I won't be buying Pcars2 for a while, will wait to see what deal is first and wait for any teething issues to be solved. Plus will be in the sale within 6 weeks probably. So this R2R pack and update is good timing for me.

I no longer buy games on release, was going to pre order micro machinces but what a mess codies made of that. Glad I didn't buy it and served as a reminder to wait a month before I buy new releases.

Im not sure if it is a good idea to wait for sales. None of the individual DLCs has changed its price since the release except for the prestige pack and performance pack. Maybe this is explained because all the DLCs except for the prestige pack and performance pack (actually they are, but publicly they are not) are included on the season pass... or maybe not, and the price for the RTR pack never drops.

I will buy the RTR when it comes out because its unknown territory how its price will evolve. When the Ferrari pack comes out, I will know how the price of the DLCs that dont belong to the season pass evolve, so with the Ferrari pack I will know if it is a good idea or not to buy it when it's released.

Agreed. But I'll be buying the DLC for this all the same. It is far and away my favourite race game on PS4.

I feel the same way about Pcars2 to be honest. Couldn't get into Pcars1 [which I pre-ordered], just couldn't get the FFB dialed into my liking after god knows how much time trawling through various forums and guides. So gave up on it eventually. Everything with AC just clicked straight away.

I know a lot of you guys on here have had a lot of enjoyment out of Pcars1, which is great. Will be interested to hear some opinions on Pcars2 once it lands, particularly from the respected members on here, Scaff, etc. 👍

Thanks

I will be getting the RTR DLC as I've found value in everyone of the packs so far and the content of this one appeals to me a lot. However I'm also getting PC2, WRC and Baja HD at launch. All within the next two weeks.

Its going to be busy!

Yes you may be onto something there with regards to the season pass and DLC sales.

However I will be buying R2R as soon as it drops, topped my PSN wallet up weeks ago for it. I find AC dlc great value, especially in comparison to money I've dropped on Rocket League keys. Everybody's Golf came out last week and one golf cart dlc is £3.99 lol.

Same, was heartbroken by codies bodge job on MicroMachines lol. It made me put off buying Everybody's golf for a while until the players reviews are out.

Thanks

Oh yes can't wait for Baja HD, didn't realise it was coming out so soon.

Too many games, not enough time . I quite like the look of WRC 7 based on the bits of it I've seen, but I'm still plodding my way through Dirt Rally at a snails pace[and still enjoying it for what it's worth].

I will be buying the DLC given the update doesn't break something major. RTR fills some important gaps but it is in my opinion the most unappealing AC car pack compiled so far. Meanwhile, I'll gladly donate wherever I can. The AC vision is one I can mostly agree while other titles often fumble in their attempt to find a sweet spot between gaming and simulation. Enjoying cars in a great simulation is the pure joy that doesn't get old, but the middle ground games tend to get old no matter how thorough they are in content, features and bug-riddled progression systems. I've kind of moved on after 20 years of the same old cycles.

I intend to buy this DLC.

10 more cars for my every car on every track hot lapping series :)

I plan to do it with Project Cars 2 after this one but it can wait ;)

And nothing... The silence is icing on the cake on a day where I was supposed to take a Porsche 911 Turbo to track, but the opportunity passed by by due to ridiculous weather. :grumpy:

Actually, the latest news from them was, again, of an issue with the Xbox One version.

I wonder, by the way, if that's already sorted?

Probably they haven't said nothing about the new update to respect the XBOX users. Not the nicest idea to announce the release of the patch when you cant even play the game.

But the patch is most likely coming. Dont think MS would date the update without the approval of Kunos. Let's prey the issue is solved before the release.

Again? What could possibly cause a problem like that more than once? It must be some sort of incompetence on Microsoft's end.

Seems to be the same issue that happened back in August. A friend of mine told me that after installing the new Xbox update, the game was working fine, but crashed immediately when he tried to join an open lobby and now he's stuck in offline mode with AC (disc version). Could be an issue on Kunos' end (server side) since every other digital game works fine for him.

So can we still expect the pack to be available this Wednesday?

I hope so.. be a nice little birthday present to myself ;D
I'd like to think so, but with the crashing issue occurring on XboxOne again I would not be surprised to see it held off. Without sounding cold to XboxOne users, hopefully the PS4 version will not have to suffer another delay for v1.15 and Ready to Race. I have been ready to race for the past 3 months.

I think if there is no update on a v1.15 release date tomorrow then we could be left in limbo. Again. Fingers crossed!

Happy birthday!

Does anybody know if there is an option to adjust throttle input on a PS4 controller? My R2 button is a little iffy and doesn't always register full throttle, I've looked in the options and can only see settings for steering, I would think throttle should be in there somewhere but AC has surprised me in the past!

There isn't a setting for this. I had a similar problem with my old controller and replacing it was my only option at the time. If the update arriving later this week brings fully customizable button mapping, as the developers promised long ago, then you could consider assigning throttle to another button.

Update 1.5 now alive on Xbox One (1.47GB)

New AI, upgrade physics, fixes, button mapping...

Lets see when it lands for PS4

I was wondering why the game felt different. Thanks. Seen some of the new cars too. I couldn't purchase the pack though.

Thank Goodness this is finally being released after 4 months! Can't remember if any other pack took this long before! Anyway, good stuff 👍

Race Ready pack this week, PC2 next week, Forza 7 the week after, week after that holiday in Tenerife. Good time to be a race and car fan

Thanks, I didn't realise button mapping was actually coming, or so soon.

I knew it was a good idea to leave my PS4 in "Rest Mode" this morning, before leaving home for work. :D
