And you really believe that those fixes will happen now, 1 year after the launch?
That's being too optimistic, if you ask me.

I understand that it shouldn't be the way to do things, but realistically it's the only way, unfortunately. And the sooner, the better.

Right now, I just wish Kunos would move on to AC2.

Releasing a fresh piece of software (equal for all platforms) as soon as possible is the way to go, in my opinion.
I'll never understand people who'd rather wait for the next game than play the one that is out. :)

I didn't mention anything about not playing AC right now, did I? :)
I'm also not holding my breath for anything. Especially not coming from Kunos.

Having said that, I can understand console players moving on to other games in a couple of months... AC for the consoles, right now, is just hurting Kunos' credibility (for all the various reasons).
What I was doing was just expressing my opinion on what (I think) would be best for Kunos right now, in order to minimize this.

Even from the perspective of a PC player, shouldn't they start announcing that they're working on something, with new features, etc.? Are AC sales still growing? I do wonder...

I'm more than ready for them to move on. The current engine is limited in what it can do which is the reason for some of the bizarre functions/omissions in the current game and they're probably at the point of diminishing returns with it. Move on to a new engine and use what they learned from this version to do the next version properly from the ground up. I do wonder if they have the patience/desire to do another one though, it's gotta suck pouring your heart and soul into a product that has a very toxic and abusive customer base.

That's what I fear as well.

And the more time passes, the less likely it seems.

Right, but Digi Bros wouldn't have bought them if they didn't see more products in their future so I imagine they'll soldier on in one capacity or another.

So you think that would be best for Kunos credibility to leave behind a game that is not finished (again: bugs, issues, features missing) to do another game? It's quite contradictory isnt it?

That kind of move would be very bad publicity for a second game.

I agree a bast part of console users are quite "special" (with special I mean completely stupid and unreasonable) and I dont have any doubt of the commitment of Kunos with AC (specially Stefano from what I can see). But Im afraid Kunos deserves a bit the critics. They promissed a game that was very different from what we received.

Im sure if they would have done what they had to do (meaning releasing the game with the features of PC) still a lot of people would have complain about no private lobbies inside the game or no leaderboards, but in that case they could defend themselves saying they did what they promissed.

I never said they didn't deserve criticism, and the PC crowd can be just as brutal and toxic as the console players.

I have zero doubt people would have still found something to complain about. Afterall, sim racers favorite past times are complaining and arguing with strangers on the internet. :sly:

Except I don't think it will ever be "finished". In fact, some things are getting worse and taking more time.
That's the premise for my thinking.

If the opposite was happening, i.e. if they were showing signs of getting everything nice and running (and quickly), then maybe I wouldn't be saying this - and even then I'm not so sure, looking at the new games coming.

I'll be damned...

Yeah, this is usually a good indication that it is coming soon (new patch + DLC availability).
I should be excited but somehow im not this time. Might be that right now im more thinking of my clock going past midnight for F1 2017 to unlock.

Will get the Pack though regardless as i want those other LMP Cars and the P1.

Gone up a bit too early. Still it's a hopeful sign.

I think it's safe to assume the update has been submitted, but that can be a lengthy process on Xbox. Sony hasn't caused comparable trouble in the past, so possibly before September on PS4. Fingers crossed for both systems.

It seems that...

XBOX store updated the info of the DLC and now it says the DLC will be launched next week (the DLC will arrive with 1.15 patch). PS4 users most likely will get it next week too

First i will try out the 1.15 patch and see if they improved performance, fixed online settings bugs, offline championship bugs, sound bug and that the new things are well ported and implanted.

If they aren't, don't gonna spend more money on DLC's.

Well, we learned that lesson when the PPV2 DLC released. Great cars but poor update. Subsequent hot fixes made it better but this next update needs to be stellar after all this time. :nervous:
