for the new cars.
Still no false starts feature :banghead:

Really good update. Good job kunos 👍

along with the adjustable brake pressures, there are about 10-15 cars that also have brake temperatures functioning. Mostly older cars like F40, Miura - those types. I can't remember all of them off the top of my head.

Oh wow! Good for the console players. 👍 Look at all of the excitement following the announcement. Not a single post in 25 hours.   I think I saw tumbleweed blow past a minute ago.
This morning wasn't yet out....

Also I fear 90% of people Monday have moved out.

Hope I'll manage to make a good online league with decent numbers.

Check the update thread, I've found a way to remove virtual steering wheel. Alsonew cars are usually added to special after the update. I bet they get added with the next DLC.

I did this one:
918- Me
918- Lotterer
P1- Fernando Alonso
P1 - Vandoorne
Laferrari - Vettel
Laferrari - Raikkonen
GT3RS - Jaminet
GT3RS - Neel Jani
GT3RS - Brendon Hartley
458- Giovinazzi
458- Charles Leclerc
458- James Calado
MP4-12C - Jenson Button
MP4-12C - Lando Norris
MP4-12C - Kevin Estre

:D

Yes hammy! With the new camera and VoF settings option on PS4.

You put VoF to 90 degrees and move camera backwards.... You can even move the camer outside the car :D

Nice to take some screenshots

Genial amigo!! Gracias! :D

What's the lowest possible percentage for track grip in the PC version? I was trying out the green or old surface setting (don't remember which one of the two) and the grip percentage was 88%. Weather conditions were fairly good but I expected a lower percentage.

Has anyone checked whether track grip is fixed or dynamic on PS4?

I'm not sure what the minimum is but 88% is a lot lower than you'd think and will have a fairly dramatic impact on how your car drives and feels. Weather conditions can have an impact on grip too, early morning with low ambient will have less grip than noon with high ambient, at least on the PC anyway.

Yup. You're so on the money...Make the air temp as low as it will go and that track surface will have an extremely lower temperature than most drivers are used to.

I haven't been driving quite as much lately, but when I was setting up custom championships a while back I would always slip in a race or two with awful conditions like that - just to mix it up a bit. It's certainly better to have the options available and not use them, then want to use them but not even have them available. 👍

Regarding the Highlands track: yesterday, before turning off my PS4 (all my time was consumed with the Quattro), I couldn't resist and still gave the track a try, using the MX-5 NA.

And, well, just like I expected (from the videos I've seen of the track and from some opinions), I didn't like the track at all. Basically, it's too wide and its corners are too fast.
In my opinion, it fails as being a "track" but, most importantly, it fails as being a nice stretch of road for some nice road car action.

I mean, driving the MX-5 there became ridiculously boring and uninspiring, when the prospect of driving an MX-5 around Scottish roads is exactly the opposite.

A shame, because Assetto Corsa is exactly missing locations for us to take all the nice road cars that the game has to offer. PC users have the mods to play around, but us console players don't even have the Trento Bondone hill climb to play with.

Not trying to complain here as much as just expressing my opinion. But in all honesty, I see this as a wasted opportunity (even if a freebie). Especially for console players.

Finally decided to take the plunge with this on the PS4, seeing as it was discounted on the PS Store.

Having initially gone in with low expectations, I must say I am pleasantly surprised about how much I like it. I play with a G29 and the driving experience is a real joy. The weight and balance of the cars is fantastic.

As an overall package, it is lacking in several areas, but as a circuit driving experience I think it's currently unrivalled on console.

I've never played the PC version, so I'm not overly familiar with the specific advantages it has over the console version. Maybe ignorance is bliss in my case? :P

I only had one quick go but that's why i avoided a lower powered car and tried it with a beast.

Yes, ignorance is bliss. Do not look in the PC Mod thread or News and General Discussion thread. I did. Result: bought a PC.

Have you had a chance to play AC on the PC yet? If so, what's your impressions on the differences between the two? I don't think the differences are as big as some think, especially after yesterday's update, so I'm curious to see the opinion of a convert who has started on the console version and moved to the PC version.

Hi Donnced, what sound issues have been fixed?

Definitely not the menu music coming from just one channel (after the first play). That's still there.
Well, the first thing i did was put my headphones on.
And music in menú sounded all the time on both channels.
Will have a look again today towards it and if get problems well report it back.

Would be great that those like you report this to the bug reports console section on the official support forum.
Because how much more user report it how better.

Yes, on loading the game up, sound comes through all channels [as 35mm mentioned]. Go on track for a session, then back out & see what happens to the music.

Well, I did my part when we had the sound failing and cracking all over in cockpit view. You might remember that.

The fact that I got zero feedback from anyone there and the subsequent changes they've made to the way people were supposed to report the problems (and the mess that whole forum is) kind of held me back from posting more.

Yup, true! I just remembered that now.

Yes,they don't give quite some feedback, but we have see bug fixed as the missing rear aero settings on the 2 Ferrari F1 or texture glitches on Lotus cars, praga R1..

So the reports work.
Now it's easy. Console section / bug reports / open tread.

Meanwhile i replied in the tread i opened last time and report it back that it isn't fixed. 👍

I tested these surface settings a bit more today and I'm getting some odd results. I've been running a handful of sessions using only the 'fast' surface setting. Despite also using identical track conditions (air temperature, cloud coverage, etc.) in each session, the track grip percentage varies a lot. Sometimes fast surfaces are at 96%, 97%, 98%, 99% or even 100% grip. Isn't 100% reserved for optimum surfaces? Again, same surface and track conditions every time I noticed these deviations. Is there an explanation for this, or are we possibly looking at another bug in the console version?

There is a randomness built into it so you're never sure which exact conditions you're going to get. I kinda like that, keeps you on your toes and forces you to adapt to different situations. That's why wind was just added in the PC update, to throw another variable into the mix and force you to adapt instead of just relying on muscle memory. On the PC side you can control the amount of randomness if you're creating a server but AFAIK you don't have any control over it offline.

Oh, that's cool. I considered randomness as a possibility but wrote it off. I was under the impression that each variable combined to a predetermined value. 👍
