I didn't say I think we would. However, correcting glitched liveries was said to be the focus of the big February update, so it's unacceptable that it ended up making things worse. They also need to fix the game crashing issue that seemingly travels from car to car. It's been a while since I lost hope for a near bug-free experience, but these latest problems are so off-putting.
 
i'll see what happens tomorrow when devs get back to work. if we hear something from pankykapus about the glitched liveries or from the community manager about the audi crash, then my hopes for another update will be a little bit higher.

Not only is the myriad of faulty liveries annoying for the players, I'd also say we're getting into license infringement territory. You pick a Porsche 911 Turbo S in Night Blue Metallic and the car now appears oddly lilac instead of dark blue. Kunos cannot afford to mistreat their partnership with Porsche, or any other manufacturer who entrusted AC with their brands. It's a disservice on multiple levels until these glitched colors and liveries get fixed once and for all.

I also believe that "Viola SE30" (metallic purple) on the Huracan Performante looks more like pink instead of the proper shade of purple.
 
Total silence from Kunos regarding the gamebreaking issue with the Group B Audi. They quickly commented on similar problems with the F2004, C7.r and 919, so this is not very reassuring.

I know there are other gameplay issues (audio coming from one channel, dor issues, plenty of AI bugs and others), but the list was made only for graphical problems (skins that change colors depending on the camera angle/distance, glitchy textures etc.)
 
i don´t know if it´s fixed but the Huracan Performante with the black livery was dark green too with the version 1.17!
BTW: We should work as testers for KUNOS :D

Those mentioned so far are probably just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to glitched liveries. One would think there is something fundamentally wrong with the livery system at this point, but this is only an assumption based on the scope of the problem.
 
Oh damn this is really a huge list of glitched liveries ... WTF did they do the last months?! + they don´t answer on the things we write in the offical forum! :/ I´m moving to PC again!

ps: there's another glitch on the 787b. The display shows the delta compared to the previous time, but the max negative value is -0.9.

I see at least five reasons why Kunos cannot afford to and would not want to ignore this:

  • These livery issues make them look like amateurs to both customers and business partners. I'm quite sure that Porsche demanded a console version of AC as a condition to enter an official partnership with Kunos. I can guarantee you that Porsche and their proud history would hate these branded paints and liveries to remain broken forever. You don't want to mess up so bad when the likes of Porsche and Ferrari have entrusted their brands to your company.
  • AC Ultimate Edition is coming, which should lure more new players into the fold. Now is not the best time to mess things up, especially as Kunos wants us to buy into into their joint venture with the SRO / Blancpain GT Series (ACC).
  • One of the developers already expressed his sympathy for frustrated console players, implying they'd do whatever they can to fix the Giulia Quadrifoglio dashboard glitch. If this minor glitch matters to the developers, then all the broken liveries should matter even more.
  • Fixing liveries was a piority for the Bonus Pack 3 update. Then making things worse is completely unacceptable and extremely pointless.
  • They've attempted to fix previous game crashing bugs (F2004, Corvette C7R and Porsche 919). Why stop now?

These are all very good reasons..but nobody from kunos has commented on the most recent issues. the community manager said something about the previous 3 crashes in a matter of minutes, pankykapus has always replied when tagged but not anymore. Odds are not looking good.

I'll be happy to be proven wrong, but i'm 90% sure that we won't see another update, unless they got tons of bad press on this matter, but that's extremely unlikely.
 
Well, back in January, Panky said "non game-breaking graphics-related problems are unlikely to be fixed beyond this point" and, even if they fixed a few of them recently, I'm not going to hold my breath for further patches. However, if someone from Kunos say they're going to fix the Audi crash, then I do hope that the next update will also correct the liveries.

You won't see any feature/content updates but they will most likely fix the problems with the liveries.

I'd be happy if they could just fix the paintjobs. The only pc feature i've asked for was the ability to customize the cockpit view and Kunos provided it a year ago, so I don't have further requests.

I could be wrong, but i think that's how compressed textures look like (if that's the issue you're talking about).

both good points. the audi's glitch is technically game breaking and not graphics-related. Patch it and take the chance to implement fixes for the broken skins = win win

Likely scenario. They've said no more content or features but that they would address any bugs/glitches so I'd presume the worst of the problems will be fixed (wouldn't hold your breath on the Alfa dash problem though, sounds like that's a tough nut to crack).
