@bleeder i Love your set ups for PC I take them all are you also make for F1 game?
Cheers, dude. It's taken me best part of a year to understand what I'm doing though lol. I sometimes surprise myself that some of my tunes from last year still feel OK to drive.

As for F1, it's been years since I've bought an F1 game but 2016 looks pretty decent from the videos I've seen so far, but I've no plans to buy it until later in the year at the earliest. I hope Assetto Corsa will give me over a year of enjoyment like pCARS has done.

is there a list of career events and special events?
thanks
However pre-ordered. still can't believe it's an Italian game :)
A while back it was on major italian news as its by bloody far the most successful italian game

the special events are a little hard to screenshot as it only shows six at a time and there is way over a hundred

Thats the whole campaign, the unlocking is a bit messed up because i modded it as im lazy but thats it, that shows the main blocks and then the little numbers show the number of events within.

Also you dont have to win to get to the next sector

from what i have seen before there are some parallels to the typical gt carer, right? in terms of each category having events you aim to get gold in and you accumulate points earning gold ot unlock the next stages?

it works with point requirements or trophy requirements, they are pretty easy to get imo but i did the campaign after several hundred hours of experience.

Anything that gives a sense of accomplishment is good. One thing that Project Cars lacked because everything was unlocked from the start.

Not everything was unlocked in career mode of project C.A.R.S..
Wining Championships and invitationals you can unlock other invitational races and championships.
The problem in project C.A.R.S is that it's all bad explained and mounted.

He means all cars. I agree about PCars having a horribly presented Career. In fact the UI as a whole was a disappointment.

Yes indeed mate, the UI presented in Project is a disappointment, there aren't even explanations of what all options do.
About cars...i think it's like project, all cars unlocked and available since the beginning.

Are you 100% positive that you don't have to win to get to the next sector every now and then? I haven't looked at the Career Mode in forever, but I know some things are greyed out. I lost all my AC files and had to start over and I never go into Career Mode, so look at mine. I could have sworn that there are some "levels" or "classes" or whatever they call 'em, that you DO have to win (but it can be on any difficulty level if you wanna make it easy) in order to unlock the next round. Ugh...I am probably wrong, it's been so long since I've tried Career Mode. See the locks in the right corner of each block? I think that means there is a pre-requisite to unlock that Series...

I can understand the Career mode could of been way better in pcars but it wasn't no where near horrible. One of the best career modes (in a racing game) i ever played tbh.

No, I'm not saying the Career was horrible. It had plenty of events and longevity but the presentation of the UI itself was poor. It looked thrown together and the menu layout was not exactly straightforward.

Oh i thought you was talking about the career for a sec. Yea they could of done a better job in that area though.

How is the sense of speed compared to Pcars? Pcars doesn't seem fast to me, especially with more than 30 cars on the track.

I can never understand this argument.

PCars's career does give one the option to start from the bottom and work their way up, there's stuff to unlock in career (invitationals, accolades, career goals, contracts), all cars & tracks are unlocked from the start in solo mode but one has the option to not use the faster cars until one has mastered the lower classes.
The way I see it progress & sense of accomplishment are there, it all comes down to how people play the game.

Personally I find racing games that have everything unlocked from the start more rewarding than grind-based games like GT.

Those types of unlockables aren't that great in my mind. I'd rather unlock and work towards cars. Makes me feel like I'm actually building a garage and I'd be picky about what I choose to buy since money would be an issue. Not to the level of GT5 or GT6 grind but something would be nice.

depends on the fov you set it at. the lower the fov the slower it will appear to be. If you have the same fov as you would in pcars though it would appear slightly faster in ac. not a massive amount but noticable if you are looking for a difference

I cant remember the exact quote but from the lead dev he said that we would be ****ing pissed off after all the time spent making X or Y car and it being ignored because of some bs progression system.

He is a very direct no nonsense person so he is pretty brunt which is great as he doesnt hide things but if you dont like what he is saying then it could be an issue. Anyways he very much likes the older days of games where everything was there at the start

For the players on p.c , is there a option to allow outboard car sound to be used in car...?

Technically there is. If you press F5 and move the free camera into the car and in front of the driver eyes then you will get the exterior sound. It's not very practical though, as you will have to move it there every time you start a race. There is no save function that I know of.

So I haven't raced anything in a long time. Even put the wheel away to wait for assetto corsa. Finally got the wheel back out to play pcars a bit since my brother just got a scion FRS, thought it would be fun. First run took about 15 minutes to set up the ffb for the FRS, had about 6 wheel crashes, (ps4, t500rs) but got a few laps in. Came back later, never even got going. (After 30 min) Wheel never properly calibrated. I guess what I'm saying is, I CANT WAIT FOR ASSETTO CORSA (And hopefully it actually works)

A ^T500RS + Assetto Corsa? Prepare for something wonderful! :)
That's what I like to hear, I've a T500 also and I've just completely rebuilt my CSP's with new boards.
I can't wait for this game to finally release, if it really does feel as natural and intuitive as I've read then I'll be in heaven with it.
I'm thinking an F40 around Brandshatch for my first testdrive!

Just like when pCARS was to be imminently released, I've been planning my first AC drives. Probably take out a car I know well from pCARS on a track I know well. Perhaps the 12C GT3 round Imola or Silverstone as an easy starting point. Definitely will be doing lots of comparison tests to see for myself how much better AC's handling/physics is.

I'm gonna do something similar like the BMW 1M coupe or BMW M3 E30 DTM.

Already know mine. MX5 race car.

My personal go to car for teaching people the game is the BMW M235, its decent at everything, its great at any one thing and its fast enough for them to not get bored(gt86 sadly didnt impress some people). its not got a tonne of grip but the car will hold its line very well and will not commit seppuku if you go nuts, their temperature ceiling is very high.

Its what i use to learn a track as well

Well people will fall into line with the cars they like and others that they cant get along with, there will be that one psycho that uses a C9 Sauber as their reference car.
