Sorry for not reading the details. Usually one assumes buying a season pass has a set meaning across all games. All DLC through the life of the game. Yes it sucks, and they are an annoying company. Still waiting for more than half of the stuff that's on PC.

Yes, everyone jump on the "make DesertPenguin feel obviously stupid" bandwagon!

And 35mm, it already got me a few times for numerous other reasons. I've built up scar tissue hehe

Psshhh, next you're going to tell me the letters on that big red street sign were telling me to STOP and if I had read it I wouldn't have gotten in that crash. :embarrassed:

#fakenews
Bits and pieces missing really. Can't select gear before start, no jump start as a consequence. Can't choose opponents in either quick race or race weekend despite the championship add on allowing that. I'm sure there's other stuff but I can't remember.

More than 50% worth?

Still, the difference is huge. And bugs it's also something to have in mind.

I really doubt it's as big as some people seem to think. And even if there was no difference I still think a lot of people would be very disappointed with it. After three years I still have a lot of lingering disappointment with it and have realized it will never be what I thought it was going to become during the early access days, but I find all the other PC sims more disappointing so it ends up being my go-to, but that's not because I love it or even think it's all that great.

I guess, in a nutshell, it's quite likely that people who are disappointed with AC on consoles would likely be disappointed with it on PC and would certainly be disappointed with sims like rF2, AMS, and R3E. I know I have been for the most part.

Probably. But still, the difference it's really huge:
-No drag
-No photomode
-No AI slider for performance and no slider at all for
-No official support for UDP (it works but not like it should)
-No button mapping that works properly
-No bop
-No ability to select the cars on the quick race mode
-No trento
-No proper replays
...

These are the options that quickly come out of my mind. I dont even want to think how long would be the list if I owned the PC version. People that have owned both versions say that they are like two different games. And then we have the matter of the bugs and issues.

People are right to say that Assetto is disappointing; even more when it was promissed to be the same.

PD: The bad things don't negate the good things and vice versa.

I never disagreed with that and was trying to point out that if they're disappointed with the console version they would probably be disappointed with the PC version too. Overall I'd say I find it disappointing and I've only ever played the PC version. And again, most of the things you listed would not magically transform it into a great game. Nobody uses the drag strip, very few bother with Trento any more because it looks like a PS2-era track, I believe bop only works online and it's a bit of a pain (I never see it even being discussed so I presume it's not used much), we also have limited button mapping (better than console but still limited), photomode is so infuriating to use it's pretty much pointless, so I really doubt the inclusion of any of those things would do much to change people's opinions of the game on console. Sure, the PC experience is better in some ways, but nothing that makes it drastically better than the console version IMO.

I have got it on PC and PS4. Anyone who says they are like two different games is being dishonest.

Yes there are differences, you've pointed some out. There are others. Trento is never going to happen because it isn't good enough quality for PC never mind Console but the fundamentals of the game are the same. If you don't like it on console it is pretty much guaranteed you wouldn't like it on PC.

Exactly! That's all I've been trying to get at, yes there are differences but as of the recent console update most of them aren't enough to make a real impact and if you're dissatisfied with the console version you'd very likely be dissatisfied with the PC version (and likely with most of the other PC racing sims).

People are mostly asking for stuff that it's either broken or already exists on the PC.

Where are you getting the "if you don't like it on console, you won't like it on PC" thing from? That's far from the point.

Also, I've witnessed a fair amount of people who went from console to PC, mostly for this game. Again, this is exactly the opposite of what you're saying.

PC user told me BOP works offline too. It is fundamental if you wanna create close competition.

They are not being dishonest, they just simply have a different view from you because all the things I say and what Im not saying or know are, honestly speaking, enough to me to say that the game it's noticeable different.

Let's get to the bugs matter:

PS4
Does the game on PC delay the race of an online lobby for more time than it should (sometimes 15 mins and in Nordschleife more than half an hour)?
Does the game on PC erase sometimes the progress on custom championships?
Does the game on PC provoke an earthquake to the T150 when standing still?

Get popcorn for the XBOX list
Does the game on PC erase all your progress on the game with the last update?
Does the game on PC erase every time set ups?
Does the game on PC erase every time custom championships?
Did the game on PC crash for a week or so?

And then we have the matter of the delay between consoles and PC (4 months right now)...

Yes, I really doubt I (and probably most of the people) would have a similar level of disappointment with the PC version.

PD: And this was the discussion "People are dissapointed with differences between PC and consoles that should not be", so if we add to the equation mods, apps, support without idiotic submission problems then yes, those people are definetly right when they say the games are very different (although this is not something Kunos has to solve, obviously).

I think I've said it earlier today, the console vs. PC version discussion isn't all about one platform having more features than the others. My disappointment revolves around the way it which Kunos approaches support for consoles. From that perspective, no doubt I'd be happier with the PC version.

If you have a pretty good game PC obviously it will run better than on Console - but I can tell you the PS4 version beats the hell out of my middling laptop version. The GAME is not the difference.

Imagine you go to a pizza place and order a pepperoni and sausage pizza. You get the pizza, the sauce is bland, the cheese is rubbery, the crust is chewy, and they forgot to put the sausage on it. Would sending it back and having them add sausage do anything to improve the quality of the pizza? Not likely. And if they guy in the booth next to you did get sausage on his pizza and told you it really wasn't any better, would you listen to him or still be upset about not getting what's missing or exists on another guy's pizza? Stands to reason that if you don't like it without sausage, you probably won't like it with sausage. Same with AC, if you don't like it on console you probably won't like on PC.

I have a spreadsheet with all the cars on console over on the AC forums, just updated it with the Ready To Race DLC cars (a total of 164 cars in the game now). I also have the car in-game stats and made car classes so you can see which cars you race against if you select "same class" for quick race.

I've noticed the strangest bug or glitch affecting one of my absolute favourite car / track combos. RUF Yellowbird on Nordschleife (PS4) results in the rear suspension bouncing up and down, and the issue is most noticeable when the car is parked to a standstill. It's not much but enough to wonder whether it affects handling and physics. It doesn't happen when taking the Yellowbird to a track like Nürburgring GP, so quite weird... Same on PC?

Absolutely wonderful job mate.

@breyzipp awesome work man!
I've given myself the right to copy that sheet and have it!

One request, and that probably require the help of our PC colleagues, we need the power/torque graph that PC users enjoy!
It's awesome to see when/where peak power is achieved which will help to know when to shift (over rev or short rev).

On another note, I think the guys mentioning SEASON PASS are right, if we want to be honest to ourselves!

A season pass means that you get ALL DLCs and expansions, whether currently available or future ones! That's how it is wildly known/accepted and how other games/devs are treating it!

It really sucks to pay now for the RTR and the upcoming Ferrari 70th birthday pack!

Now, as much as I like AC and would like to support them, I'm giving it some thoughts before buying the RTR! And that's mainly because of the price!
10$ may look cheap but it isn't, especially when we have payed already too much for the game and the season pass!
Besides, it doesn't look cheap when there are some games available for ~12 to 15$ on sales! Full games at that price!

I think they should really price it lower than that or at least give "season pass owners" some special price!

Yeah copy as you like, if you post it elsewhere just link the original AC forum thread as well since that's the thread that goes with it and the one I look at for requests and post about future updates.

Adding a graph per car is probably difficult but if you can get all the rpms for max torque per car feel free to send them via PM and I will add them.
